Amazing service and food we went for a birthday and the service was amazing to help make his day special

Our amazing server did not guide us wrong, he was pretty vocal in when asked between the options I was considering. The mushroom ravioli, black cod special was especially delicious! Their other special are the neopolian pizza which we just ordered a cheese one for the kids. Unfortunately they did not enjoy it. We returned tonight hoping to relive the great experience we had during Restaurant Week, but unfortunately this visit fell short. Our server, Alex, began with a detailed description of the soup--grilled peppers puréed with cream--and assured us it wasn't spicy. It did have noticeable heat, and I ended up finishing my wife's. Alex didn't have any idea, and seemed to be guessing. We ordered the beef tenderloin--medium well for my wife and medium for me. My dish arrived overly underdone, and my wife's was closer to medium rare. I chose to box mine to take home; I would have mentioned it, but my wife preferred not to. A large group of prom-aged guests seated nearby made the atmosphere less comfortable, with frequent loud profanity despite their otherwise polished appearance. It was shocking the words spewed while no one said anything to them. What started as a promising evening ultimately didn't meet expectations and left us ending the night on a disappointing note. read more

Difficult to find parking, but I guess that's par for Cherry Creek area. We really wanted to like this place, coming down from the NW side, but were underwhelmed. The meatball appetizer was delicious, but at $21 for three, it should have been. The chicken Parmesean was decent, but the spaghetti wasn't drained so the sauce was very watery. In all, not bad, but not worth driving to and not worth the money. read more

I highly recommend the peach bread pudding in addition to the vanilla gelato with berries. The truffino pizza was unbelievable! I will definitely be back for that guy and highly recommend to try that. The complimentary focaccia is so mouthwatering, and soft! They were out of a lot of the mocktail suggestions that day. The alcoholic beverages looked amazing, but it was Easter and I don't drink on that day. The patio was perfect for early patio season. read more

My old office used to be in the area so I tried this place some years ago. However it was pretty forgettable. Like many of the restaurants in cherry creek...overpriced and under flavored. The service was at least decent ish. Luke was new, but he was kind and as efficient as can be checking on a friend and quite frequently. The vibe is pretty cafeteria meets casual dining but wannabe fancy. I ordered the dish with shells and cream. Honestly the name of the dish was way too fancy for the flavor. It was literally equivalent to a frozen pasta dinner. I mean the Parmesan is the caking kind - not freshly shaved. Portions are ok. But I think Cucina Colore leave more to be desired. Maybe use more authentic ingredients? read more

I liked this place. I ordered the Conchiglie, don't ask me how to pronounce it - it was delicious though! The service was very friendly and the waiter Alex was attentive and helpful with drink pairings. Next time I visit, I will try and opt for sitting inside or the patio on the other side as the patio area they sat us on 3rd ave felt more like the sidewalk than a true patio. Overall, solid choice for an Italian food spot in my one-time opinion. Hope to be back! read more

Delicious Seafood Pasta I ordered the Spaghettini and it did not disappoint. The scallops and shrimp were perfectly seared, and the spinach and roasted tomato added a lot of yum! Food was amazing! we brought our granddaughter and her boyfriend there for lunch. They are 19 and 20. They thoroughly enjoyed their lunch and Chef Kevin suggested they try the peach bread pudding and cheese cake (they had never had bread pudding). First, they said no because they were so full, but they went for it and I've never seen desert disappear so fast. Amazing! Great food, service and atmosphere! read more

My wife had a craving for Italian food and this was one of three options we found in our area we were staying. Looking online at their menu, I felt like it was the perfect spot as they had almost the exact dish my wife was craving! So after walking here and stepping inside the friendly host sat us down and our servers greeted us. The vibe/atmosphere was modern and leaning towards upscale without trying to be fine-dining/fancy. Unfortunately, one first thing our servers said was that they recently changed the menu....guess what dish was longer offered as we saw?! We will get back to that. We did start out with their focaccia complimentary if asked and it was delicious bread to start our meal! I decided to try their Carne Pizza which was loaded with so much meat toppings that it would flop every time it was picked up. Very tasty pizza though! My wife was disappointed they did not have their shrimp scampi linguine meal anymore so went with a salmon dish and asked for shrimp instead. They obliged and charged $8 for doing so. I understand the up-charge as a dish is being altered but price seemed a little steep. Overall we enjoyed our meals and thought it was worth having. Such a cute little restaurant in the neighborhood. Would be such a fun date spot. We started with the fried calamari and the burrata. The calamari was delicious, the banana peppers was a nice addition. The burrata was also yummy, went well with the tomatoes. Don't forget to get the foccacia too! Nice bistro. Very friendly service, delicious tasting Parma pizza, and a nice modern atmosphere. The best and biggest surprise was the ease with which one could park on the street, although this being the 21st century I had to install an app to do it. Booked a reservation for an anniversary on a Friday night, service was unmatched! Multiple staff greeted us as we walked in the door. Food was great! Server was very knowledgeable about the menu as well as the wine list which was extremely helpful. The atmosphere is much better than other Italian food options in the cherry creek area. Can't say enough good things about the service, any staff we walked past as we were leaving also said their good byes. I was excited to go back to CC after being away from Denver for five years. The food was as I remember it, but what happened to the service?? I cant believe how awkward it was, how rushed it was, really to the point of unpleasantness. Dinner was rushed out while we were still eating first courses, without a note of apology or regret. and then plate clearing our dinners was abrupt and too soon, and they brought the check with our dessert as if saying we cant wait for you to leave. it was so weird. The place was only modestly busy on a thursday night, but nothing unusual for sure... Great date night spot! Located in Cherry Creek. The parking is not necessarily the best as is anywhere in Cherry Creek but luckily being off third Avenue you can find some spots closer to fourth in the neighborhood. This is very low, making it a little bit more intimate. I'm a sucker for beef carpaccio, and they had giant caper berries on their carpaccio, which was...chefs kiss! The pasta was all homemade and tasted just like I remember it from Italy. They do have a very long wait time so I would recommend making a reservation prior to coming. read more

Automatically gave an 20% tip thinking I would get great service In Cherry Creek. Expected quality and should not have to double check my order, Chick-fil-A does better making sure their order is correct. Received the bare minimum instead. She was great with the most hospitality. Management was kind and came to my table. Food was amazing, bread was warm soft, freshly made, everything came out timely warm and tasteful. Great location, upscale restaurant, clean and nice. I was able to sit outside and it was clean, shaded, and still great service. Coffee after dinner was amazing addition and was offered a dessert to go(not pictured) but I got the tiramisu and it was great. 10/10 recommend. Accepts tap to pay. We popped in for an early dinner last Sunday after a nail appointment across the street (the restaurant was pretty quiet) and OMG what a treat from start to finish. Our server Gabby was incredible. Perfectly attentive, super sweet and she had the best recommendations. We started with the focaccia and burrata - the oil that comes with the bread is divine. It was hard not to fill up on that right away. For our mains we ordered the Fettuccine, Campanelle, and the Margherita pizza. The bolognese sauce on the Fettuccine was hearty and tender. The lobster pieces in the Campanelle were delish. And the Margherita pizza exceeded my expectations - the wood fire makes a difference. We ended with a bread pudding. One of the best desserts I've had in a long time. We almost forgot our credit card and Gabby ran outside to rerun it to us - oops! The place was filling up as we were finishing up. We had a lovely spontaneous late lunch/early dinner at Cucina Colore the other day. Hadn't been in several years. From the slightly upscale ambience of the physical surroundings, to the wonderful service of our waiters, it was a very special meal. Spouse loved the Italiano Sandwich. In fact he declared it almost as good as Parisi's Pizza Salad. After a discussion with the waiter, he recommended the Carciofi Salad, and then I added scallops. It was also terrific. Both of us left completely satisfied -- and didn't have to eat a single bite until the next day. So nice to be reminded about this gem of a restaurant, and look forward to our return trip whenever we have the chance! read more

It's been a few years since I have been able to visit Cucina Colore. It was as expected if not better than I remembered it. Restaurant has a modern, elegant type of vibe. Very friendly staff who was welcoming and had a lot of attention to detail. Food was superb. I tried the chef's recommendation Pork Chop with a cherry glaze served with gnocchi and asparagus. It pains me to write this, because we have eaten at Cucina Colore in Cherry Creek dozens of times over the years and have often recommended it and taken people there to introduce them. And I do not like to review a place based on one experience. But... On 05/27/24, we had one of the worst dining experiences we have ever had in Colorado. I will note it was the Memorial Day holiday. We were nicely seated and our waitress showed up. While she was explaining some things on the menu, my wife, Maria, said to her "Oh, we don't eat meat." She replied "Okay" or something along those lines. When it was time to order, Maria asked what was on the salmon sandwich. The server replied "Just what is listed on the menu." Not exactly helpful, but Maria ordered the salmon sandwich and our granddaughter got pasta with marinara and I ordered a salad. The place was not crowded - almost empty, really - but the food took its sweet time to come out. When it did, we asked for some more water as well. As soon as our server walked away, my wife picked up her sandwich and realized it was chicken, not salmon. She waited for the server to return, and when she did (without any water) my wife pointed out the error. Here's where it gets really sketchy. The server replied that she had written down a chicken sandwich and then said "Well, we can't go back in time to check who is right". I said to her that I believed she had written down chicken, but that was incorrect. She argued some more and made no move to take the chicken sandwich until my wife told her point-blank to take it back and bring the correct sandwich. While we had been waiting for our server to return, Maria had picked up a French fry from the plate to eat, and when the server picked up the plate, she told my wife to put the fry back on the plate! We were shocked. After a while the server came back again (the rest of us were almost done with our meals by then) and Maria asked to speak with the manager. The server left and stayed away. Eventually she went inside and told the check-in person to please send out the manager. My granddaughter and I finished our meals and still not sign of the server, the manager, or a salmon sandwich. Finally I went inside and stood by the bar, looking for someone who appeared to be in charge. A very nice young woman quickly came up to me and asked if I needed help and I told her I needed the manager immediately. She went to look and pretty soon the manager walked over. I told her she needed to go outside to the patio and speak with my wife. Maria explained everything and the manager made all the right comments, but she did not look like she cared very much. I realize that is a "read" on my part but it is what it is. When my wife told the manager that we were waiting for her a long time, her reply was that she was standing in the kitchen to bring the food out immediately. Really? It was a good 20 minutes; she had plenty of time to pop out and smooth things over, but she didn't. She offered us a free dessert and Maria said no, thank you. She offered the sandwich and fries to go, and Maria said no, thank you. Only then did the manager offer to comp the sandwich. However, it had already been at least 45 minutes and the rest of us were finished eating. My wife reiterated that she did not want the sandwich, just take it off and please bring the check. After a while longer, the server returned with the salmon sandwich(!) which my wife refused - a second time - and we again asked for the check. At this point the server denied that we told her we were vegetarian and said she had needed that one French fry back "to get your order out faster". WHAT??? She was unrepentant and snarky. Eventually a male server brought the check, and it did have both sandwiches removed. He was the only one to actually offer us a sincere apology and he was extremely nice. We never did get water or iced tea refills. We were so disappointed. Yes, mistakes happen. Heck, we weren't even angry about the incorrect order! Yes, people can have a bad day and I have no idea what is going on in that young lady's life. But to be argumentative and disrespectful to a customer is a non-starter. For a manger to ignore a problem until it is forced upon her, especially when the restaurant is mostly empty, is unacceptable. The place is still nice, with good patio seating. My granddaughter liked her pasta and my salad was fine. The prices, even in the age of inflation, are still reasonable (though they do add a mandatory 4% "gratuity" now). However, sadly, we are done with one of our once-favorite restaurants for a while. read more
