Your recent ad in the newspaper had pop on sale, both Coke and Pepsi products, all the same sale price as long as you bought 4, 12 packs. $4.48 per 12 pack. NOWHERE does it say you can't Mix and Match. Not on any signage. Not in the ad. NOWHERE!! NO! WHERE!! But when I got to the register they said it has to be all Coke products or all Pepsi Products. What?? That's FALSE advertising!! Why Can't you put on all the signage NO MIXiNG!! You'd save us all a lot of frustration!! Great cashiers and stockers but products are not on the shelves. Things that they have sold for years are not, or spottily, available and upon asking why this is the managers will give you a BS reason as to why. I have no idea what they are doing with all the extra money that I'm spending on groceries lately. But they sure aren't using any of it to provide baskets for their customers to use while shopping at the Maplewood location. It's been over a year and no baskets. You can push one of the giant carts around and put the 4 items you need in it. Or you can just attempt to hold them in your arms as you make your way to the self checkout. But you can't just grab a hand basket and walk around the store and shop like you used to because that too much to ask for these days. Very bad experience at1021 15th Ave SE in Rochester MN Young gal monitoring self service stations ( 6-22 at 7:17 pm) refused to help me with a scanner and had a customer she was waiting on come over to my cart lift up the water and pop I had in my cart and scanned at my checkout. After he left I asked her why she didn't come to help me as I let her know I wanted to ask a question about no hand held scanners at self checkout! She said I have the only scanner by her -there are no scanners by self checkout stations! I told her this is the first time I did not see hand held scanners at self checkout stations! She acted like everything I said was a joke! On another time a few months ago a handicap young man (limps around) was helping bag my groceries at regular checkout (never seen this before) and I recall he put first first two bags on other side of my lane I was in at checkout -I talked a little to older woman cashier and forgot what he had done by putting two bags on other side. When I got home I was missing some groceries and called this store . The limping young man answered the phone (I recall his voice) and said yes the groceries I had from two bags were there yet and he commented I had goodies in the bags I had to go back to this store and get those two bags and I asked him and the older lady cashier why these two bags were missed and they both responded "I don't know". I Was so angry with them I turned and walked out and hadn't been back to that store till lately. I told the young gal last night "that is why I hate cub foods". I used to love your store! Cub pharmacy will no longer mail my prescriptions. I am a non-driving senior with very serious health issues. Cub made me join their rewards program to keep buying my prescriptions. I usually shop groceries closer to my home. I ordered a new credit card. Cub refuses to update my card number over the phone. They insist I come in person so they can see my new card. I have been using their pharmacy for years as this is where my insurance covers. I believe their policies and demands are too demanding. read more

I have been a shopper at Cub Eden Prairie for decades. That store has everything my wife and I need. All the store personnel, such as Alice and Mario to name two, are helpful and courteous. Today was my first try at online shopping. I spoke to Christina at Headquarters in an attempt to understand what I was doing wrong. She was patient and polite for the entire lengthy phone call. Because of my poor vision, I did not notice certain important parts of the various pages. Christina guided me through the process repeatedly. It was obvious she knew exactly what should and could be done. And she was able to identify very helpful changes to my payment problems. And finally, she was able to change the pick-up option to delivery. Bottom line: Christina is a keeper! read more

If I could give a zero or negative star rating, I would. That said, last night I visited Cub Foods on White Bear Ave in Maplewood (5/12/24). The word unprofessional would be an understatement. I scanned my 3 food items, all of which can purchased with EBT, only to find out that it wanted to tax me for one of the items. I informed the supervisor that all food purchased using EBT (excluding prepared food, alcohol, etc.) are never taxed and that there is a problem with Cub Food's computer system. All she basically said was that the computer says there is tax, so there must be tax. That said, I left the store without the item. What a terrible experience, in part because it showed me that she has zero customer service training/skills, is clueless when it comes to EBT issues, and lacked the basic communication skills needed to de-escalate a situation - yeah, she ticked me off. This is not the kind of person you want to have as an employee, let alone your supervisor. I will be recommending her for retraining, but I would prefer them to terminate her, which I would not say without cause, and she definitely deserves it. If you can not handle complaining customers, get a different job! read more

Miserable example of business practices in Eden Prairie, MN store using Instacart. Out of many, many common items -indicative of very poor planning as Aldi was able to supply all of them. Also very poor selection if substitutions provided. Will be using Aldi in the future -no time for such blatant incompetence. read more

Very disappointed with the lack of social distancing by store employees, even in the entryway. Also disappointed with the lack of sanitizing the checkout belts now seeming optional, depending on who is accepting your money. And third, now both sides of the bagging stations are both being used, difficult to keep your social distancing when this is taking place. My wife & I have been loyal customers on a weekly basis for many years at the White Bear Township location. We've continued to shop there during the entire Covid-19 Pandemic because we felt safe with Cub noting all the safety measures they were taking to make us feel safe while spending our money there while we have many other choices in the area. Now we're rethinking what is really important to them, but more importantly to us. read more

Once again, my experience with Cub on Lake Street today was bad. When it's time to check out there is only two cashiers available. One had a long line of customers waiting and the other the cashier was in the bagging area filing her nails, or texting or something having nothing to do with checking out. The self-service area was packed because even that wait wasn't as long as the wait with the human cashiers. I have come to call this store the "stink hole." Why?? Because it is so ridiculously and incomprehensibly poor in quality. While this Cub is close to my home, I would rather drive miles out of my way to not go to this particular Cub. Do you know the adage, "you can't polish a turd?" Well, you can't paint one over to get rid of the smell. It still stinks. No matter how you renovate, nothing will get better until you have a competent staff who are more concerned about the customer than they are about who's texting them, the color of their nails, or what to gossip about. If you are worried about Hy-Vee taking your business away, don't! You are driving customers away. I know this will fall on deaf ears. But I am teaching my grandchildren that it is important to speak your truth even in the face of a large corporation who is more interested in incompetence than providing quality customer service. Cub Foods, Stillwater MN. It hurts me to say, this store is not a good place to go shopping. Unfortunately the only place in this town. Working there is the worst decision I every made, I work myself to the bone yet they cut my hours back to nothing. The Management could care less about me and the only hard working employees. I have been with Cub pharmacy in Monticello, Mn. For over 8 yrs. Yet again, we have new pharmacists for whatever reason. They cant keep pharmacy staff. The new pharmacists have not only yelled at me, but they have lost 4 of my Rx's for controlled substances. (I believe this is illegal?) It certainly is frustrating! For each loss, I am scolded by the pharmacist for loosing my Rd. (I have never touched my Rx. It is sent to pharmacy thru email.) When I say I have spoken with clinic and they have verified they sent it. Cub staff continues to yell at me stating "it is not their problem. The Dr didn't send it. I then call clinic to verify again that it was sent. It was. I then call cub again and this cycle repeats over and over. I suspect someone in cub pharmacy is taking the medication as it seems to disappear every month. I am tired af having my meds go missing. I know someone very well who has worked for your company for over 20 years now, who chose to work for you instead of pursuing a career as an accountant because he really liked what he did at your company. But, I've watched and heard from him that your company has bypassed him on several promotions due to either his ethnicity or his age. Yet, I've known this person to be the hardest working person you have in any store, he doesn't waste time like so many employees, and does his best to promote your products. He's even thought of ways to help the stores he's worked in, sell more products than any other. So, here are my thoughts, if you judge your employees by their color and not their work ethics, you are missing out on your best asset. He's put his heart and soul in your company, and you have failed to recognize, motivate, nor acknowledge that perhaps, he has something so much better to offer your company, and you have failed to do so. I have made many complaints of associates in that store being rude. Watching me or watching me on surveillance cameras. And Bob Johnson who I worked with in that store when it was Rainbow. Works in the dairy department. Mentioned that the Dairy manager. assistant manager Ronnie watch me when I visit with Bob. I caught the Dairy manager watching me behind the doors by the milk July 4th. July 3rd the dairy manager was eavesdropping and listening to my conversation with Bob. And Senior go over and tell them to start tractor on me that I'm talking to Bob. I spend over $300 of groceries and that store a month. And seems that some of the associates are harassing me and that store. Bob also told me somebody associates told him not to talk to me when I come in. Hy-Vee Aldi's lunds treat me much better than what your associates do in the Cub Foods Lagoon Uptown store. I called the corporate and just got the answering machine. And I've seen sent to corporate doesn't care that they lose good customers in any of the Cub food stores. Maybe a lawsuit for harassing me is the answer. And being on the spectrum with autism. I don't appreciate being harassed and the Cub Foods Lagoon avenue store in uptown because I have disabilities and I'm a customer. You seem to not care about customers read more
