Shit food for a nice looking restaurant. I had the smashburger. One patty was well done and the other was medium rare. My date got the "the pasta we forgot to name", the sauce (there was little to none) had no flavor. and tasted like buttered noodles. Never going back. Food was good. Service was slow for a Tuesday mid-day. First impression with the hostess was poor. We'd been waiting in line with a few other parties. a lady came in asking if they could sit themselves and was told no she'd be right with her. The lady then stood the side of the line to be seated prior to all of us that were waiting instead of getting in line. The hostess rather than having her wait like everyone chose to sit her next. When the restaurant had first opened I was excited to try something new. Of course I waited a couple months for them to get the bugs out, and then I attempted to have dinner there. The service was so bad right off the bat that I walked out. About 6 months later I brought an out of town guest there because we wanted to sit outside and eat... HORRIBLE service. Took 15 minutes to be acknowledged after being seated, and then another 15 to get water. Still not receiving a menu, after asking twice, we walked out. Now I go there again and see that nothing has changed much. The hostess is rude and I overheard the manager tell a table that they could complain all they want to the owners, but it won't do any good because they will side with her. I'm surprised that this place is still open to be honest. I left there feeling sick to my stomach and disappointed that their service hasn't improved since they first opened. Who treats people so disrespectful and continues to stay open? Do better or close so someone else can bring us good food and service. read more

The atmosphere of the restaurant was quite good. Friendly and helpful staff especially with the large group we brought in. The food was good but not great. Appetizers were tasty and there was plenty of them for all of us. I ordered the chicken Vesuvio for $20. The chicken was middle of the road and the outside of it wasn't great. There was a lot of sauce but it seemed a bit watered down so it wasn't super flavorful. The herb roasted potatoes were bland and not super well cooked. I was a bit disappointed that my food wasn't very hot but I give it a pass considering the size of our group. Went on Saturday night originally Hostess said 50 minutes wait with large crowd in lobby but it was a couple large parties, we were able to be seated in 20 minutes. They have an extensive beer selection that's not on the drink menu so you need to understand how to use QR code. Found Gumballhead on tap, and a Deshstill Sour dragon fruit mango. Ordered the Naan pull apart cheese bread and Spinach/ Artichoke dip which was the best we have had in a long time very creamy, my wife order the Detroit Pizza , if you like cheese you love it but I'm more a thin crust so it was too close to deep dish for me. I had the Rueben which had in house made corned beef. This place is packed on the weekend so plan accordingly as they don't take reservations. I tried culinary misfits as a carry out meal, so unfortunately I cannot speak much on the service or vibe, however my meal was incredible. I had the short rib grilled cheese and it was amazing. I usually shy away from sandwhiches when eating at restaurants because I feel like they are too small, and never worth the price, however this one changed my mind. Went to dinner at Culinary Misfits on Saturday 01/21/23. Upon arrival there was a hour and half wait as they do not take reservations. It's a new restaurant so wait was expected. Had a few old fashions which were made well but a little pricey at 15.00 each. We then ordered food. We ordered two appetizers steak skewers and Cajun shrimp. $17 each. The appetizer consisted of 4 shrimps and 4 small steak skewer. The appetizers were just ok. On to the main courses . We ordered a Hot Chick Sandwich, Pasta We Forgot to Name, and the Southern Fried Chicken. We all agreed that the dishes were just ok nothing fancy. For desert we got the Dutch Apple Cheesecake. The cheesecake was very good and would definitely get it again. As far as service, our waitress was great no complaints there. It's a nice place on the inside. Overall the food was just ok. There are much better places in the square to eat. A little overpriced for just ok food. read more

The salad was enough for three people. The service was too good. Twice I had to stop the bus workers from taking plates with food still left on the plates. There is not enough sea food on the main entrée menu. Lake perch and walleye would be a great addition. Best bar large screen tv I have seen. All was good. Of course we ordered an appetizer we didn't really need, but was delicious, the fried white cheddar was nice and crispy. Just a thought, but marinara is not the best choice for cheddar. I liked it better dipped my husbands spicy ranch. My sons fish and chips was very good, nice portions. My husbands burger was very good, really large and delicious. I really wish more restaurants offered a low carb bun. Most places offer a gluten free choice, but there are MANY diabetics out there that can not have regular buns or gluten free and honestly what are their options? No bun, how is that good for a burger? There are good buns out there that restaurants could have in their freezers. My Baja salad was good , but the salad dressing was mixed up. Supposed to be a tequila lime dressing and received a pepper jelly. I asked for some spicy ranch before I checked to see what it was supposed to be. Just a mistake with plating. I ordered a 12 dollar drink which most drinks on the cocktail menu were the same price. To my shock when everyone at the table revived their drinks mine was considerably smaller than everyone's. Not even exaggerating it probably took 4 shot glasses to fill my cup. Server was mid and the food was even worse. Wouldn't go back but didn't absolutely HATE it. read more

Food was good but I didn't expect a sports bar vibe, especially given the name. Just felt the hype wasn't worth it.

I hate leaving reviews like this one so I'll keep it short. Party of 5 but only 1 meal at the table was edible. fried chicken was burnt and so greasy, burger was way under cooked and basically cold in the middle, Tuscan turkey sammie was a hamburger bun with grocery store lunch meat. Eek. Steak nachos as an app for the table would have been good but were ice cold. This place also needs to pull the trigger on a theme, identity crisis for sure. 1 star for the server who wasn't super warm but was helpful with questions. Rooting for this place and hoping they sort stuff out soon. read more

2nd time here & it is Hit or miss. Nachos & pizza seem to be consistent. Ordered steak skewers & they were the worst quality meat I have ever seen. They were full of girth & they stretched to get a bite from them. Thought 1st one might have been a fluke, but 2 of us tried them & basically spit it out. Showed the waitress the plate of girth & uneatable steak, she said she would tell a mgr., came out later , never addressed it & we asked what was the response & her answer "He said skirt steak can be fatty. It's actually my least favorite thing one the menu. $19 down the drain for something uneatable & no one cared to even check it out. Last time coming here. I was a little hesitant based on some of the most recent reviews, but we LOVED this place. The ambiance is great, lots of booths, and it's decorated well. We all loved our food and they had a wide variety. The portions were excellent and prices were reasonable. Service was fast, polite, and accurate with our orders. We were excited to try this restaurant because we had heard such good things. It didn't live up to the hype. First of all, I wasn't expecting a high end sports bar. When we ordered drinks, 3 out of 4 of us were told they were out of that drink. This was 5:00 pm on a Saturday night. Our server was great! But the food wasn't. I've had better in other places around the square. I had the Black Cherry BBQ pork tenderloin for $21. The tenderloin and the sauce to dip it in was good. The corn crème brûlée was wonderful. But watery instant mashed potatoes and canned gravy for $21? Overall, not impressed. Doubt we'll be back. read more
