We went here prior to a show at the Suffolk Theatre. I had chicken Parmesan and it came with a lovely fresh salad and garlic knots for the table. The service was excellent, and the food was plenty full and delicious. This was my first visit and I would go back. It's a bit noisy because of the takeout pizza but the food is so good that people at the tables don't mind. It's worth a visit. read more

Donna and her team made us feel welcomed. We heard that the food was very generous in size. We generally enjoy Italian food, so we ventured here to celebrate Mom's birthday. We noticed every detail of charm in the restaurant. There was a lot of character and beautiful Italian scenery painted on the walls. To start off, we got complimentary bread, garlic knots, and olive oil. Then we ordered the following: 1. Veal Parmigiana with a side of steamed vegetables 2. Veal Marsala with Angel hair pasta with Ceasar salad 3. I ordered from the Pasta Night Menu, which included a soup or salad, pasta, and a dessert. For my starter, I chose the Tortellini in Brodo Soup. My choice of pasta was the Penne Alla Vodka with chicken. For dessert, I got the Rainbow Cookie cake for Mommy. Excellent classic Italian food & generous portions. We tried Veal Parmigiana, the meatballs, Ravioli & a Penne Pasta special with spinach. Cheesecake for desert. Also had an excellent New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc from the wine list that cost $8....so good. Their prices are really reasonable & the food is as good as any Italian food I've had anywhere. Buonissimo! This place came recommended by a local so of course we had to try. It was busy on a Saturday evening; there was a line out of the door of people ordering take out, and most of the restaurant was full. The service was great considering how busy it was, we were well looked after. The chicken saltimbocca was unbelievably delicious. The chicken was so tender and moist, the sauce was thick and creamy, and the pasta was al dente and perfect. I wish we lived closer so I could have tried their pizza, but the entree was so filling I couldn't even finish it with how generous the portion was! read more

This is my 3rd time eating at Cucina 25. I thought that I left a review but I didn't, so here it is. Sean the owner at Cucina 25 is busy behind the counter working the pizza ovens. He always greets you with a big hello. Today we sat ourselves and ordered a half pepperoni pie. The pizza was huge and loaded up with pepperoni, served nice and hot! The sauce was delicious, not spicy and the cheese nice and gooey! My other visits, I ordered take out dinner. Veal Parmigiano with pasta and an eggplant parm. Both dinner were generous portions and delicious. We also got a dozen garlic knots, yummy. We have yet to hit a so so dinner here. Their food is amazing, stop in and say hi to Sean! read more

A group of eight of us had an early dinner here today. The salads were very good. The baked clams, calamari and bruschetta were all very good. The dinners were amazing. Eggplant parmigiana, chicken parmigiana, and every entree were incredible and well portioned. The restaurant is small and I really did not expect the quality to be so high, but it was great. Every time we come into town to visit, Cucina 25 is one of our first stops. The food is consistently good, especially the grandma pie! We dined in this past week on a Tuesday and the service was really slow. I am not sure if they were backed up in the kitchen but other than that the food was delish and the staff is always nice. read more

Came here for lunch. Place was clean and good amount of spacing between tables. Ordered the boneless wings with BBQ sauce, whole wheat penne with grilled chicken, chicken parm pasta. The boneless wings came in a timely manner. The portion was more than I expected and was perfect for sharing between 2 people. The chicken itself was decent. Chicken wasn't dry and the skin was crispy with good amount of sauce. The entrees took a while to come out (about 45 min) when there's only one other table that was eating in. The penne was healthy tasting as expected (it is whole wheat after all) but the chicken parm was good. Overall a decent experience at a decent price. read more

Great food, cool space and friendly staff! I went to the Long Island aquarium and was looking for a late lunch spot nearby, found this place on google that was a 10 minute walk away (or 2-3 minute drive), I was with a bigger group and we first wanted to try jerry and mermaid but they didn't have seats since we didn't call ahead for reservations, so had to look for another option nearby, called this place up and they confirmed they could accommodate a group of 16 so we went and got seated quickly, they set the tables up for us so we can sit close by. This place is down the block from the aquarium and we decided to come here afterwards with the kids and had a great experience . The waitress was very attentive, the food was great and considering we got quite a few appetizers with our meals, it was not expensive. We ended up taking a lot of food home because there was just so much. read more

I don't even know how to rate them ... 3.5 seems right, so do I go 4 stars for the solid flavors, or do l go with 3 because the pizza needed a third ingredient for complexity and a lot less grease, the white bean soup was made with red kidney beans, and the meatballs were in an ounce of this sauce... But that short rib pie could be something really special, I added a balsamic drizzle, even great with some horseradish. We definitely want to explore the menu more, am I right? Dean, who is making the pies and doing the cooking, busy as he is, is one of the friendliest guys you will meet in a Pizza place! He says hello, welcomes you, and makes sure you know something about his offerings. Sure, its a small place and sometimes they are very busy and do not have all the time in the world to chat, but ask any question and Dean is happy to help! Maria is soft-spoken and kind, and the food is always top notch. Service can be slow at the counter, they have been understaffed a few times while I was there, just Dean and Maria. But the food is worth the wait. On another night, eight of us ate in the dining room, which is very attractive, and the food was excellent! We will be going back in a group again - especially after the Cruise Nights at East Wind in Wading River. Pete G.
