I love the look of this place! The food is pretty good too. I had their buffalo salad and have only good things to say about it EXCEPT the price. This place is expensive! Comparatively. For two people (one sandwich, one salad, and a side of fries, no drinks or anything else) it was $22! That seems like a lot to me for an order-at-the-counter kind of place. Waited 20 minutes for a chicken sandwich and rosemary fries. They gave me regular fries. The food is good but its not twelve bucks and waiting my entire lunch break for it good. Good thing there's like four other burger joints next door for next time. read more

Absolutely worst fast food ever (my personal experience) bad BAD BAD! my food it was horrible (beef deep something sandwich) deep in purse grease something with celery flavor and on top all that it was cold when it got to my table also my fries were cold ugh I hated it! after I took my first bite I went inside with my order and gave it to them and told them that it was horrible! And I walked away... I'm so annoyed right now is not even funny what it's really crazy how all these people have good reviews and the place was full! Having just moved down here from SLC, we thought we would try some local favorites (this restaurant originated in Provo). The good: the veggies were fresh (crunchy lettuce rocks my socks), and I had a pecan whoopie pie that was to die for. My companion's tri tip sandwhich was good (ish). Not exactly Moochie's up in SLC quality sandwich but yummy. The bad: maybe I'm biased, but my favorite black and blue burger is from JCW SO When the guy behind the counter recommended their most popular burger, the "dragon slayer" which had bacon, blue cheese in the meat, arugula and buffalo sauce, I thought it would give that burger a run for it's money but it did not compare at all. Maybe its the fancy arugula on the burger that's off putting, or it could be how you could hardly taste the blue cheese on it. The buffalo blue cheese fries tasted like bottled buffalo sauce sprinkled on sub par, soggy fries with blue cheese on top. Of course I ate it after the long long time we waited for our food. The place was really packed with a plethora of people who didn't watch their kids. Another thing that was annoying is their menu was written on the walls, but if there was anyone tall on line you could not read it. All in all, if I could sum up my experience of this place in three words....I've had better. read more

Stopped by for lunch today. Wow thay are slammed with costomers! The casher was great and recommended a good burger, but way over priced for what you get, not bad just to much for a burger. Killer blue cheese fries went well with a beer. But for what you get would rather go to iggys where I can watch some sports and have a draft with it. read more

I'll give this place a 4 stars because I love the owner. He's a awesome guy who really cares about his costumers and friendly. Honestly though food wise this place is a 3 star. Portions super small for the price, while the food is just okay. Everyone talks about those bleu cheese buffalo fries but I found that I don't really care for them. This type of place is just not for me! But I know a lot of people that love it, so I'd say this is a place you must try for yourself and judge for yourself. read more

Up until tonight Cubby's was my favorite restaurant. I've eaten there at least twice a month for the past two years (there is a second location in Provo). But tonight we called in our order and when my husband came home with my Wild Rice and Kale salad, I was super disappointed. Went for dinner with my wife. First of all, $8 for a burger alone. Sides and drink extra! My wife ordered her burger with no onions and the sweet bbq sauce. When they finally brought the food, we asked which one was the no onion burger. The server said "I have no idea". We looked and both had onions and the buffalo sauce. They took one burger back and brought a "new" one. It was the same burger, but they just plucked off the onion. Spicy sauce still on. I'll never be going back here again! read more

Very disappointing. French fries were a soggy messy. The blue cheese was glorified mayo. I had the Tatonka. It was dry and pretty small for the price. My husband had the tritip. It was small for the price taste was ok. Our daughter had the Mac and cheese which was pretty pathetic for the money. No one was at the door when we came in so we were confused by the whole set up. First time here. When we walked in there were about 10 employees in the diner area eating and hanging out, that's fine however the place was so gross! The tables and floor were disgusting. There were stacks of dirty dishes around the dining area. Total turn off. To boot, it was 6.00 for the burger alone and the sides and drink came separate. 40.00 for two adult meals and a kids meal. All sort of similar to Smashburger next door: a step up for burgers and fries. Stopped in while driving through Salt Lake. The reviews convinced me to stop and it was a mistake. Keep driving! Lunch for 3 cost $45, which wouldn't be too bad if we had gotten all the food we paid for and didn't leave still hungry. Everyone makes mistakes so we weren't too upset when we didn't get all of our food, but when we brought it to their attention, no one cared, they never offered to even fix their mistake. So I've been to Cubby's a few times.. I find it to be an alright place.. Nothing amazing though. I have tried the French Dip and burger on different trips. Both of them were again okay, but nothing amazing in the flavor dept. Their rosemary fries are pretty tasty.. and they do have some very unique menu items like their grilled cheese on cranberry bread, but nothing that makes me crave this place. It's worth trying, but don't get mad at me if you feel the same. : ) read more

Cubbys is my favorite place to go out to eat. Their ingredients are the best quality. Cubby's prides themselves in the freshness of their produce, chicken and beef. Each time I go I get something new. I am never disappointed. One of my new favorites are the buffalo fries I can't go in now without ordering a side they are to die for! Service is very efficient I have no complaints with the staff. They always seem to be working very hard behind the glass. I come here often and love the food. But service is so annoying. If it's a 10 minute wait for your order you shouldn't be waiting 20. On a freaking soup and salad. After 25 minutes I asked the front counter about my order and it was sitting there waiting for one of there staff to bring it to my table (which is there process). The mocha loca milkshake is incredible and you can't go wrong with a dragon Slayer. Food always awesome. Buffalo blue cheese fries are my fav. Hucka whatever shake yum. But man clean the dang floors and everything. Feeling my feet stick to floor from moment I walked in was not good. And then sat down to sticky table. Today I was a bit grossed out. And the bathrooms....disgusting beyond disgusting. Watched at least 6 employees use in last 30 minutes. You'd think they'd see a need for cleaning. It's not always like this so hopefully someone actually reads this that works there and takes some action. read more

The food was okay for the price. It was a fast food restaurant style, but my group was mixed on the food taste. I got the street tacos and liked them. My husband ordered a double burger and received a single. My daughter (who ordered first) got a trex kids meal and it apparently didn't make it on the order, even though the guy taking our order confirmed that dish. We ordered apple juices for the kids meals and were told they would come out with the food, but they didn't. I don't mind when a restaurant forgets something and we have to ask, but I felt like we had to remind them of half our order. They all seemed confused and unsure of what was going on. I'm a long time fan of Cubbys. My family have eaten there nearly 100 times. They recently began serving breakfast and it's insanely good. The lemon pancakes. The avocado toast. Probably a 3.5 star place. The Gypsy burger was good, but small for the price. The rosemary french fries were nothing special - the place next door has much better rosemary fries. The blueberry shake was good, but was really more of a smoothie than a shake. I really liked the Mac and cheese with the bread crumbs. read more
