My boyfriend and I ate dinner at Cucina Tagliani before going to a play at the nearby Arizona Broadway Theater. I had been to Cucina Tagliani in the past, but it had been a few years. The restaurant was crowded when we got there. The reason I bumped this review down from 5 stars to 4 stars was there were two other empty dining rooms in the back where they weren't seating anyone. They could have spaced people out for social distancing if they had utilized those two rooms. As it was, we sat pretty close to the other tables. The food and service were fantastic. Our server did a great job at getting drink refills and another basket of garlic bread for our table. I enjoyed my baked spaghetti. It is basically a brick of spaghetti topped with a combination of alfredo and marinara sauces. I had the smaller portion, which was the perfect size for me. My boyfriend had the 12" create-your-own pizza, with thin crust, pepperoni, and artichokes. He took a couple pieces home because he couldn't quite finish the pizza. It was pretty large for a 12" pizza. Cucina Tagliani has a large menu with a lot of variety. They also offer happy hour and reverse happy hour specials most days. We will be back! read more

Came from New Jersey and HAD to go to Tagliani. After 15 years, the tomatofrado sauce was still AMAZING! The service was wonderful, friendly and attentive. Not my cup of tea! The red marinara pasta sauce is very bland. Not a lot of flavor and very mediocre food. Where did Nonna get her recipes! The Minestrone soup had gray colored bacon in it. I absolutely love Guccini Tagliani. I had my baby shower here 13 years ago and the staff and the food was absolutely awesome. I came here for my birthday and I am in love with either the chicken Parmesan or the baked spaghetti especially the baked spaghetti if I could get the recipe for the baked spaghetti bean it is very dense. I'm sure it's many packages of spaghetti, but I would love to know how much Alfredo sauce to put in in there with the spaghetti to get the density like at the restaurant I always order an extra serving of Alfredo and marinara sauce because I never am able to finish it in the restaurant, but I would absolutely love in order recipe of the baked spaghetti pretty please. I have been going to this location for the last 25 years and I absolutely love it. This restaurant is in a little strip mall area right next to a WinCo. I was in the mood for Italian so I figured I'd check it out and it was worth the wait. The garlic bread was crispy on the outside and nice and showing on the inside and lots of garlic flavor in it. Salad was well a salad. When I was really impressed about was the chicken bumpers and I ordered. Nicely soft with some very nicely and then take cooked spaghetti underneath it. Super rough visit tonight. Made a reservation for 10 people early dinner 5 pm. We arrived And we're told they needed to set up for us. Taken to a back room with a long table and sat for 10 minutes before we asked the hostess if we had a server. 5 minutes later a very nice lady named Susan came and apologized saying she just found out she'd be taking care of us. We had 5 adults, 5 kids and a baby. Dinner took WAY to long for as quickly as we ordered-50 minutes later. 2 adults and 2 kids had to take theirs to go due to melt down status and the reason we made a 5 pm reservation was not to be eating at 6:10. Again, our server was thrown under the bus on this one and I'm certain the kitchen was understaffed due to the long wait. No manager was to be seen. We had just recently returned and a Had a nice dinner for 2 but clearly they aren't able to handle groups. The owners response which is not showing let me know they were busy with a party of 42. Although I understand large parties can create challenges her response is unacceptable to me in the sense that her party of 42 was worth it to cast her party of 10 to the side. Leaving the 2 hostesses at the stand also showed us their lack of customer service as neither one of them stopped their conversation to say "Thank you" or "Come again". So worth the drive from Laveen! They have a large patio, with misters AND screens which means even in the middle of our Phoenix summers the patio would be doable (for those brave souls). The only negative comment would be the direction of the table we were sitting at. My only scenery was the back wall; well, and the person sitting opposite. But that's what I get for being late. LOL! But if the direction of the tables were turned 180 degrees, at least I would have been able to look sideways at the restaurant, instead of having to turn my head like The Exorcist to see what's behind me. LOL! Other than that, everything else was exceptional: food, staff, adult beverages. The bread they brought to the table was hot, soft, and was gone very quickly. As for as the cocktails, I definitely preferred the Italian Dream to the Monsoon Madness. Our server was punctual and courteous, and very attentive. She made it a point to come around a few extra times simply to tell us "your drinks are coming" or "your meals will be out shortly". I like being kept in the loop like that. First time eating here with family and we were happily surprised with the great service we had. We have gone to a few places and it seems like service is not up to par yet with everything going on, that was not the case at this location. We had a female server who was being trained and she was wonderful. Most employees were wearing masks, some had gloves on and hand sanitizer was available at front hostess stands. Our food was delicious, good portions and if you check in on Yelp you get a great promo! My only feedback for this location is I feel like there needs to be some upgrades to the women's restroom and some areas of the reaturant just look outdated and old like they need a deep cleaning and some touch up paint, window cleaning, etc. But overall we had a great experience and we were so thankful to have a night out for dinner here. My family was in town to visit family here in Phoenix, and since we all like to get together to go out to eat, it's hard sometimes to accommodate large parties (11+ people). But this place was able to accommodate so we came here. The wait was not very long to be seated, which was good, but after that, everything took forever. The service was mediocre, and I understand we were a large party, but not the first, and not the last. The food was good here but that's it. I ordered the pizza and I guess I set my expectations too high. For the price, it wasn't worth what I paid. I asked my wife about her dish (chicken parm with a side of spaghetti) and she was equally unimpressed. She preferred Olive Garden to this one. Looking around the table, everyone seemed to like their food, but I didn't hear any rave reviews. I didn't hate the place, it wasn't WOW either. There are many factors that go into me giving a 5-star experience, and maybe we just caught this place on a bad night. Very authentic looking, was so looking forward to the food. Daughter could not stop talking about the Italian soda. During this whole review she just kept on asking if I raved about the soda. We had a larger club group that was seated in their private dining area and we had a really nice experience. The wait staff was on top of everything, never rushed us but also did not make us wait for anything. All the food for our group came out hot and at the same time, so nobody had to wait for their meal. This is not a chain restaurant or Michelin Star, it is a family place with good food and a local ambiance. The menu has so many items it was hard to select one, and they are flexible with the sides. If you are looking for a top tier wine list, this is not your place, but they do have a nice selection of mid priced bottles or by the glass to complement the meal. Lettuce from the salad was rotten I ordered and paid $9 for added shrimp and it was missing The broccoli was black on the bottom The dressings were wrong The Alfredo pastas we ordered were disgusting! This place has been in business for years. We were in the area and we were reminded that we had eaten here like 20 years ago but we didn't remember if we liked it. We liked it. Our whole meal was great. Loved the zoodles, just crunchy enough. The eggplant parm was crispy and the marinara sauce has a full body flavor that works. The limoncello martini my hubby got was so good that I ordered one for myself. Really tasty with tons of lemon, and not too sweet and not too vodka-ie. Our server was friendly and attentive. The bathrooms are clean. We tried the chocolate marscapone cake special dessert with fresh strawberries and that was good too. For me, the music level was just right. Dinner to-go We've been going to Cucina Tagliani for a while however this is my first review. On this visit we ordered the half pan sausage lasanga to-go. You always know what you're going to get when visiting Cucina Tagluani, the portions are large, and the entrees are usually very tasty with great pasta and sauces and the service is great. This visit was diffrent then those in the past. I have to be honest I really didn't care for the lasanga, the entree was not very flavorful and somewhat on the brand side. I usually order the baked zita, when I get a half pan to go and it akways delivers on taste. I plan on returning and sticking with the baked zita. read more

After enjoying a morning pool party with the little ones our youngest tells me she doesn't want my cooking for lunch. She insisted on going to the peppermint restaurant! Huh??? The only place we had been out to eat in years was Cucina Taglionis and they did have a basket of peppermint on the way put the door! Papa spent the morning riding and had his corned beef hash and was napping after riding so why not a mommy daughter date? I called ahead to see if Christine was working and she wasn't in yet. I assumed she was the manager. Then she asked off the top of her head if we wanted the same items as last time naming them off including the gluten free noodle request. Haha She hit the nail on the head! This time I got the less expensive Mediterranean Salad and the girls each had a meal of their own. The girls each had a sundae as well. Everything was delish! While we were eating everyone was enjoying their meals commenting on the generous portions. I received the check and there was Christine's name. I was wondering why she was using her name? I asked and it was Christine! Lol I didn't recognize her with her hair down and mask off. She wasn't there when I called so i had no idea. This gal is like having your mom personally cooking for you and making everything just the way you like it. She said she really loves people and has been a waitress over 13 years! Their food really is very good and their servers are very polite and helpful. They have happy hour and lunch specials as well as a lot of deserts. I always get the chocolate marscapone with strawberries. Yes, I know they have more deserts but I really do love this particular desert. Ok enough about deserts. My husband says he will no longer order from here. We do not reach out to managers bc once we are home, we are home. We aren't looking for free meals or to be complainers. The restaurant is a little out dated but not bad.maybe get rid of the old vines and boards on the ceiling. The food. I had the veal and my wife had the shrimp Alfredo. She said the Alfredo sauce was scarce and the shrimp were small and tasteless like they were small cocktail shrimp but she did like the chicken.My veal was ok ( a little chewy for veal) but the marinara sauce was pale and bland. Pleasantly surprised. I have been wanting to try this restaurant for a while. I like certain Italian dishes and they are hard to find. I went today for lunch with a friend and they had Cioppino on the menu and that is what I ordered. My friend is gluten free and they have gluten free pasta. She had Gluten free pasta and pesto. I have to say the Cioppino was delicious and she loved her pasta. For desert I had the cheesecake. This is not what I expected. It was just delicious, not too sweet, strawberries with a sauce on top. This place is amazing! We went as a large group for my Moms birthday and they accommodated our party with a reservation into their side party room. It was a little stuffy in there (most of the time I need a sweater but you won't need one here) but the food was too good to even really care. We had the "surf and turf" deal. Newyork strip with lobster tail, Brussel sprouts and fettuccini, although I substituted the fettuccini with extra Brussels. This deal also comes with soup or salad. I chose the strawberry goat cheese salad for an upcharge. The salad was super fresh and delicious!! Service was speedy, as was getting 20 meals out it was no time at all.
