This is how it went.... Walked in was not greeted for at least 5 min, but seemed more like 5 months, Despite it being empty. Was seated, sat in a booth for another 15 min before being asked anything at all. Finally got a coke, waiting another 25 min before taking my order, got my food 30 min later and all I ordered was a Tostada with shrimp.by the time my food got to the table I had a watered down coke that taste like syrup water. Total time before I actually ate was one hour and 15 min. Staff was careless, and most of the time hiding out in the back near kitchen. Never going back. You want the most dry up ala roca camarones look no further than this place all the food was taste less dry I've gone to the one in Ontario and the other location honestly I love this restaurant, but going to this specific location was traumatizing I will not be returning all the food was dry. I can't stress that enough. Please save your money and don't go to this location. Finally went to the Culichi Town in LA and the vibes were different from the one in Camarillo. Music and entertainment were super lively, giving that energetic feeling in the environment! Por favor , lower the volume on the music! I appreciate live banda music and all the Peso Pluma covers were great , but can you please LOWER the speaker volumes to a comfortable level. You literally have to yell your order at the waitress , or just point to the menu cuz the music is so loud. Maybe later at night the volume could rise , but it's only 1:26 PM and our ears were bleeding. Impossible to have conversation with anyone at your table unless you know sign language. Such a disappointment! We got there at 7pm on a Tuesday night and not a soul was here! The waitress had a serious face , no warmess to welcome us , nothing to tell us about any specials - absolutely no personality at all , the whole time ! I've been to several culichi town establishments from the bell location to phoenix and finally tried the sylmar location and was beyond disappointed.worst part is that it's the closest one to my house Service was terrible the waitress didn't acknowledge us at all .we had to constantly ask for service to anyone walking by we even had to wait about 20 minutes just to pay. The service was terrible as our server would disappear for long periods of time. I had to convince my husband to stay after the server brought our drinks and didn't come back to take our food order. I was shocked when the bill came as I usually look for the recommended tip and tip at least 20%. I love the culichi town restaurants so when I found out a new one had opened up in Sylmar I had to check it out. My visit to the restaurant was awesome and the food was even better. If you like micheladas make sure to get the michelada VIP cause its really good I enjoyed it a lot. I also loved the avocado tostadas if you like guacamole make sure to get this one too. The sushi they sell here is not your traditional sushi and taste a lot different. But thats a good thing because you get to try out a flavor thats different than what you are used to. This restaurant is fairly new. New staff & management. They opened only last year during the pandemic. I first stopped by when they were only offering to go orders; I made a large order and everything was delicious and fresh. Second time I went was on Valentine's Day where they were offering outside dining. The place was absolutely packed they had live music. Our food did take a little long (hot foods arrived on a timely manner however sushi did take long) waitress was amazing she kept tab on us and kept our drinks coming. The ambience of the place is very fun the live band is entertaining and everyone is just having a good time. If you are not into loud music this place is not for you. I have tried camarones culichi & camarones roca. The shrimp empanadas are delish. I walked in to my first visit to culichi town first thing I noticed there wasn't any menu or a book to see but a card to scan to see the menu, on the menu you could see the words and about 6 or 7 items. Only have pictures on, it took 25 mins just to order 2 drinks meanwhile they have loud music you have to repeat yourself a lot of time to order something simple afterwards, onces again it took them another 25 minutes to take my order, I order tostadas that comes with hot Cheetos unfortunately they mess up my order and I had to ask them for my second drink and never received it I don't recommend it especially if it's your first time, you will need a whole day to be here I don't recommend anyone to come, unsatisfied with the food, customer service and the loud music, I expect better service better menu better music unfortunately this place deserve no star:( read more

My bf and I were visiting the area nearby for the day, so we decided to try something different. DISAPPOINTED. Went here from a suggestion of someone that said this place was real good. Pictures online "looked good", but our mistake was we didn't check Yelp 1st. Plus, my bf seafood cocktail was good size serving and tasty. So here's where they lost points. I decided to try their sushi, which is advertised as Mexican sushi and "so good". I should've heeded the first red flags about how much this place actually knows about REAL sushi. EVERY single roll has Philadelphia creme cheese, EVERY SINGLE ROLL. Really? Overkill with the Philly, not much experience with sushi if they all have creme cheese. Anyhow, I decided to go with their Steak Roll. I started from a piece off the edge of the roll, I was shocked, it was FULL OF RICE, topped with the Steak and sauces. The Steak was cold, chewy and charred. It was drowned in their Chipotle sauce, which tasted like straight mayonnaise with food coloring, and their overly sweet eel sauce. The following pieces were not any better. This should have been called the Rice Roll. What an insult to sushi, even to call it sushi is an embarrassment!! Lastly I didn't notice prices before because average sushi ranges from about $7 to maybe $15 on the moderate scale. This roll was priced at $20!!! I don't mind paying $15-$30 for quality sushi at fancy establishments and quality sushi, but this is not one of those establishments!! $20 for a roll of rice??!!! I was hungry, but couldn't even get the appetite to finish because my hunger choked on the Chipotle saucean and died soon after. My diet coke came at a fat $5 too. Overpriced. Rip off. Pretty bad here. Extremely overpriced. Our server literally only remembered 2 out of the 6 things we would order or ask for. Kept having to hunt him down.
