I had been purchasing their Polish sausage in H-E-B and Costco. Then they came out with their bacon. I found that at H-E-B, but they were always out of stock. Then, when I was in a local Sam's, I found them doing sampling. The guy doing the sampling told me I could always buy direct from the company and told me where it was located inSan Antonio. I bookmarked this place and decided to try it out the next time I was in town. It's not easy to find, but it sure is worth the effort. The folks working there are so nice. They explained everything and walked me to the cooler. I was so excited that I bought the Polish sausage, pepper bacon, and some breakfast sausage. So how was their product? The pepper bacon is so good that you will know you have never really had bacon before! The Polish sausage is the best I've ever had. Bought the Smoked Beef Sausage Links from Costco. usually, you can't go wrong with stuff from Costco, but at $8.99/lb, it had better be good, right? Well, let me tell you, I've had better sausage at Rudy's BBQ. The flavor was fine, but the casing was VERY tough and I found it stringy throughout, which made it very difficult/unsatisfying to eat. The package says they'll refund my money if I didn't like it, but I don't have the time to follow through on that. read more

I've had a craving for a BLT lately. The tendency is to DIY as often as possible, so I dropped by the local grocer and asked for the best bacon. He asked whether I had anything in particular in mind. I said "kosher if possible." He did a double take and then we both grinned. He showed me this dry rubbed, heavily peppered culinary gift from San Antone. Of course, being a homesick native I rose to the occasion and grabbed the 1.25 Lb pack without hesitation. I have to say it's the best bacon I've had in a long time. The Kiolbassa story on the wrapper says there's a secret spice recipe. And one Kiolbassa goal is to make bacon that doesn't shrink much. It's delicious! The pepper spice has a nice bite. And sure enough, it don't shrink much, podnuh! I made the best BLT ever. My only regret is not taking a picture of it. But, there's a lot of tasty bacon left. So stay tuned! read more

I just love Kiolbassa after all their name means Sausage!! Seriously, they make the best sausage around. My favorites are the beef and the beef sausage with jalapeno. You can buy them at HEB and other stores but the best way is to go down to the factory and pick some up. You can call in your order and they will have it ready for you when you arrive. Fantastic customer service whether you are a commercial client or an individual. I just love stepping into the plant and the wonderful smell of smoke and meats come together to remind you that you are picking up some of San Antonio's best smoked meats. read more

I love kilobassa sausage . My oldest son can not eat anything but kilobassa sausage when we BBQ. Anything else hurts his stomach and he throws up. So I know that they have natural ingredients and don't use what other store bought products have. I also love their customer service at the kilobassa meat factory. My husband was in an accident a year ago and we needed to do a fundraiser for him and knowing my oldest son couldn't eat anything but kilobassa, I order directly from the factory to order maybe a box or 2 and I believe I ended up getting 6 boxes because they were so reasonable. My thanks goes out to kilobassa for helping my husband's family raise money for his bed and scooter. With such great sausage people were lined up and ready to buy plenty. We made plates and even had extra for people who wanted some and made sausage wraps as well. So they had their choice and wow everything sold! Thanks again so much for such great sausage. Yes, thier sausage is amazing and their bacon is absolutely the best in the business! But have you tried thier chorizo? OMG! I grew up on chorizo and this is simply the best I've had. tried them for the first time, fantastic! great, super flavor, rich, spicy, tastes natural. just great stuff and I have tried a lot of different ones even from local butchers who claim to make great sausage. not even close these are really good. Also, to Bbq B. what a dope, the stupid casing doesn't count. the casing has no flavor, it's only there for the "snap" and these snap perfectly, who cares what it's made of? This is some delicious sausage. I found it at my local COSTCO. I have had the beef and the jalapeno. Both are wonderful. The meat is great quality with a nice subtle smoke flavor and the jalapeno has just the right amount of heat for me. I don't like it to be too hot and this is perfect. I hope COSTCO continues to carry it because I don't know how I would get it otherwise. I try to keep it on hand at all times. I start getting nervous when my supply gets low. No matter what I cook on the grill my friends always ask me to cook some of these sausages. read more

I never tire of Kiolbassa sausage. I just wrap in a paper towel and put it in the microwave for 2 minutes. I've been doing this for years, and I always have supplies in my freezer. It goes great for breakfast, and with pinto beans and cabbage. In fact, I could live my entire life with this sausage as my only meat dish. read more
