I've been coming irregularly since opening week and even during down times, it hasn't really picked up in speed or accuracy unfortunately. Don't get me wrong, Culver's is not a fast food like McDonalds and even they tell you to pull up once in awhile but this place shouldn't even have a drive-thru window if 4 cars in park are waiting for food and you've got 2 in line in front of you. As for the food, it's as good as I remember it. The burger patty is sloppy greasy and an odd shape but just oozing with flavor. It looks like someone slapped a bunch of meat on a hot griddle and smashed it down with a hot press and I for one don't know any other way of eating a greasy burger-except a Juicy Lucy but that's neither here nor there. Culver's has a huge selection of burgers, chicken sandwiches, tenders, and even a pork tenderloin (which is amazing-seriously). I've never been disappointed by the flavor or temperature of my sides or entrees personally but if you're dining in and getting a custard or frozen treat, do yourself a favor and order it separately. I've been given a messy drippy mess one too many times because they hold desserts in ice until someone comes back up to retrieve it. The system is kind of unorganized and ill managed but I'm sure they're gonna work their kinks out soon. read more

I came for dessert and was disappointed. I had chocolate ice cream with Oreos and peanut butter. The chocolate soft serve has a weird artificial flavor. I am giving it three stars because my husband enjoyed his vanilla ice cream with cookie dough and caramel. The vanilla is admittedly better than the chocolate. read more

Thick, rich, and creamy!!! I had the Oreo mini custard. It wasn't too sweet which was pleasantly surprising.Also,the cookie to custard ratio was on point. With it's rich consistancy, the mini was just enough...If I went a size larger, it would be too much to handle. On the outside Culver's looks like a restaurant. On the inside it looks like a restaurant. But when you order, you begin to understand that it is a fancy looking burger joint reminiscent of Steak & Shake. The employees were great from start to finish! Great enthusiasm and an eagerness to get your order, which always makes the customer happy! I ordered a double butter burger with bacon and their crinkle cut fries. The food was pretty decent, nothing great but not lackluster either. My wife is a burger lover, so anytime that I can find a good burger place that she enjoys, then I will be sure to find something on the menu that I like. Next time I will change my burger choice to the Wisconsin with swiss and mushrooms and get the cheese curds. I recommend trying the Cheese Curds (which is basically a small version of mozzarella sticks that have Wisconsin cheese as well). My wife ordered them, but was reluctant to share too many lol. Anyways I'd rate my Culver's experience a 4/5, I'd definitely go again, but I will make sure to try a different burger. read more

You could put whipped cream on top of a pine cone, and I would likely give you a solid review. Why? Because whipped cream is indulgently delicious and on top of creamy custard, you get no complaints from me. This was my first time at Culver's. My topping of choice was strawberries, so part of my daily fruit requirement was satisfied. Now I wonder if it would be weird for me to dip cheese curds into my custard. Best lunch decision I made in a while. First time ever eating here and won't be the last. Everything is made to order. The cheese curds was the surprisingly delicious. Next time I will get two orders. The butter bun single is good. It honestly reminds me of a steak burger from Steak n Shake. The onion rings was spot on and the fries was nice and fresh. This place is very busy but that's to be expected for a new restaurant in Augusta. I went opening night and the lot was packed and the drive thru wrapped around the building. It's tight but once things settle down it won't be a problem. So to the food. The struggle really is real between fries and cheese curds. I bought both. The curds were perfect but the fries were only mostly done. I bought the double butter burger. I didn't realize when I ordered it that I would have to pay extra for the extras (lettuce, tomato). I bought it anyway because I'd been there well over 20 minutes. The burger was good. It was way better than a Steak n Shake but not the best I've ever had. Since I know there are other offerings there I'll definitely be going back again. I'm only giving it 4 stars because well it was good but not mind blowing. I'll gladly change it when I return and actually had something that's better. If you live IN Grovetown it's worth a trip but driving from Augusta, I probably won't go there much. read more

Their cheese curds are delicious and the fries are like the wavy fries and I thought that was sow cute. Had the burgers which are huge and greasy so great in our world today, haha! Only thing I was bummed was for the kids toys! But you can buy some seperate, just go to mcdonalds for the kids toys. Other than that their food is yummy and their concrete mixers are super flavorful and yummy. Better than the Dairy Queen here thats for sure. read more

Been there 3 times within past 8/9 weeks. Twice, eating in, they forgot to make one of the items we paid for. Almost finished our meal before brought. On a trip through the drive thru, waited 15 minutes after paying. Finally, went in and they told us they 'forgot' about us! Big deal to get refund, too. Took another 5 minutes! Take note on your next visit - there are ALWAYS employees standing around, right near the front counters - doing nothing except shooting the breeze w each other. Both times I was in restaurant, there was only one employee on register, 8/10 customers in line and 5/6 employees nearby, doing nothing except gabbing! Also, sent 'feedback' through Culver's website/app., chock full of details on purchase/time/transaction # - even manager's name! Never heard back. Waste of time. This is clearly a failure of leadership; probably throughout entire company. Almost all employees appear to be under 20. They are polite enough, but the culture there is broken. read more

Located conveniently by an I-20 exit and across the road from the Gateway Walmart Supercenter and down the street from the Columbia County Exhibition Center, Wisconsin-grown Culver's appeared not too long ago to provide us with deliciousness! The Grovetown location is very clean and provides ample, comfortable tables which encourage dining in the restaurant. They always have staff in the dining room vigilantly clearing tables so that you can sit and chat without having your trash on the table. The ambiance reminds me of a Chick-fil-A in that a lot of families dine inside and the food quality is exemplary for fast food. Think Chick-fil-A with a bigger variety of proteins plus custard and minus the "my pleasures". I've eaten a few different things at Culver's and I've always left pleased with my meals...and admittedly, while shopping in the area and yearning for a sweet cold treat, I have suddenly found myself in the drive-thru ordering a decadent frozen custard. The restaurant has a never-frozen burger called the "Butterburger" served on a lightly toasted and buttered bun. They also have a variety of sides from fries to onion rings to green beans. However, you'd be doing yourself a great disservice if you don't try the cheese curds! Those delicious nuggets of dairy goodness are sure to make you a fan and to make you deliriously happy. The frozen custard here is absolutely delicious and they serve basic flavors with custom add-ins as well as feature a Flavor of the Day. A convenient fridge filled with mixed custards also greets you in the ordering area so that you can bring your custard home. Surprisingly for me, though, is my discovery of the scrumptious North Atlantic Cod Filet Sandwich, perfectly battered and fried and very flakey. The fish sandwich is absolutely the very opposite of Mickey D's filet-o-"fish". There are a few other things worth noting as I wrap my review up. To military-affiliated folks: Culver's has you covered with a military discount. Parking is ample. The drive-thru wait times are sometimes a little longer than other fast-food places because most items are cooked to order. If you are like my husband and I driving up the road on Labor Day Weekend, this is the place to completely waste your time. Plan on an hour because your order will take forever to make and/or they will jack it up. My husband ordered a double cheeseburger, fries and a root beer. Cashier "do you want the kid's meal?" My husband "can I order a double cheeseburger with the kids meal?" Cashier "no." My husband "ok then I want a double cheeseburger, fries and a root beer." Cashier "so you do want the kids meal?" OMG the cashier wasn't listening or paying attn. This is a very simple transaction! I later ordered a chocolate malt. I had to ask for refund on my chocolate malt because it took far too long to make and when the young woman brought it out it looked like no malt Culver's has made for me in the past. It looked like a parfait with vanilla on the bottom, vanilla ice cream partially stirred with hot fudge/chocolate in the middle and a thick ring of unmixed fudge around the top. I live in Grovetown so my family and I were anticipating the opening of a new restaurant in our town! Our first experience at Culver's was during their opening week, our burgers were hot and fresh. Our 2nd visit was a few weeks thereafter and again the burgers were hot and fresh...so I would have to say it has been consistent. First visit I had the mushroom and Swiss and it was average (nothing gourmet about it). The burger was hot, the meat patty was thin and it appeared to be hand pattied, the mushrooms were from a can. A good fast food burger. Second visit I had a regular cheeseburger. It was tasty, hot and fresh but again a good fast food burger; don't expect gourmet. On my third visit we went just for the sweet treats. I had a concrete mixer and I would have to recommend a Dairy Queen blizzard over there mixers. It was not concrete (thick) it was milky and thin. The mix-ins that I chose were grinded too finely. My daughter had a vanilla custard that I sampled and it was good. It's been a couple of months since I have been back, so I guess that means it is not at the top of my dining choices. Great location, nice dining area, good ice cream/custards and decent food. Many compare their burgers to steak and shake; I can understand that comparison. Culver's is worth a try if you like fast food. read more

The food is good, the service is just awful. We keep going back because of the food, but have finally had to say, enough is enough. There is one guy there who has a prosthetic arm who is very nice, but outside of him it's like everyone is upset to be there. They move slow and act like they're doing you a favor. Also, they should close their drive through because it's not a drive through. It's an order and park. Also, if you order a sundae or anything like that in the drive through, prepare for your cup to be about 2/3's full. Yesterday, after waiting 20 minutes for my food I pulled back around to get a refund. Food still wasn't done and didn't get much more than an I'm sorry from an overwhelmed teenager. I had tried to flag down the teenage boys as they were delivering food to other vehicles, but they pretended not to notice me. Really wish this place was better because the food is good, but the service is worse than McDonald's. Also, I wish they'd stop playing Christian music. Went to this location on 06/08/2020, and the lady at the drive through was extremely rude. Every time I asked a question, she had some sort of attitude, like I was the reason her day was going bad. I ordered a bacon butter burger, she asked if I wanted, lettuce, pickles, tomatoes and mayo. I of course said yes, now when I got home, I hitch is right across the street, my fries and onion rings were cold to the touch. Now I know this is not going to happens within literally 3 minutes. I was pretty upset about that, but what was even worse is when I opened my burger it was completely plain. Culver's is awesome. Although the lines are long during peak hours, they've developed a system to get you your fresh food ASAP. Staff is friendly, respectful, and helpful, and the service I have received is way better than any other local fast food establishment. I also appreciate how diverse the staff is- young, old, black and white. It makes me feel good knowing that our local Culver's represents the community they are serving. The food is great! We keep eating at Culver's because the burgers and frozen custard are so good! I like Diablos, Arby's, and McAllisters which are all nearby, but we keep going instead to Culvers because the hamburgers are just so good. The burgers are browned but perfect inside and the cheese, bacon, lettuce and tomatoes make them excellent. The fries are perfect. And the frozen custard is wonderful, smooth and creamy. The turtle sundae is to die for. Glazed whole pecans, chocolate and caramel sauces make it amazing. If you are gluten free, the GF buns are wonderful. And come in the wrapper, so you can be as careful as you want. The restaurant is spotless, another reason we like to go. I've never seen anything dirty inside, including tables.
