Bought 4 tacos de tripas, got really old re-heated tripas!! Also bought a taco of chicharon con carne it was just as bad!! $30 for 5 TRASH tacos, how are y'all even in bussiness??? I guess since it was a to-go order, customers won't realize what they get until they're gone! I do not recommend, and I had such high hopes! Nasty AF! They did not seem to have what I was looking for (meat to have sliced to make jerky). I mean they could have but no one was really around to help. No one at the meat counter at the meat market. However their Carnitas Tacos were fantastic. Sitting in red sauce (green if you prefer). Just a bit of heat. Yummy and great price. read more

So much variety of fresh meat for amazing prices! I purchase raw meats for my dog who is on a vet approved raw diet, and I feel good being able to support a local supermarket while still saving money. The butchers and staff are very friendly and helpful - I feel very comfortable asking questions and the counter itself is very clean. They package your meats in plastic, then wrapped in butcher paper so it feels like premium service. I will be a regular here from now on! :) read more

I really like coming to this Culebra meat market. I have been to a lot of Culebra meat markets and this one really stands out. Not a lot of them have nice fresh meat, look clean, or have a lot to choose from but here they do. I especially love coming on a Sunday morning to get some Barbacoa and big red with some tamales and homemade tortillas. They have a nice Barbacoa special that includes some beans, hot sauce, a soda, and tortilla's. I would recommend giving it a try. It is delicious. Here they also have some good sweets, an area where you can order some fresh tacos and see them cooking them as well which I like. They also have some Mexican candy, vegetables, and a little cookware. The service is always good and the wait is never too long. Great job Culebra Meat Market! read more

It's a good place to get your meats but when it gets busy just expect to only have one cashier line open. Went in got 2 sirloin steaks for $18 but had about 5 people ahead of me with only one cashier. read more

So much fresh meat! I've been to only one Culebra Meat Market (on Tezel near Culebra) when we lived in San Antonio and it was small and the meat didn't look too appealing so I never thought to go back to that location or any other location. Today I decided to give this location a try and I'm glad I did. I was in fresh meat heaven. The meat area was very clean... the store was very clean. I will be coming here weekly shopping for meat for our dinner instead of going to the other popular major grocery stores. I'd definitely recommend this location to anyone looking for a huge variety of fresh meat. read more

I just went there 30 min ago and they sold me some stinky rancid meat!!! A pound of marinated bf fajitas. Put them on the grill at 350 degrees and when I pulled them off they still stunk like rancid meat!!!! read more

This place is a little gem! My brother-in-law brought me by here to have some lunch tacos, I wasnt really in the mood but decided to try it anyway. As we were walking up to the door there were some people BBQ-ing outside, and the smell alone was starting to make me crave some good ol' back yard cooking mexican food. We walk in the store and I notice Tecate Girls...never seen them out that early and in a store too, I thought, this place has to be good! :) We get to the food counter and I ordered a tripa taco and a al pastor taco. We get our drinks and sit at the round table, they cook in a little island iright in front of you and they had a lady making tortillas there too. I got my tripa taco and opened it up, it was filled with a mixture of crispy and tender tripe, Perfect. I added a little cebolla and cilantro and it was on par with some of the best I've had. Next, was the Al Pastor taco, which for those that dont know is little chunks of spiced pork. This taco was pretty good too, not near as good as the tripa taco but it was tasty. I shouldnt have written this, now I'm craving a tripa taco! Anyhow, this is a perfect little hole-in-the wall place to eat some tacos! read more

Now I do most of my shopping at HEB but when I'm looking for Mexican groceries or Mexican chips I go to Culebra. Their Barbacoa is pretty good as well as their tripas and tamales. The flour tortillas are good but they are small but then again I'm from El Paso and we don't have breakfast tacos..we have breakfast burritos and our flour tortillas are bigger. Either way Culebra is still very good and I highly recommend it for any Mexican needs. read more

I usually get fresh bakery goods, only after 9 am., but today the bakery goods were at least a day old, stale and very cold and it was already 9:30 am. I commented to one of the bakers and was given a lame excuse. Me and my wife had to throw a couple of pan dulce away, they were so bad. We're hoping this was a one time issue but one more time like this and we're out of there. read more

Good fresh meat love the chorizo,pork, and the steak. Than you have the grocery area which has a pretty nice selection of food and etc. Don't even get me started on there little restaurant in the middle of the store they have good tacos and sauce.
