I loved this place. Good quality food, a little pricey but could be worse. Service is always pretty good and even when they're busy you get through fast. I went last night wanting my favorite thing and shockingly they didn't have it anymore. I talked to a few other people who have mentioned liking the same thing and we're all wondering why they'd get rid of it. Maybe the sales weren't as good as we think they were but I probably won't be going back as much now because I have no desire. Very gluten friendly with dedicated fryer and gf buns. Wonderful grass fed burgers and fries, neither of which I usually eat, due to Celiacs, (and health reasons), so this was a special treat! Cubby's offers specialty burgers and buffalo fries, which my husband and teenager enjoyed immensely. Personally, I feel cubby's is a little overrated. Lines are long and service is slow. You seem to sacrifice quality and taste for what you gain in price and "vibe". It's a cool kid crowd and for some reason most people overlook the actual quality in favor of a cool crowd. The steak sandwiches are good but there's something about the bacon bits in the sauce that give a strange texture. For the most part I enjoy all the salads and there are decent kid options. Finally got to try Cubby's after anxiously awaiting their opening in Lehi for months. I kept meaning to try the one in Provo but never got the time to make the trip out there. They weren't very busy given that it was their opening day... I hope that isn't a bad omen for them. Overall impressions: the tri-tip steak sandwich I had was pretty good. I got it "bacon bleu" style. Also had the rosemary peppered fries, and some of Cubby's awesome fry sauce. While I've had better tri-tip sandwiches before, this one was still pretty solid. I might've considered giving these guys 5 stars but the service at the counter was awful. The girl ringing people up was SO SLOW. It took her forever to do everything. There was hardly anyone in front of me and it still took forever before it was my turn to place my order at the register. If it had been super busy I could have been more forgiving, but it was pretty dead in there and it still took way longer than it should have. I'll probably be back; I just hope the counter service is better next time. read more

The tri tip salad was pretty good just needed a ton of more stuff (like more tomatoes, feta, anything rather then just there spring lettuce). It was mixed w/the vinaigrette lemon dressing but because I thought it was so bland I needed to mix it up w/ jalapeño ranch (which made it really good). For the price of $8.99 I would think the salad would come w/ a lot more vegetables. The buffalo chicken salad was a definite no go! Just tasted like buffalo sauce which I felt was overly salty (but again I don't like salt). The fries came out as good as they looked on the pictures but unfortunately did not taste as good. This place is busy busy so obviously they are doing something right. I feel like I am a food snob so my taste buds are a lot more pickier then others. The ambiance is great. Quality has gone down a bit from their original store. For example, pre chopped ingredients, dried out buns, etc. compared to the nice big portobellos you used to have. Also the staff, and or store sometimes wreaks of arrogance on how awesome the owners seem to think they are. read more

I really enjoy the wild rice and kale salad & the sweet potato fries. However the last two times i've been here the customer services has been nothing short of lazy and rude. Both times I have come in the past 2 weeks I have had to walk up to the counter and ask for my salad to go because they took 25+ minutes to bring one salad out. The workers are not friendly and not helpful. Also the worker told me to stay away from one side of the restaurant because they were "cleaning the bathroom and it smells really bad". Food is just horrible. How do people give this place any kind of rating or rave about the menu here? The first bratwurst (Schindler) my wife was served was cold in the middle. Health hazard and gross. The 2nd one tasted like the Brat had turned. Couldn't eat it. Fries aren't crispy. Just soggy and sort of warm. Buffalo blue cheese sauce is bad. My tri trip salad was ok. Much, much, much better! I am glad businesses like this one listen to constructive feedback and actually does something with it. These guys listened and have improved since my last visit. They fixed the issue with being able to see the main menu and they organized the ordering line a bit more. Things made more sense and seemed to flow a lot better. This time I tried their Houdini burger and it was FANTASTIC! The burger was juicy and full of flavor with toppings like portabella mushrooms, bacon and a garlic aioli sauce. If you haven't tried it yet, you are totally missing out. I went during the the lunch rush again and it was even more busy then last time and it only took about 10 minutes to get my to-go order which is still not bad. Based off of the extended menu they still look like they are going to add more options like breakfast, and I can't wait since we need a good breakfast place out in this area. After my latest experience there is no question on whether I will revisit. There are plenty of other items on the menu to try out, maybe next time the Dragonslayer? read more

I went there last weekend with my wife. She ordered a hamburger, and I got the tri-tip sandwich. We thought our sandwiches were good, nothing to write home about, but pretty good. They were a bit much on the price. I would think that Moochies would be better for a steak sandwich and Five Guys make a better burger for less money. The real issue with our meal was the fries and the service. The fries didn't seem to be fresh cut, but frozen. That or they were left under the lamp for way too long as they were mushy and tasted exactly like so many other places that just buy frozen pre-cut fries and fry them. The worst part of our experience was that when our server delivered the fries, they were the buffalo sauce and we had ordered the ones with the BBQ sauce on them. We pointed this out to the server and he said he'd take care of it. When he returned, it was obvious to us that he had simply taken the fries back and squirted them with the BBQ sauce. So instead of the fries we had ordered, we got this soggy mess of buffalo wing and BBQ fries. I simply can't believe that the server thought we wouldn't notice. read more

Enjoyed a night out with family walking outside, at Luminara. The 10 adults and 9 kids went to Cubby's for dinner and to warm up. My wife and I were the last to order and noticed the French fries were sitting under the lamp the entire time we were waiting. We asked the young lady taking our order for 2 cups of chicken noodle soup, an order of sweet potato fries and an order of rosemary fries. We asked for fresh French fries and the young lady said ok. The young lady that asked if I would like a receipt to which I replied yes she asked me to indicate on the tablet how I would like my receipt. I indicated I would like a printed receipt at which time she said oh I can't do that. I told her I didn't wish to give her a email address I just wanted a receipt. She said the printer was down and there was nothing she could do, so I just let it go. Strangely, our food was delivered first before any of the other 17 people ahead of us in our group. As pictured - the cups of soup were half full. And the rosemary fries were cold. I brought the rosemary fries and the half a cup of soup to the counter and asked why there was so little in this portion? Another young lady asked the young man who is handling the soup and he replied well that was the last of the soup so I had to make it stretch. The other young lady said she would refund the soup and asked if I knew what my order number was. I told her I didn't get a receipt and I didn't recall what the order number was. She said well there's no way I could give you a refund unless I know what the order number was. I went back to my group and we figured out my order number and I came back to the counter where they refunded my soup. Again with no receipt though! I was given another cup of rosemary fries which were old and not very rosemary tasting and no longer worth my time chasing. The staff definitely needs training in giving better customer service. When interacting with disappointed customers Concern and sincerity would serve far better than carefree, matter of fact, oh well attitude. read more

I like Cubby's, but I rarely eat here because I'm a cheapskate at heart. Even with the option of being able to use Vivint meal tickets, I still head next door to get a "better" deal. I just don't think you get the most bang for your buck here. However, if I feel like splurging a bit and getting a bunch of fries to go with a tri-tip sandwich, then this would be the place for me. I liked my steak salad but I didn't appreciate how high the menu went up on the wall. I could hardly read the menu items. It was so high up I couldn't see that one of the ingredients in my salad was cilantro. As one not born with the cilantro "gene", I taste even a tiny speck of it and my meal is ruined. Be warned: there is A LOT of cilantro in this salad. But once I picked it all out it was delicious. I especially liked the creamy but light and lemony dressing. My husband raved about the Gypsy burger and the rosemary fries were cooked just right, skinny and crispy. I will have to diss the soda fountain machine. My Diet Dr. Pepper just didn't taste right. Sometimes restaurants don't take care of their soda machines and this was one of them. The mix wasn't right. That's always a bummer. Cubby's is a go-to for fast-casual, high-quality-ingredient, made-with-care tasty food. Last time I went I got the beet & goat cheese salad, to which I added tri-tip steak, and (despite not really being a fry person) I got rosemary fries. I ate it so fast, I still remember feeling silly about it. What the person I was talking to must have thought of me! There was some citrus in the salad that was sweet and tasty. The goat cheese was present but not overly pungent. The beets were treated well. The fries--which are thin and well seasoned--stayed tasty, even when they got a little cold. In all, a totally pleasant experience that I would repeat. Cubby's seems like exactly the place I should love--and yet, somehow, it's only four stars for me. Maybe the food needs more acid (e.g., lemon juice? vinegar?)? Maybe the menu needs more spice or intensity or variety? Or something? I can't quite put my finger on it. The acid is a good idea. In my head, it's all just a teeny bit bland. But when faced with the need to eat out, especially if it needs to be fast, Cubby's is at the top of my list. For those who are fans of the Provo Cubby's: going to the Lehi location is well worth your time. Though it's more spacious and everyone-friendly, the place still keeps an industrial, wooden, chalkboard feel to it, enough to let you know it's still Cubby's. I tried the Tatonka sandwich, something that only this Lehi place offers, and absolutely loved it. The sauce is amazing. The Gypsy is also a good, savory burger. They are also expanding the menu here. A kid menu is now up, and they announced a breakfast menu to come soon! From whatever people said about the staff being sloppy, they must have improved their act since then, because I got great service. I was greeted very friendly at the door, and they explained to me the new ordering process very well. read more

Freaking love Cubbies! I have to admit for the price, this place is bomb. Considering other semi-nice burger places, it ranks up there with some of my favorites. The service is incredibly fast. The burgers are juicy (my fave is the Dragonslayer-blue cheese inside the patty!). The decor and seating is modern but comfortable. They were very accommodating in that they allowed our dog on the patio seating. Also not only can you get a great burger, but the salads are too notch. Nah, the Sugar House location is so much better. For one, this Lehi store is filthy. I see dirty napkins and French fries underneath each booth which is distracting and then the design reminds me of a morgue or worse, a freakin' prison. Not enough love and care went into this store which is disappointing, but when in Utah County keep your expectations low. Strictly food, it's very fresh. The lemon garlic dressing wasn't my favorite (strong like a marinade), so I swapped it out for the creamy cilantro dressing which is fantastic over their grilled chicken. I love Cubby's food but this store was far below what I'd call love. read more

It took years of seeing this place all over Utah before my wife finally took me here. It was not at all what I was expecting. There are very few fast food places that their main motto is beef, and they also push organic ingredients, because high quality organic beef is expensive, and not as common. We got the tri-tip steak sandwich and just shared it, along with the buffalo blue cheese fries, and some sweet potato fries. The sandwich was alright, and the beef had some good flavor, but truly was nothing extremely special. Both of the fries were on the above average for fast food style fries. This place has something special going for it, judging by how busy it was. It's vibe and atmosphere were both above average, and it definitely had the hipster vibe with it. People get very excited about food, and its restaurants like this that makes that spark with food continue. Sometimes upscale dining, even when it comes to fast food, has nothing to do with service and quality of food, just how you make someone feel when they leave the restaurant, and in with this, it succeeds. read more

I honestly love everything about this place. Every time I go with family or friends we end up eating everything "family style" bc we just can't decide what to eat! We love it all! My personal favorite is the buffalo blue cheese fries. They just have that yummy hot buffalo sauce that I love and a good creamy yet chunky blue cheese sauce (which I was told by an employee that it was made in house. Bravo cubby's ) all on top of perfectly crunchy/soft French fries! Pair that with a nice big tri-tip steak sandwich and you are set to be in food heaven!! Food is fresh and yummy- they are pretty speedy too and have always gotten my order right (extra well done burger- always ;p). It gets SUPER crowded during the daytime- esp workdays during lunchtime- don't even think about it. :p If only they delivered! :) I prefer to eat outside now that the weather is nicer. Inside is small and busy and ....as busy as they are, the floors are dirty and tables don't get bussed very well (bring your antibac wipes). Overall, we always love the food. I try to branch out and get something new but really, I go back to the Gypsy burger and sweet potato fries. My friend got the maple sweet potato fries on Friday evening and those are frickin' crack! I have been to the one in Provo and was pretty impressed with the service and attitude, and while I like the environment, it's just located in kind of a crap area.. good luck parking... The Thanksgiving point location seemed to be opposite. Big, clean, and efficient to the point it loses personality. The food was really good but a touch pricy. My main love is the Rosemary fries. In Provo they were amazing... Thanksgiving point locale there was just the smallest of hints of a Rosemary aftertaste.. i felt that I just got cheap, very overpriced, regular fries. I like Cubby's, and the food was still good, but I'd steer clear of the Thanksgiving point store. read more

Wow- very surprised at the ratings. I work across the street and have been to this Cubby's 10+ times. I've loved it every time. The most wrong I have experienced was that my bun was slightly drier than normal. I get the Houdini almost every time.. It's hard to stray from one of the best burgers I've had. Wonderful tasting beef, thick bacon, mushrooms, Gouda, arugula, and garlic aioli sauce... Yum. The Houdini doesn't get the same attention as the other meals, but it is the best in my opinion. I've had the Dragon Slayer, Pikey, and other items. None are a 10/10 like the Houdini. To top the whole experience off - I also crave the buffalo bleu cheese fries. The bleu cheese is packed with flavor but not overbearing. It matches well with the buffalo sauce. Use a fork because it gets messy good. read more

I went to Cubby's before heading to Cornbelly's last fall. Their food is locally sourced, and it is amazing quality. My favorite is the Houdini burger, and their mac and cheese is fabulous. While it's not the cheapest, you definitely get your money's worth in unique taste and quality. The only room for improvement is in the speed as they can be pretty slow about getting the food out. The interior of the place is super cool and modern. I love it and will keep going back! read more
