Incredible flavor. We had white rice with black beans - and let me say their white rice was absolute perfection. We ordered the pan con bistec y huevo, croquestas de jamon, masitas fritas, tostones rellenos con ropa vieja and empanadas de carne. All had good flavor, however if you have to get ONE thing, make it the masitas fritas. It was the most tender and juicy pork! I also got a cortadito cubano. So my mom thought she was ordering authentic Cuban food as a hope you have a better day gesture and she ordered it over the phone from another state. The value of the food was not great. For two cuban sandwiches, two sides and 4 pasteles it was $70. To start the food, not authentic. Everything was burnt or over cooked. The meat on the sandwiches was salty. The yuca was fried like French fries, not the correct way in a pan with butter. The pastels were over cooked and the guava was a slab from the block of guava. The only saving grace was the cheese. The beans were ok but the rice was over cooked. All in all, I loved the gesture my mom tried to make but it didn't help an already crappy day. Was looking for something shareable to eat, found this location. Cuba Bella cafe is like walking into a little island of yumminess. The beef and queso empanadas were so flavorful and crispy. Was recommended by our sweet waitress to try the Chico Cubano and she was right. It was so much food and delicious. We had enough for lunch tomorrow. Comfortable but not overly casual, CLEAN atmosphere to try a variety of Cuban foods. I drank a beer at the small bar while waiting for my Cuban sandwich to go. Talking about race relations and the need for diversity with these guys was comfortable. This place is in an unassuming shopping center. You could drive by it and miss it. Don't! I was so pleasantly surprised with my meal and service. 3-Star Food: Solid restaurant for Cuban in the middle of North Texas. Having lived in Florida, I've definitely been spoiled, so was super happy to try and be delighted by this local establishment. I had the Puerco Asado - good flavor, tender and juicy. Rice was a little dry and bland but nothing black beans and a little Mojito Cubano couldn't elevate. My husband had the Puerco Frita- looked amazing...we didn't want share our respective plates - needed more seasoning but good overall. My teen got Bistec, and was pretty happy too. Entrees come with plantains or tostones or yucca, white or yellow rice and beans. My other little had the kid's mini Cubano...which wasn't so mini (basically a half sandwich) and fries. Hubs and I joked that we need to grab the kids meal for lunch some time. 4-Star Service: Friendly staff. They will defer to Spanish initially but easily flip to whatever the guest is most comfortable speaking. Definitely give it a try. My fam will be back!! read more

This was the best Cuban food we have had in Dallas! We had been looking for a good Cuban food place for awhile and we finally found it. We had lived in south Florida (both Miami and West Palm Beach), so we have been looking for something like what we used to have. This is the best, and maybe even better than Miami staples like "La Carreta". We had the Masitas Fritas as an appetizer and they were so good! The was nice and soft and the sauce it came in was not too garlicky, but still had great garlic flavor. I had the Cuban sandwich and it was probably one of the better ones I have had. The pork was soft and juicy and you could taste the great flavor of the mustard and Cuban bread. We got it delivered by GrubHub and even though we were about 15 minutes away from the restaurant, it got here hot and fresh. The portions were huge as well, so that was a another pleasant surprise. This place is really worth it if you love Cuban food and we really hope it stays around for a long time as we plan to eat here regularly! read more

We have tried, and love: - Yuca Frita, yuca with their mojito sauce (garlic citrus). - Cubano Sandwich, it is perfect - Pan Con Pollo, grilled chicken sandwich. - Masa de Puerco Frita, my favorite. Crispy pork, comes with this divine rice and black beans. I don't normally care much for rice, I LOVE this rice. And then, there's the flan. Get the flan, you have to get the flan. It is the smoothest, most perfectly set flan I've ever had. The only thing I've ordered that I will not get again is the Pan Con Croquetas. It's their jamon croquets, which are sausage-shaped, lightly breaded and deep fried mashed potato cakes. On bread. No sauce, no veggies. Just carbs on more carbs. The croquets are very nice on their own, I 100% recommend, just don't have them plain on bread. read more

Sitting in the corner of a small strip shopping center, it is almost disguised... I was quite surprised at the upscale ambiance of their small dining room. I was checked on promptly by the staff and seated. I had their Caribbean Cuban sandwich with fries for lunch. The quality and quantity of food was nice. Came in at 1pm on Sunday, they were very busy. It took a while to get our cafe con leche and our food. Over all the food was very good, lots of flavor . The owner did come over and apologize to us and gave us a free tres leches. We will definitely be back to try some of the other items. The Paella looked delicious! My favorite was the oxtail stew , so tender and so much flavor and spice. The arroz con pollo was good but the rice was a bit on the smushy side. Cuban sandwich has lots of spices , the bread was nice and crispy. Definitely try the pastry with gauva and cheese. My daughter loved it. Baked perfectly and the filling was so delicious! read more

I want to give more stars but my experience with service was weird. I asked for HOT water twice and the server never came with it. He acknowledged me saying it TWICE but never came back to our table with it. I didn't think I had to ask a third time for hot water. I wanted to warm my baby's bottle and I couldn't. Was looking for some seafood and sit-down dining for lunch when I was unavoidably detained in the area over lunch hour. This place was it with warm friendly service typical of Cuban restaurants. Interior is decorated with travel art and elements of Cuba with soft music. Clean setting and friendly service. There is even a small performance stage for music Friday and Saturday evenings which will be coming back in the future. Grilled fish was tender and flavorful with several spices and none of which were overwhelming. I definitely want to come back for dinner or lunch when I a back in the area next month. read more

Cuba Bella is a hidden gem - authentic, delicious Cuban food! Our friends introduced us to this spot, and we will be back. We had the Beef Empanadas as an appetizer, then for our entrees I had the Arroz con Pollo (pictured) and my husband had the Ropa Vieja. We also shared a slice of Tres Leches cake for dessert. Oh my goodness!!! We just got back from dinner at this place, and it was absolutely amazing. Not having had good authentic Cuban food in a long time, I was excited to hear that this place recently opened. The food did not disappoint. We started off with an order of the croquetas. My wife and I both said that we could make a meal on those alone, they were so good. With a delicate texture, combined with the citrus garlic dipping sauce, they were wonderful. My wife had not had Cuban food before, and she is sold! She's ready to go back anytime. For dinner we ordered the bistec, the ropa vieja, and the vaca frita. All three were outstanding. It's hard to find a place where the plantains are perfect, but theirs are. We had both the yellow rice and the white rice, but my vote will always be for the yellow. Our meals were delicious, so we had to top them with the mini guava pastries and coffee cubana. Man, I hope this place stays around a long time! read more

We ordered delivery from this place on Sunday and besides the fact that the order was wrong the empanadas were extremely greasy and the sandwich was one of the worst sandwich we have tried from a cuban place.. we ended up ordering delivery again from another restaurant because we throw away the food. Stopped by for dinner and enjoyed grilled chicken with black beans, rice and plantains, along with Café con Leche, flan, guava pastries, a mango shake and tostanos with picadillo. The food was fresh and delicious. The service was great. When back again tonight. Again delicious food with a nice relaxed atmosphere. Visited again. Great service as always.
