I found this place on Apple Maps after searching for pizzerias and decided to give it a try. I normally do not come out to Riverhead and unfortunately had jury duty. The parking lot entrance is convenient to enter on a a somewhat busy road and there is enough ample spaces. The building however is quite small itself. When I entered, I walked into a well-decorated establishment with nostalgic decor and nice loft area with seating. I ordered a regular slice, two garlic knots, and a soda after being helped by a pair of very friendly staff. In total, it cost me about $8.50. The pizza was actually very good. It was perfect, tasteful and had consistency with cheese and sauce. The garlic knots were good but nothing to rave about. The inside was a little dry. Overall, I enjoyed my pizza and will come back for a specialty slice. read more

Never again. I never cared for this place too much growing up and I can't even less for it now. You're better off picking up a frozen pizza at the grocery store.. Very bready pizza, unremarkable sauce. Can't be bothered to throw in a side of marinara sauce with their garlic knots. Their pizza and their heroes are just slopped with a tasteless mozzarella. Meatball hero? Was there any meat in their at all? Consistency tasted of mostly bread crumbs. Great location with outdoor seating on the water. Solid menu. I absolutely loved my eggplant parmigiana slice. It was essentially an entree. I didn't understand and don't make much of an inroad on the following Sicilian slice, which was good but not great. After hunting for quality pizza out east amongst the many seafood restaurants and clam bars, I think I finally found a solid contender at Roadhouse. I placed an order online for a grandma vodka pie, which was ready to be picked up in just 15 minutes. This was extra shocking since this pizzeria was incredibly busy on this particular Sunday afternoon. All the interior tables were taken, plus plenty of outdoor tables on the water were also full. As I entered and looked around at the pizza people were eating I started to wonder if I'd made a mistake coming here, because all the round pie crusts I was seeing looked raw and underdone. In this moment I was incredibly happy I opted for square pizza, and my fears subsided when I opened the box to reveal a perfectly cooked pie. The sauce was flavorful and the sauce to cheese ratio was absolutely on par. I will definitely be back, but I'd recommend a square pie over a round one if you're coming here based on my round pie crust observations. read more

We were driving with a very hungry toddler who was craving pizza for lunch. We saw the parking lot was fairly busy and figured we should stop by and try them for lunch. There were regular pizzas and some fancy and funky ones. We looooved the clams casino slice. It was salty and briny and the crust was crunchy. The grandma slice was heavenly, loved the crust on it too. The shrimp slice was good too. The space was fairly tight and it was pretty full. They have lots of tables outside so you can eat with a view of the Peconic River. Service was friendly and quick and we left satisfied. Great pizza, thin light crispy crust with a nice sauce and a perfect amount of cheese. Hubs tried the stuffed meat pizza ...omg loaded with salami, pepperoni, sausage, ham and mozzarella. I've been to Roadhouse several times winter and summer months. In the summertime, it's super casual and you can order inside and sit outside on benches right along the Peconic. Keep in mind at times roosters frequent the area which can be challenging when eating but what a site. Recently we ordered take out and everyone enjoyed what they got. It pains me to say that this place had some of the worst pizza I've ever tried, easily below even the dollar pizza in Manhattan or chains like Domino's. I've came here twice, first time getting the thick crust and the second time getting the "thin" crust and both times came out a greasy, dripping mess. It literally left greasy imprints on the car seat, kitchen counter, and the table. As for the pizza itself, the cheese just slides around on top and they put so many toppings that those just slide right off the pizza in big globs. They don't have a medium size and a large is a whopping $30 with toppings. The caesar salad had probably an entire cup of parmesan dumped into the lettuce and even after removing half the cheese it was still too salty. We had to throw out the pizza after just having 2 slices and the entire salad as well. Very disappointed and will not be back here. read more

To spend $50 on order and the pie that was supposed to be half pepperoni half mushroom turns out to be 1 slice pepperoni and the mushroom side covering the rest of the pie! Apparently whoever was handling the order before I picked it up must've tilted that pie and all warm cheese slid over to pepperoni side and we ended up with 1 slice pepperoni few slices of a mix and 3 slices of only dough!Very unhappy! Visited Roadhouse Brick Oven Pizza last night and I was mind blown about their pizza selection! First off, let me start off by saying their staff were very kind and helpful when it came to deciding on what I wanted. As I was skimming through the menu, their Grandma Sicilian pie caught my eye. When I say they make your pies from scratch, I am not kidding! I waited about 15 minutes to get my freshly made Sicilian pie. When my pie arrived, the first thing I noticed was THE SIZE! these slices were no joke. Crispy, cheesy, delicious fresh tomatoes as my toppings! Brought me back to Brooklyn! Stopped in here the other day. Was intrigued by the "Brick Oven Pizza" signage. When we entered, we inquired as to the pan pizza that were listed on both the overhead sign and printed menus. We were informed they don't offer those anymore..... so.... We decided to go with slices. We ordered a couple of cheese slices, one pepperoni, and a grandmas slice. The pizza ovens looked like regular pizza ovens with grey bricks lining the bottom. All the pizza slices were semi-cooked. The cheese was slimy and under done (no brown bubbles on top). The grandmas slice was kind of the best offering that day, the bottom was crispy and nicely cooked, but again, the cheese was under done and slimy. I asked that it be reheated. They took my slice, put it back in the oven and the bottom was more cooked, but the cheese on top - nothing, practically room temp. Disappointed. Heard so many good things about Roadhouse. Stopped in for a quick couple of slices in area on lunch break. Took forever to get them. They were nothing special. Average in taste. Place is large and rustic. I liked the dining area. Not sure if they have table service or just order at counter and pick your table. My foot was broken so I opted for table closest to counter where I ordered. I want to go again and give another chance. A friend I was dining with had soup, which looked and smelled really good. I wouldn't even think to order soup at a pizzeria. She's local to area, so she knew what she was doing. Pizza and pasta! Haven't had a bad experience ordering from restaurants in a while, surprised to find a pretty rude person taking our order today. They charge a credit card fee here and expected you to be reading that note written down on the table. They also charge different prices compared to what you see on the menu, I ordered a large 12 piece Buffalo wings and they charged 2x the 6 piece price, when I asked about the difference, the lady said chicken prices went up so they no longer do orders of 12. Not cool and the prices were misleading. It's not much but her attitude was so bad it ruined the experience. The pizza was good, shrimp scampi spaghetti was yummy too. Buffalo wings were fried wings with sauce on the side. Buffalo bites were pretty bad and skippable (they also messed up our order the first time). Outdoor seating was pretty nice but I didn't really enjoy my experience eating from here. One star for the experience 3.5 stars for the food, averaging out to 2 stars. read more

My buddy had heard good things and despite my prior experience, I figured we should try it out and try to move on from our awful food from Spicys down the block. The same thing happened this time as all the others with the exception of friendly service from the pretty girl (Emily I think I heard) behind the counter. She was attentive and helpful. The pizza however... it seems upon walking in the only option was the Chicken bacon ranch slice since it had the ranch and wasn't that 6 day dry looking garbage all the other slices were. This pizza is trash, maybe a fresh pie is something better to write home about? I don't know, I'd only come back to see that cute girl but I'd skip the pizza. Roadhouse has been the go to pizza place for our family for years. I'm sad to say that the last two experiences were very disappointing. We ordered a veggie pie (broccoli, onion, peppers) and a meatball pie that had barely any cheese. We've been going here for a while and the cheese quantity has been halved. We recommend you ask for extra cheese if you want a normal amount. This doesn't seem to be the same for individual slices! I've been a customer the past 6 1/2 years. The pizza is very good. They've upped their minimum delivery to $50, which I understand. In order to reach that, I ordered fried zucchini sticks. The order came, and the zucchini sticks were so limp, they wouldn't even stay on my fork. There were very few of them in relation to the price. Delivery is still a minor problem because their drivers know nothing about accessing gated communities. I will still order from Roadhouse, but will opt for pickup in the future. read more

I had a favorite pizza spot for regular pie (Aegean), I would drive 35 mins to get a pie then reheat it at my house. Ever since they closed, I have been in Pizza Purgatory, the in-between of the pizza world. Today I ordered a regular pie from Roadhouse and it was a direct connect to the Pizza Pearly Gates. Wow , at first glance, I know something was special. The bubbles of doe (I used to call them elbows as a child), the ample amount of cheese, it was the full package even before the taste.
