The main point: Culture makes good beer. Also good: This small storefront has a polished concrete bar, a few barrels as tables and a few chairs. The interior design has a hip vibe (concrete floor and wall, a wood accent wall and exposed roof beams. The look is very much like the original Solana Beach location (but without a back patio/loading dock) and the Ocean Beach tasting room. The front window opens to let air in from the street. Bar staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the beer. Still baffling: All the Culture locations have a dearth of seating, though this spot seems to have a bit more than the others. read more

I'm SO THRILLED I came across Culture Brewing Co.! As someone with gluten sensitivity I know I can get to enjoy a glass risk free and also tastes great! Very dog friendly and chill. A great place to hang with friends or family. read more

Joined some friends here after the Farmers Market. The outdoor back space was fun with dogs and kids aplenty! Stop by and make it a party. The beer is good but no stout on the menu. read more

Great location. The beer is some of the best in the area. They offer five IPA's, from a session to a black. Good stuff.

Unfortunately they give you no more than a 3 minute notice before they take your beer at the 'soft close' end of the night. Doesn't matter if you ordered it 2 minutes before, they still take it. Highly doubt we will be back. There are too many other places with craft beer in Encinitas to have someone throw out a half drank deer with less than a 3 minute notice. The only reason this place gets 2 stars is because we have enjoyed our experience every time we visit the Solana Beach location. Hopefully this newer location can get it together. read more

First off sitting at the bar was a blast. Service was excellent. The beer selection is fantastic, anything and everything you could want. Enjoyed my choices. And the spinach artichoke dip was great. They even gave us more chips when we ran out but still had dip left! So nice. Would return if in the area and definitely recommend. read more

Just went for our first and last beer here. Have been to the space in Solana Beach and had fun. Thought we'd try it out. I understand that you close at 10 but stacking chairs around people you.just served a beer is plain rude. Moving tables and chairs and hovering while people still have half a beer left (that they got 10 minutes previous ) is just gross. We spent 20 minutes in here. As I was putting on my coat the rude bouncer was taking the chair my coat was on to stack. Thanks but no thanks. read more

My friends and I are from out of town and wanted to explore different breweries. The two beertenders tonight treated us like we did not belong and had no experience or knowledge of craft beer, when in reality we have been involved in the craft beer world for many years. They were very rude and we will not return nor recommend to anyone again. read more

I'm writing this review, giving it a low star(zero star if I could) and I've never even been a customer at this place. I was having dinner for my birthday two stores down at Bier Garden when I decided to come out the restaurant and have a cigarette. Half way through, this shaggy looking guy comes out the this place (culture brewing co) down the sidewalk screaming at me to put my cigarette out. He seemed like one of the workers there. Now mind you, I'm nowhere near his bar, I'm standing right in front of Bier Garden, which is again two stores away, on the side walk enjoying my cigarette. So after I got yelled at for no reason I put my cigarette out. A minute later he pops out again walking towards me, screaming at me for smoking after I had put my cigarette out. I told him three times that I put my cigarette out (even tho I didn't have to, I'm out on the sidewalk away from his bar in front of another restaurant that I was having dinner at) and he continued yelling and harassing me. I'm beyond baffled of how a human being can act this way instead of politely asking someone to move further away. Shame on that guy and shame on this company that hires people like that. I guess these people are just bored and randomly attack people on the street cause they have no business on a Friday night. Sad. And thanks for ruining my birthday you shaggy looking asshole. read more

Checked this place out on a Friday night and really loved its vibes! The beer was excellent. I suggest the mosaic! Perfection! The staff was super friendly and cheerful. I really enjoyed the outside open area with seating and brewery games. And the food truck KILLED it with the vegan tacos and awesome dumplings. Can't wait to come back in! read more

I came in today for a quick drink then I realised I needed a few sliced of pizza to go with my beers ,well I ran next door and realised food was allowed inside culture brewery I love the fact you can bring pets,children&food and anything to make you feel comfortable and enjoy the best flavored beers. My server today was very helpful and was patient while I took a decision on my beer she offered samples and even tho I was one of those complicated customers she was very helpful and nice never was I given a bad glance she's awesome her name is Selena and as well as Cameron hes awesome always has the positive vibe and recommends the best beers according to what I'm searching for thank you to the staff because working and dealing with intoxicated customers could be a bit difficult but the have it all under control and know when to and not to serve I'm very happy to have a culture In Encinitas I recommend all my friends and family here I will never change brewery as long as the friendly employees remain I love culture and I will be and Continue to be one loyal customer shout out to the owner and to all the staff for their great work and hard effort because without you guys this wouldn't happen continue the great work positive vibe and upselling tips .. Been to this establishment several times now. Went to Culture in Encinitas last night. They close at 9pm, but earlier if it's slow or so the two girls working there told us. At 8pm the tall blonde walked over to our table, it was me and a mate of mine, to tell us they're closing in 5 mins. I had a full beer on the table. I assumed she was referring to the bill. I stated I had closed out. But she repeated they're closing in 5 mins. No one else was in the bar other than us. I asked her if she expected me to down my full beer in 5 mins? She didn't respond and with zero customer service or empathy walked away. Ten minutes later 2 boys walked in, sat at the bar, obviously friends of theirs and ordered 2 beers. Three minutes after that other patrons not friends of the two girls tried to enter and were turned away. Lucky for us 2 of their friends walked in so I could finish my beer in peace with an hour left on the clock until closing. The lack of customer service and just plain good manners, and/or the lack of training Culture management gives their employees just made them lose a local. The Beer Garden down the street has a wider selection of beer and is always gracious and friendly. In a hyper-competitive market, customer loyalty and retention is key not to mention WOM and brand ambassadors. read more
