Since I relocated from Georgia, I have noticed that customer service is terrible on the West Coast. I have had water delivered to my home for more than 25 years with Crystal Springs, but when I moved to Seattle, Washington, I seem to be unable to find a reliable water delivery company in Washington. I was supposed to receive my first delivery today from Culligan, but no one showed up, and no call or text message was left informing me that the delivery would be missed. I would not recommend culligan water service to anyone in the Lacey Wa areas. They are overpriced and can not bill correctly. Almost a year ago I agreed to purchase a full water filtration system for my home on a promotion. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The salesperson, after I told him my job keeps me very busy, told me that the privilege program would have me on a scheduled route and that salt would be delivered filled as needed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] He told me that someone would contact me after installation to get it set up. [[HIGHLIGHT]]6 months went by without a single customer service call to check in, email or returned phone call after leaving several messages.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I finally got someone on the phone AFTER 6 MONTHS and they literally knew nothing about my account or what had been installed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They told me the salesperson that had sold to me had left the company for a different job and had not passed my information on.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I've told them to come pick up this equipment and cancel my service and financing deal that will proceed with payments in April but they are refusing to do so. Culligan is most unprofessional company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. When I first opened the account, I told my account manager that the entrance to our building is a little funky and that I needed to give instructions on how to get there. I also told them that we are not there in the daytime, so I need to know when our first delivery would be so that I could make sure to be present. I sent multiple emails and left multiple voicemails with Samantha (our account manager) with no response whatsoever. A few weeks later I get a call from a driver saying "I am here, how do I get in?". I ran over and showed him the ropes, gave him access codes and showed him which room we need delivery in. He assured me that this would all be in my account for the future. The next delivery we did not get our specified amount of water, the delivery was made to the wrong room and no empties were taken away. I emailed our account manager about this and she assured me that she had just put the notes in the system and that from now on, we were good to go. Next delivery, same exact issues and same exact response. Next delivery, same exact issue and because they hadn't picked up the empties or delivered the correct amount, I was out of water. I was told by Samantha that she would contact her boss about this and let me know once she hears back. I waited for a week and emailed in again as I had gotten no response and I was still out of water. She made excuses, talked about a week not being that long to not get a response and promised me that her boss would personally deliver water to us by the following Monday. Monday comes and goes, no water. A few days later I receive a text from her boss asking when and where to deliver water. At this point, I was not even nice about it and told him I had given them this information so many times now that I was done. The water quality is excellent. The problem is customer service. It's understandable that they may miss a delivery during bad weather, however getting them to make-up the delivery is near impossible. They deliver every two weeks if they miss a delivery it unlikely you'll see them again until the regular delivery date. (So you better have extra water on hand.). They say that they will make the delivery, even give you a day but doesn't happen. Just beware. read more

However no one will tell me who Sue's manager is and they refuse to call me back with regards to this. I have had bottled water service with Culligan of Seattle at my home residence (Kent)for just over 5 years, as I am a single person with 1 pet my request was for 3 x 5 gallon water bottles each month no more no less and to keep my pricing under $40 each month. For me I thought this should be easily obtainable from a company that specializes in water delivery. The last 3 years have proven anything but. I have had to contact customer service/ billing a minimum of 6 times each year over number of bottles being left and charged. Because of my work schedule and not being home till after 4pm reaching customer service is a challenge. Each time I called I reiterated the same points: I only want 3 x 5 gallon bottles each month, I was constantly requesting credits. I had some many bottles on hand at one point I requested to be skipped delivery for a month. This scenario continues on and on. Finally last night I received an email with my September bill for August showing charges for $59.00, I called this morning from my office to inquire why, I was told I had 2 deliveries in August which I replied was because they delivered 2 days before the scheduled date so my empties were still on hand and was shorted 1 bottle. I was told the extra delivery was still a extra request and no credit would be given. I then requested to cancel my service and come collect their bottles ( I have 4 x 5 gallon on hand) and dispenser, I was told they don't give credit for full bottles, they are considered food items so I will receive no credit. I have delayed Culligan picking up their equipment till September 23rd in the attempt to use as much of the water I have already paid for as possible. Used this company for over 10 years. The service was okay for about 8 years and in the last couple of years, particularly this past year, service has been terrible. They take customers off routes and change delivery dates without informing them. They also do not have any estimated times of when water will be delivered. They'll give you a date months in advance and then just not show up on the date they say they will. When you call to ask why water had not been delivered, they yell at you as if you are the one who did something wrong. The woman I spoke with Dawn H said they would not deliver to my address if I could not guarantee I would be present at every delivery when they don't even show up on the delivery dates! I switched to a different service and it took just two minutes to switch. I'm still waiting for them to pick up their dispenser. They say they'll come on a certain date but let's see if they even come. They'll probably continue charging a monthly rental fee for when they don't show up to pick it up. After this many years with the same dispenser, I'm sure the dispenser has been paid for many times over. This company really has changed. read more

I have no idea where they find their employees. This is the lowest of the low-my water had a plastic blue top in it-from another bottle- When the cooler stand began to heat-my entire house smelt like it was burning down- I could not find the culprit! Finally, it was so bad- my eyes were burning and my daughter was crying in fear! I could not leave the house-I was certain it would burn down-and we could not stay,... I called the fire dept., They found the plastic top in the cooler- Who would think to look there! Two days later-they send someone to pick it up-who doesn't know why he is here- He wants to put the bottle I remove back up-He argues with me-I have no water- asked him to leave-take the equipment it is now toxic...He left he had not a clue what I was talking about: being clueless. An hour later- there are two police officers at my door- checking MY wellbeing! He called the police! They do not take any responsibility for the toxic water- embarrassing police investigation of my sanity, or answer show any care or kindness..They are evil! " Hey Culligan man"! That was an old ad for Culligan water service from the fifties or sixties. This woman would come running out of her house and scream this at the top of her lungs, apparently the water situation in her house had reached critical and this bastard had just passed right over her. I can understand her dilemma. My business had been a customer of Culligan since we opened in 2005, never having a problem. Well, we ran out of water, got skipped in delivery, and then we had a problem. Seems that our running out of water was not a big deal to the "Lady" (I have many more appropriate words, but will spare you) on the phone at Culligan, who informed me they only deliver to my neighborhood on certain days. Well I had seen the Culligan truck a block away that very morning so I knew that was not true. Our conversation went something like this.... "Um ,yea...hi this is so an so, I am the owner of such and such, yea, we didn't get our water delivery this week" "Oh well let me look up your account" silence "Well it looks like your next delivery is on the 31st" "But it's the 22nd, we won't have water for our customers for 8 days?" "your delivery is not until the 31st" "so I don't get water for eight days? It took you guys a day and a half to come out here when I first signed up, you can't bring me water within a day or two?" "your delivery is not until the 31st", said this obvious master of prose and articulation. "So what is stopping me from calling Sparklets or another competitor?" "Go ahead"!!!!! *really, did she just really fucking say that to me? Why yes she did* "OK come get your equipment, were done" .....and I hang up the phone. I called Crystal, (a local competitor) and the very next day they brought me water,and they give me free cups! Cool! I wouldn't recommend them; overall we received water in a timely fashion when requested, but they have poor customer and billing services. We gave them our card number to take out automatic monthly payments and this never happened. Every time we called to check the card they had on file it was always the correct one but they never would charge it. Then add late fees. When ever we would call the customer service most of the time they were rude and would not listen. And the office that handles the billing is out of Spokane even though they have a location in Tukwila; this made the situation ten times worse. read more

Culligan needs to seriously review their customer service policy. After having been a customer for nearly 3 years without an issue, I've had two water bottles delivered in the last month that were faulty. One I noticed before placing on my dispenser because it damaged the piece of furniture it was on. The other bottle became faulty after placing it on the dispenser. After having worked with clients for two hours, I noticed a TON of water all over my floor. I'm so glad that I caught it before it caused any significant water damage OR even worse, injured one of my paying customers. Instead of offering some type of compensation for the inconvenience both of these situations have cause me in the month, they simply said they would replace the water bottle. In addition, my latest drop off/delivery left me one bottle short of what I needed. I had 3 empty bottles and he only left me 2. After having had such negative experiences in a short time with less than stellar customer service, it's time to consider working with another company. read more

Then I canceled my service b/c it was few and far in between when it was delivered, paid final bill, called multiple times for them to collect the empty bottles, was never refunded my " $10.00 deposit per bottle" now I'm sent to collections!! I am so happy I switched our office water delivery from Crystal Springs to Culligan. After being a CS customer for many years, their customer service went inexplicably downhill recently, and they became impossible to deal with. I gave Culligan a call, and we were set up with a brand new system later that same day. Their billing is consistent, water is always delivered when they say it will be, and the customer service has been very friendly and helpful. I am writing to express my displease with my recent service. The two workers who came out were great, it was the amount I was charged that was outrageous. On 7-22-19 I had my system service and the filters replaced and was charged $298.61. On 10-7-20 I again had my system serviced and the filters changed. This time I was charged 553.72, a 100% increase and I even provided one of the filters this time (Pentair DGD-7525-20). How can they justify a 100% increase in one years time? The same filters were replaced, sans one that I provided. I understand that prices go up, but a 100% increase? I am beyond pissed. read more

Horrible customer service. DO NOT do business with them. The Manager had the "I don't care" attitude and not willing to help to resolve a billing issue due to whatever that miscommunication was. I had my account set for auto-pay for years, but then I got a notification from a collection with a large overdue amount which puzzled me as I didn't receive notifications via email (which they said they sent and I never seen) or phone call (they had the wrong phone number on file). I doubt they made the calls like they claimed as I had to chase after them and calling them more than 4 times just to speak to the manager. The customer rep took my message and said the manager will get back to me asap, days later nothing happened, so called again, the same, called again, the manager was busy will get back you. called again, left a voicemail and FINALLY the manager Sue Sinclair got back to me. However, she wasn't willing to work with me and have the issues resolved even after I said that I want to pay for the amount just not the equipment as I want to continue the service. Apparently she didn't care, all she said was that "sorry, there's nothing that I can do". I DO NOT want their equipment and asked her if she would send someone to pick it up then if she no longer wants my business, all she said was "there's nothing I can do"... um what? that's now how you answer whether you would send someone to pick up the equipment or not. Apparently, they DO NOT care about if you continue a business with them or not. Any good customer service would be willing to find a solution for their customer, yet they don't even make an attempt or find a middle ground somewhere. It's not like I am asking not to pay what I owe, but because there were issues with the auto-payment whatever happened, she didn't even bother to look into it and work with me on the equipment part. All I was asking is how I can pay for the amount I owe without the equipment if I want to continue using the service. She didn't care for a customer relationships at all. This is the first time that I have experienced such cold and uncaring company. Never encountered a customer service that do not understand the meaning of "service". Apparently, there are other customers who have experience their horrible customer service and one of them dealt with the same manager with the same feedback on how horrible their response was. This is an update. It has now been months since my basement was flooded twice ruining all if the flooring and some of the trim in my lower floor. They have still not remedied the situation. I am going to hire outside contractors to remove their equipment as the water quality has also dropped dramatically. Originally it was a huge improvement. Whoa, we actually got a water cooler for our office. If you knew my boss, you'd know that this is huge. Yeah, he's a cheap ass. Made the call on Friday and within 2 hours Bruce, who works out of the Tukwila office was here and had the machine and bottles set up for me. Cheaper than when I called some other places and very helpful. I can't speak on the water deliveries yet since we just signed up and we won't need a ton of water (small office). Tony from Culligan is very professional. I had my water system installed by another installer and he did a horrible job. The first installer could not reinstall my dishwasher and attach it to my counter top. He also had black tubing running across my garage that was not pulled tight and it sagging up and down, and he he had all the piping on top of the ground in my front yard. I called Culligan and they sent Tony out to do a reinstall my whole system. He changed the black tubing with pvp pipe and it look really good.He reinstall my dishwasher and buried the pipes under ground. He did an excellent job and I will high recommend Tony for installation. Now, my water system look like it was installed by a professional. Thank you Tony read more

Just moved to Issaquah and looked at almost every water delivery service available comparing price, service, water quality, costumer service and Culligan is the only one who met everything I wanted. They were on time for the setup of my cooler and answered all my questions. I am so happy with my water cooler and the costumer service was amazing. I would definitely recommend Culligan! read more

It is sad and quite rare for me to write a positive letter like this about a sales staff member. Most sales folks are pushy and not that honest. So, my recent experience in meeting and talking to Mr. Michael Huber of Culligan Water is quite refreshing. Michael was wonderful, professional, extremely knowledgeable, informative and honest with me. He educated me on my current water quality, options and choices which your company provides. After our second meeting (no charge) he informed me that my current water softener unit is working great and this alone saved me around $200.00 on a maintenance visit. In addition, we discussed options concerning pure water systems and I was very impressed with his testing of my current water. Michael tested the filtered water from my Britta and refrigerator filter resulting in the filtered water is not as good as the water from my kitchen sink ......yikes! This water now filters through my existing Culligan hard water softener and results in better water quality, this is great news. Hopefully in the near future Michael will be selling me the Aqua Clear Osmosis system. And I am sure he will be here to assure all goes well.
