The food? Delicious! The prices? Not my favorite. Husband and I went into Cubby's this week, as we had never been. I ordered the Tri-tip California, he ordered the Houdini and we split orders of rosemary fries and mac and cheese. My sandwich was amazing and I would definitely order it again! And the fries?! Amazing! I would LOVE an order of them right this second! The mac and cheese was actually really gross. It was dry and not very cheese-y. We were only able to eat it after putting chipotle fry sauce on it. Speaking of, that stuff is delectable! I want to know where I can buy some! Husband didn't really care for his Houdini, but I tried a bite and thought it was decent. It seemed a little dry, not juicy at all. We will most likely go back, but not very often. We have been loyal customers since this place opened. This night, we placed an online order with a pick up time of 7:15. When we got there to pickup our food, they said they start making it when you arrive, well, that defeats the point Of a pick up time I would say. After waiting 45 minutes, with still no food,even though we had already paid online prior to arriving, we said they should refund our money for the inconvenience, they did and would not give us our food. I love this place. Lately I can't get enough of their wild rice kale chicken salad. Oh my gosh it has so many great flavors and textures. Its absolutely yum. Don't even need the dressing. The avocado takes care of that. So good. Swap out the chicken for steak and equally as good and a nice change. Also love their tri tip steak salad. I've tried to keep giving this place a chance because I've been such a big fan previously, but each experience is worst than the last. This time I went in for a to go order, one tri tip salad, no cherries and extra feta cheese. I waited almost 20 minutes, but I came during their busy dinner hour so that was my own fault. However, when I received my salad it looked like it had been dropped on the floor or something. It was all shook up and not visually appealing at all. I know it's probably not that big of a deal, but I've been eating at Cubbys for 2 years and there's presentation used to be a big deal. So I was pretty upset to have paid $9 for a salad that was shook up but also was not made per my requests, there were still cherries in the salad. I ordered the tri tip steak sandwich with the sweet bbq sauce. It was delicious! My husband ordered the Houdini burger and the mixture of the mushrooms and bacon made the taste of the burger amazing! The kids meals came with a lot of food and my son loved the mac and cheese and asked if we could come here every year on his birthday. This was a great place to stop and eat. I had high hopes for this new find. I was with the wife and daughter who wanted to go to Five Guys to get a burger but I convinced them to go to Cubbys. Upon walking in I was excited. The place was decorated really well. I liked the look and fill for a fast food restaurant. They had sandwiches, burgers, salads and soup. Since I was in the mood for a burger I ordered the Houdini burger. My wife ordered the buffalo wing salad and my daughter the BBQ stake sandwich along with buffalo bleu cheese and sweet potato fries. Here is how I would rate them: Appearance - 4 Burger - 2 stars: the bun was good but made the burger really dry and as far as I could tell the burger only had mayonnaise on it. So overall the burger was dry and lacking flavor. Stake sandwich - 3.5 to 4: it had bacon and caramelized onions on them. The reason why I'm throwing a 4 on this is because I'd probably buy it again but it's hard to mess up a BBQ sandwich with good BBQ sauce so nothing too exciting here. Salad - 3: good salad, nothing too fancy. The buffalo chicken tastes like buffalo chicken. With that said, I really wanted to try the beets and goat cheese salad. Lastly the fries - 3: they were good but nothing that screamed "different" or "awesome." They were at least at par with something you can get at other fast food restaurants. Five young staffers stood staring at each other putting chicken in and out of a bowl multiple times in an attempt to pull together the Kale Wild Rice salad. Each looked at the other asking, "Do you know how to make a salad?" There are several salad options in the menu. With a resounding "no," they never asked the 3 mgrs mtg in the corner of the empty restaurant for help. After 10 min a mgr came to the rescue, only to take 10 more min to get the salad put together. Truly poor execution of a great concept. Stay away until the mgmt team has more time to put customers first and train their team. Staff offered to refund cost, which felt like an unfortunate outcome for everyone. read more

I wish I took a picture. I fell in love with Cubby's in Provo, but have been disappointed several times with the Spanish Fork location. I ordered the Houdini burger. I bit into it and it was a little more pink than I like. I decided to try another bite and had to spit it out. I don't know who's cooking back there, but they do not know how to cook a hamburger. I took it up to the front and showed it to the cashier and she was surprised. "Oh. OH! Yeah, we'll get you another one." It was not pink, it was red. After 5 minutes she comes to my table to let me know they are out of ingredients to go on the Houdini. I'm ususally good to make another choice, but I've had more than a few problems with either service, food or cleanliness at this location. I asked for my money back. If you want to try a good, well-done burger with all the ingredients on it, I suggest the Provo Cubby's. read more

This place has potential as the picture and description of the Houdini burger that I had looked and sounded great but this is honestly the driest burger I have ever eaten outside of a church picnic. If I'm going to pay $7 for a burger it has to be better than this. Maybe their other food is better but I'll never find out because I not going to pay $7-$9 for a sandwich that comes with no sides just to see if I maybe ordered the wrong thing. We stopped at Cubby's during a road trip from Moab to SLC. I had the kale and citrus salad which was fresh and beautifully presented. My kids had the t-Rex meal which they all loved and was actually a very tasty burger. Buffalo fries rounded out our meal and were more than we could finish. First visit, wouldn't go back. I enjoyed my stay there b/c the employees were so friendly, but I can't say I enjoyed my food. Ordered Gypsy Burger, the patty was the most flavorless I've ever had at a burger place. Salt helped a bit. I could hardly taste the slice of gouda cheese (it was a thin 2" circle - a record for smallest slice of cheese on a restaurant sandwich!). They discontinued the caramelized BBQ onions (but didn't tell me), which was why I ordered it. Without that, it was a very unspectacular burger with lettuce & tomato slice. The bacon was a single slice for the whole burger. The tomato slice was as tiny and thin as the cheese. The butter-leaf lettuce was good. The bun was the freshest part, tasted home-made, like a roll. But I don't order a burger for the bun. As for service, the employees were smiley and helpful, but they were 25 min out on orders b/c they got behind cooking tri-tip, and since my hubs had ordered that and they were waiting on it, they made my burger and it sat on the warmer for 10-15 minutes. So my food didn't arrive fresh. As for order accuracy, my burger that was just sitting was missing the onions (which then came out w/out BBQ sauce, and that's when they told me BTW we don't do them that way anymore, so after all that wait, I waited again for them to bring out the BBQ sauce to "fake" the BBQ caramelized onions; but they forgot to bring it out after I asked, so then my food got even more cold til I went up and asked again). Nice employees, but poor management of the orders. By time salad was ready, we had to leave to pick up kids from sitter, opened salad at home. The tri-tip in hubby's salad was tasty, but seemed to be missing the roasted red peppers. Other ingredients were so sparse (dried cherries? nuts) that we could hardly find any in the salad, although at the bottom of the bowl there were traces of pieces, so then we knew they must have put some in there somewhere. Just felt like they are trying to cut corners everywhere possible, and that's not a good feeling to a customer, esp when the burger comes solo (fries are extra) for $8. Cubby's is decent at best. I've eaten here several times. The tri tip sandwich is delicious and so are the sweet potato fries. They are definitely overpriced for what you get though. I can't eat bread anymore so I decided to try the tri tip salad. I can't believe I paid $10 for a bowl of lettuce and about 2 oz of meat. Also, no ranch dressing. Who doesn't have ranch dressing? We LOVE cubby's!!! Top favorites: Buffalo Blue Cheese Fries, Apple Beet Salad and the DragonSlayer. When you go in, you can't really see the menu, but when you get up front they have some paper menus that you can look at. What we have found works best is to look at the menu online beforehand so that we are ready to order when we get there. You order and they give you a cute little cow stick to put on your table and they bring the food to you. If you have children, do NOT Let them play on the chairs. They are really back heavy and if they lean back or stand on them a little too much, the chair will topple and they will fall on the cement floor (I have seen this every single time we have gone) This is a really good place to go if you are Keto, low carb, or have vegan or dietary restrictions. They can pretty much fix anything on the menu to fit your needs, and their lettuce wrapped burgers are fantastic read more
