We returned tonight hoping to relive the great experience we had during Restaurant Week, but unfortunately this visit fell short. Our server, Alex, began with a detailed description of the soup--grilled peppers puréed with cream--and assured us it wasn't spicy. It did have noticeable heat, and I ended up finishing my wife's. Alex didn't have any idea, and seemed to be guessing. We ordered the beef tenderloin--medium well for my wife and medium for me. My dish arrived overly underdone, and my wife's was closer to medium rare. I chose to box mine to take home; I would have mentioned it, but my wife preferred not to. A large group of prom-aged guests seated nearby made the atmosphere less comfortable, with frequent loud profanity despite their otherwise polished appearance. It was shocking the words spewed while no one said anything to them. My old office used to be in the area so I tried this place some years ago. However it was pretty forgettable. Like many of the restaurants in cherry creek...overpriced and under flavored. The service was at least decent ish. Luke was new, but he was kind and as efficient as can be checking on a friend and quite frequently. The vibe is pretty cafeteria meets casual dining but wannabe fancy. I ordered the dish with shells and cream. Honestly the name of the dish was way too fancy for the flavor. It was literally equivalent to a frozen pasta dinner. I mean the Parmesan is the caking kind - not freshly shaved. Portions are ok. But I think Cucina Colore leave more to be desired. Delicious Seafood Pasta I ordered the Spaghettini and it did not disappoint. The scallops and shrimp were perfectly seared, and the spinach and roasted tomato added a lot of yum! The service was very friendly and the waiter Alex was attentive and helpful with drink pairings. Next time I visit, I will try and opt for sitting inside or the patio on the other side as the patio area they sat us on 3rd ave felt more like the sidewalk than a true patio. My wife had a craving for Italian food and this was one of three options we found in our area we were staying. Looking online at their menu, I felt like it was the perfect spot as they had almost the exact dish my wife was craving! I decided to try their Carne Pizza which was loaded with so much meat toppings that it would flop every time it was picked up. Very tasty pizza though! My wife was disappointed they did not have their shrimp scampi linguine meal anymore so went with a salmon dish and asked for shrimp instead. They obliged and charged $8 for doing so. I understand the up-charge as a dish is being altered but price seemed a little steep. Overall we enjoyed our meals and thought it was worth having. Such a cute little restaurant in the neighborhood. Would be such a fun date spot. We started with the fried calamari and the burrata. The calamari was delicious, the banana peppers was a nice addition. The burrata was also yummy, went well with the tomatoes. Don't forget to get the foccacia too! We have been coming here since it opened. Tonight was one of the worst experiences. It started from ordering water with ice in it! The manager took a while to get it. Usually it's just water with no ice. I get the same thing every time. I order the white Sangria with extra fruit because it's been getting less and never had a problem until tonight. One of the managers took my drink order. She acted like it was fine and even repeated it back to me. She had the server bring it out without the extra fruit and said they have only a certain amount of fruit per Sangria. All of a sudden. So we had the manager come back out to say the same thing she told the server but didn't say anything when she took my drink order in the first place! I have never heard so much bs about a drink and the amount of fruit because if they gave me extra fruit it would ruin it for all the other Sangrias ordered. They could however would give me extra fruit if I payed for it. So I got the extra fruit. It wasn't even the same fruit that was in the Sangria! Just random berries not soaked in the Sangria! One drink is $17 and they couldn't give extra fruit. Then we ordered extra bread and didn't know we got charged for it until tonight. I have never seen it on the menu and could swear we have never been charged for extra bread when you eat there only when you take it home. I am disgusted with restaurants charging the amount they do for drinks and food and then charging extra for bread. Next time let someone know before so it's not a surprise instead of asking whose bill it should be added to. I use to really like it here. But tonight the manager and the extra charges ruined it for me. I might not be back and will tell everyone I know. Meanwhile there was hardly anyone there tonight. I wonder why. read more

Happened upon this restaurant at lunch on the 4th of July and coincided with Happy Hour at the bar... what a pleasant surprise! Bartender Miguel recommended the perfect drinks for each of us (we had the Limoncello Spritzer and the Blood Orange Margarita and both were superb). Miguel makes the limoncello in-house and it's downright delicious and perhaps the best we've ever had. Lovely Lilly steered us towards our food options and they were spot on choices. The shrimp cocktail was fresh and good as was the Caesar salad with lemon anchovy dressing. However, Chef Kevin's Polpette (braised beef meatballs with marinara, whipped ricotta and shaved grana) and his Fried Artichokes (with brown butter balsamic and grated parmigiana) are two STAND OUT dishes and both are worthy of returning to the restaurant just to order again (and again, and again, and again)! Miguel, Lilly and Chef Kevin provided excellent customer service as well as excellent food and beverages- it's clear they care about both. We'd like to say a special thank you to all three! The parking is not necessarily the best as is anywhere in Cherry Creek but luckily being off third Avenue you can find some spots closer to fourth in the neighborhood. This is very low, making it a little bit more intimate. I'm a sucker for beef carpaccio, and they had giant caper berries on their carpaccio, which was...chefs kiss! The pasta was all homemade and tasted just like I remember it from Italy. They do have a very long wait time so I would recommend making a reservation prior to coming. read more

We popped in for an early dinner last Sunday after a nail appointment across the street (the restaurant was pretty quiet) and OMG what a treat from start to finish. Our server Gabby was incredible. Perfectly attentive, super sweet and she had the best recommendations. We started with the focaccia and burrata - the oil that comes with the bread is divine. It was hard not to fill up on that right away. For our mains we ordered the Fettuccine, Campanelle, and the Margherita pizza. The bolognese sauce on the Fettuccine was hearty and tender. The lobster pieces in the Campanelle were delish. And the Margherita pizza exceeded my expectations - the wood fire makes a difference. We ended with a bread pudding. One of the best desserts I've had in a long time. We almost forgot our credit card and Gabby ran outside to rerun it to us - oops! The place was filling up as we were finishing up.
