I dipped in here on a late night Tuesday to warm up and have a good drink. It was one of the few places open after 11pm. I ordered their version of an hot toddy which was called a mullins hot toddy. Great accommodating staff. Owner is very nice, always a nice place to visit since it's nearby.

I used to live right by this place, and I was always received a very hearty welcome here. The owner is super nice and always greets you personally. The atmosphere is very cozy and homey. On some nights, staff and students from the department of medieval studies would come in and play Gaelic tunes on a garklein recorder. The food is good and the beers are nice. Very disappointed with this venue - which I had looked forward to exploring in my new neighbourhood. There are two very prominent signs that say "No Debit or Credit under $20 - Machine at the Front". A Debit transaction costs 25 cents or so and a credit transaction is a fixed percentage whether it is for $5 or $500. This is very unfriendly. (Machine probably costs $3.50 to save landlord a few cents.) The menu is disappointing. There is no fryer - hence baked wings and baked fries. I passed. The service is adequate, but not friendly. No how are you tonight. No welcome to Mullins. No its a lovely day. Just what do you want. What I wanted was to leave, but I had another drink or two to make sure I met the $20 minimum. Comfortable and homey, this Irish Pub has been in the area for years, and serves up a great selection of beers and food. The inside is small but cozy, providing a decent place to watch the game while having some drinks with friends. The outdoor patio is great during the summertime as well! Food-wise, I've had the fries, burgers, and nachos there, and the food quality is good. I've also found that the staff is pretty friendly which helps to create a local neighbourhood-feel to the joint. The owner Ken is usually around as well, which ensures that the quality of the service remains consistently good. The proximity to U of T means that the pub is lively. Full Disclosure: I come here quite a bit for the Wednesday Night Sessions, where we play live (free) Irish music! They have 5 dollar pints of Wellington on special and food deals as well. I've had the food a few times and it seems a bit better quality than average pub-grub. Staff are usually pretty friendly. Only issue is that its a small place and sometimes gets way way too crowded. read more

In an area that is arguably devoid of personality, this is a chill spot to bask in the beery glory of the World Cup with your close friends and indulge in some of the best wings that you'll ever have. Mullins is undoubtedly your neighborhood pub. I was so surprised to see the owner actually hanging out with my friends and I as we watched the dismal UK vs. Algeria match. The staff was warm and helpful, even aiding us in our quest to move the umbrella to the perfect spot in which it would prevent glare as we were watching the game from outside. Definitely a pub filled with regulars and a neighbourhood stronghold. The boy and I came here for eats after a Hot Docs film and it was fairly empty for a Saturday night. It slowly filled as we started consuming our dinner. What wins me over big time is they have a CHILI CHEESE BURGER! I do not think anyone, except my friend I went on vacation with in January, can understand my love of the union of chili and cheese. And thrown on a delicious burger? Taste explosion! And their french fries are really good and crispy, just the way I like. The baseball game was on, burgers and beer consumed, good conversation. All good good good. Sitting here in Mullins on Bay, writing my humble pie review. Ok, so I may have misjudged this place. I had such a craving for nachos and this place is super close to my new apartment. My boyfriend and I ordered pints and went back and forth over the menu. It was pretty quiet when we got in and I've been burnt with bad nachos to many times so I wasn't sure. So we took a chance...and the nachos are amazing! Better than sneaky dees? A little bit! They're oven baked and arrive piping hot, perfectly proportioned with a perfect amount of dip. We ate the whole thing despite being warned that they were big so that was a bit embarrassing. The place filled up in the hour or so we were there and it seems to be popular. We were in town for a road trip and she made suggestions on where to go next on our bar hopping stint. This mullins didn't have many people on a thursday night, but bartender was great. I could take it or leave it. It's just a regular run of the mill pub without anything outstanding. Small, possibly cozy but I think that would be a stretch. It reaks of greasy food and takes just the amount the drink one pint to coat your hair, skin and clothes in the smell to the point that they won't go away until you wash thoroughly. They don't have Leaf's TV. It's not like there are a ton of pub options in the area so it may be getting higher ratings for lack of selection but in my opinion I'd rather make the hike to somewhere with a little more character or vibe and a little less stench. Had lunch here this afternoon to enjoy the weather on the patio. This is probably a good place for a pint or two before you head out somewhere. I had cider and chicken fingers. Their chicken fingers were ok. Nothing to write home about. Also Bay St was pretty noisy and I was there around 2 pm. I may go back just to have a drink again. Lunch on a Friday. Place is empty (a bad sign!?!). Safe order: chicken fingers. Choice of 3, 5 or something else. I order 5 with fries and gravy. Server returns to say fries aren't included so that will be an extra $2. Ok. Food arrives. It is dry, overcooked grocery store frozen fingers and a paltry portion fries (you know, the flour dusted fries and the oven burnt chicken fingers). Chewy. Bad. Bill arrives, $18 and change for my plate and a glass of water. That's when I'm informed that you need to spend over $20 to use their machine or you have to pay cash (but they have an ATM to surcharge you an extra few dollars to withdraw some). NOPE. Better pubs and better lunch options at the same or better price. read more

This is a local pub mixed with U of T students and regulars who live in the hood. Ken the owner is always around to chat our push another beer or two. Many times I would come for one drink and then accidentally get drunk. The nachos are tasty and everything is standard pub food. Three TV's with one stuck on CP24 and a patio pops up in the summer. read more

3 months ago I was visiting my brother and stayed for three nights ,, took my brother to the Jays game after when the game was done we left we got hungry and tried walburgers but of course they were closed soo we came across this place ,, best place to eat at , my brother and I left happy and satisfied :) defantly will be going back the next time I'm in Toronto for sure ,,, I had the poutine and it was very delicious read more

I've spent many an evening at the only Irish Pub in Toronto owned by a Korean. As a regular during my years at St.Mike's College I got to know many of the staff all of whom have been great servers and generally good company. Together with the wide selection of beers and comfort food (the Sheperd's Pie is amazing and the wings are pretty darn good) I keep going back long after graduation. read more

Great pub - cosy, awesome wings, and nice staff. The patio is great in the summer, though they could due with some new chairs. Inside is really cosy and always filled with the same regulars (creepy long, greasy hair guy who drinks guiness, adorable old lady, slighly less-old lady, and blonde wannabe milf smoking lady).
