Closest barber to home, when the barber shops opened after months I was able to get in with Nestor. There was a conflict in scheduling and I was on the books before opening. Nestor came through and he did an AMAZING JOB on my son's hair! It's hard to find a barber that will take time on a boy's haircut. -Not a haircut review- I can't speak on the quality of their haircuts cause they didn't even take me in. I had called to make an appointment and texted to verify. I show up to the place and the single barber didn't have a clue of my appointment. From other reviews it doesn't seem like I'm the only customer who's experienced this. It's unfortunate for a shop and business to not take new customers and their time seriously. Seeing that this is a repetitive issue you'd hope that they'd get better at logging appointments and avoid losing new business. I clearly stated I had just moved to the area and I could've easily became a recurrent customer given the apparent quality of their work. Really sucks that the quality and reputation of a business can be so harshly impacted by a simple task of booking appointments done so wrong. Free advice to the business, if they ever read this (don't know if they care about their customer's opinions). Get an online booking system! They're either free or at a low cost for premium versions. And just take your customers seriously, they pay for your business to run. read more

Needed a serious haircut, beard trim in this area where I am currently assigned so I yelped it and found this place. I made an appointment on line and drive over. They had a small but serviceable parking lot. The shop itself looks small but everyone appears to be busy and their customers looked pleased. I met Matt with whom I made the appointment. He clarified what exactly I wanted and proceeded to do that. In the end I got a really decent haircut, a nice hot towel shave, and an expert beard trim, all for $35. I am very picky when it comes to my hair. I often have bad luck with barbers. They always mess it up and don't do what I ask (leave hairs sticking up and line me up like crap with a bs fade). That was not the case over at Culture Cutz. I came in for a haircut at 4PM. First of all, the shop is very well kept, tucked away in the corner of a tiny business center. It has a chill "make yourself at home" type vibe. Really cool little spot. Jose is a super chill cat that takes pride in his work and he enjoys it. You can really tell. This spot is solid, you walk in the door and it's full of people on a Wednesday evening. Booking was easy, prices are great and the attitude around the barbers really gives it a feeling of a quality job - it's not a fancy, overpolished, hipster salon, it's where real work happens. I got my hair cut by Lulu and she was the best, she was extremely nice, really friendly and helpful, and was really great with somebody who was trying to work out what he wanted between a few pictures saved on his phone. She gave me a fade and a clean line better than I could have asked for, and she really focused on the details and made sure there wasn't any stray hairs randomly, going over it a few times to make sure. I got a hot towel shave to tie it all together and it felt honestly amazing afterwards, probably the closest and cleanest shave I've had in my life. Tried it out, was looking forward to new age barber shop. Arrived upon opening the place was not well kept up I could tell right off the go. I went dropped in wait was not to bad, although I should have waited for the main guy in the front because the guy that did my hair looked like he just got out of bed and went to work. Hair cut was not bad but nothing worth talking about for 40$ wasn't worth it to me. A couple tips for this place, It has potential pick up the place, clean the rest room or at least make sure the toilet is flushed.
