First time a Culver's did not go well. First they got our order wrong which can be over looked. This real issue came when they argued with us twice over the error. If I had typed the order in myself it would be one thing but they typed it in wrong then tried to tell us we were wrong in what we ordered. This is not acceptable behavior. All they had to do was correct the order but they chose to make nasty comments to us instead. The manager Did refund our money and give us coupons but we will never use them. read more

The employees are courteous, friendly and move with a purpose, and the restaurant is clean and well maintained. It is obvious that it is well managed. After having a good meal, we decided to stop by and pick up some dessert, so we decided to go to Culver's, i was excited to go since I've never tried Custard, and that's what we were getting! We ordered online and I got vanilla base with butterfinger peaces and marshmallow cream, (which I was really excited for!) Another one of the people in my trio got chocolate base with brownies and hot fudge. While the other got Vanilla with Oreo, recess, and hot fudge. Let's start off with the positives! It's very creamy, smooth, and rich! This was definitely a great place to try my first custard. The butterfinger pieces were cut nicely as well, I would definitely recommend to anyone who's nearby and hasn't tried custard, or just looking for a nice dessert! But there was one negative that made me quite sad, they forgot the marshmallow cream on mine, and they also didn't put the fudge in the one that had brownies. Both of us were really looking forward to having those things. But the third member did get their topping, which was hot fudge. It was hopefully a accident or maybe something to do with the connection but hopefully it never happens again. Overall, it was pretty great! would definitely get custard again! Eat here regularly an haven't been disappointed yet. The single Swiss an Mushroom burger is the best. Tasty and just the right quantity. Same goes for the fries. They best fries, much better than the competition. I also get a double scope custard with raspberry sauce. More than ample serving. Stopped here for some custard. Not gonna lie, the menu is kind of confusing; it was very difficult to figure out the flavors and toppings and serving sizes. The staff was pretty slow in getting it out. It's just ice cream and there was no one else in the store. That being said, the staff was nice and the custard was BOMB. I got 1 scoop and it was a decent amount. They have a wide variety of toppings. My mom got a waffle cone and it was decent. Overall a good option to some custard. I guess the later you go the food is not cooked to order. I ordered a double burger and the meat was crispy and almost burned. I could see if 1 of my pattieS was that way (I would then call it an oversight) but both is a biT much. The person putting my sandwich together had to see this. This is gonna be a no for me. My food was a little over 11 dollars for a combo but i did sub fries for the cheese curds so that was almost a 2 dollar up-charge. The burgers come plain to make it all the way aka lettuce pickle and onion is an additional 80 cents. I used the drive thru and i was car number 6 in the pull up queue. Speaking on this pull up queue, customers cannot leave at this exit because cars are on both sides of the exit. Maybe once they get faster this won't be an issue. If only took about 5 to 6 minutes to get my food and everyone else before me had left as well. When i got my food it was lukewarm at best. So it seems you aren't waiting on it to be cooked just to be bagged and given to you. Process seems strange. Every car is pulled up and this parking lot is not designed for that. My cheese curds were just cold and greasy. There were no redeeming qualities of them. They are almost $4 for an order they need to be cooked to order. My burger was good just cold and I'm slightly annoyed that it doesn't come with the lettuce pickles and onions indicated on the menu pictures. I know some chicken places to up-charge for this but who eats a burger without those as a default. I might return if my friends want to go once they have ironed this all out but i highly doubt it. read more

Came here on a Sunday for lunch. They were very busy probably because they have not been open long. They operate in a fast casual sense in which you order at the register and they bring your food to you. It is a bit more expensive than the traditional fast food. The dining room was very clean which was impressive since they were so busy. We got our order put in pretty quick and found a small table for us. They brought my food out first. I ordered the mushroom swiss burger. I took a bite and there were no mushrooms on my burger. I explained to the worker (Emily) that brought my friend's food. She got extremely sassy with me and asked me what I wanted her to do. I replied that I only wanted my burger to be correct and it was didn't have one of the two main ingredients. She sighed and said she would bring me some. I took great offense from her attitude towards the whole situation. That is no way to talk to a customer when you work in the service industry. To top it all off my friend's burger was also completely wrong. We called the manager over to tell her that both of our orders were wrong and she quickly took initiative and went to get them fixed. She brought out our new burgers. The burger was solid for a fast food burger and I really enjoyed the flavors. The whole service experience just left a very bad taste in my mouth for the restaurant. read more

I really liked this place on my few visits. This visit was an exception. They claim the food is made to order, but: 1. The fries tasted like they were old and had been placed back in the grease to get warm again - the taste and texture was awful. 2. The hamburger patty appeared to be old and burnt. The sandwich itself had very little lettuce, a few onions, and very little condiments. Seemed old - maybe that is why the drive thru was empty today. 3. The only good thing was the Cod Filet. It appeared to be cooked to order. Today this was not worth the price - may try them again but it will be awhile. read more

Yikes! Was looking forward to going here and getting a good burger and shake, so when we finally got there, I was happy. There were 4 of us and we ordered 3 shakes and 4 sandwiches. You order at the counter and they bring your food to you. When they delivered it, there was only 1 shake. We didn't notice this right away, so my husband went to counter and asked about it. He waited while they prepared mine. I opened my fish sandwich and there was nothing on it. Again, he went to front to get mayo. My friend had mashed potatoes with gravy. He had no fork, again to the front. By the time he got back, his wife realized she didn't have her shake. He went up front again and waited while they prepared her shake. She ordered chocolate, but he brought back strawberry. By this point she said forget it! And the food was terrible. We won't be going back. read more

I have eaten at culver's in the midwest for several years when I worked in Mo,Io ,and midwest. It was excited when I saw they were opening in Hoover. Three of us for dinner,arriving at 6:15. Car lined up around the building. Young fellow was directing traffic and doing a good job. He got us a parking spot immediately. We walked in got in line,we were handed a menu and offered to answer any question. We order The Culver Burger all the way with grilled onions and Fries. Open Face Pot Roast ,green beans cream potatoes. Cod Fish Slaw and Beans. Cheese Curds and two custards. (You can ask to put your custards on hold until you are done with meal) The food was delivered to our table in a surprisingly fast. Food was HOT and delicious. The Cod side orders were wrong but was rapidly corrected and the manager that helped us brought us marinara sauce for the Curds. I highly reccomend that sauce with your cheese. The fish was great nala and Pot Roast were outstanding it was severed fast and hot. Wife and mom do not like Green beans served al dente. NO GREEN BEANS THERE. After meal I went to counter and gave cashier my HOLD order. I returned to our table a few minutes later our Custards were in our hands. All way around (except those dang GREEN BEANS) it was a hit. read more

Second visit to this location, today I chose a drive thru experience. I was surprised at how quickly the line moved due to this being a new restaurant in town. I was promptly greeted at the speaker box "what can I get started fresh for you today?" I placed my order which appeared correctly on the screen. I paid at the window and received my drink and was give a number and asked to park. I received my order shortly afterwards from a friendly employee who asked if I needed anything else. Once I opened my meal I realized I didn't not receive the bacon or pickles on my burger like I had asked for, aside from that hiccup meal burger, fries, and soda were all delicious. We have been going here since they opened. Very impressed at first. Great atmosphere and very good service at first. Now starting to see problems. All of which could be fixed if somebody was looking. Some young employees are more interested in chatting with fellow employees than in doing work. A lot of kids left to idle chatting does not equal good service. I waited 5 minutes while the one young man chatted with an off-duty employee as he ordered something going off shift. And they had to examine each other's cell phones. Only one worker taking orders while seven stood over in corner chatting. 7. When it was my turn, he wandered off and I was left right there twiddling my thumbs. What??? When he came back he had a conversation with the cook for 2 minutes. Then he came back to the register. Gnats. Flies. Always a gnat or a fly flying around. Is there a door left open? The food is good except for the dinner roll ( hockey puck ). Throw it away. Great cod dinner - except for the dinner roll. Ice machine sucks. Undersized, slow. Floor in front of the ice machine is always wet. Drink machine has an air leak. Come on, call the vendor!! Great outside seating, great indoor seating. Trash is collected well, restrooms are clean. Mostly I like the restaurant, it just needs a good district manager to come by for an hour a week and manage a little. read more

OK, an update - I just got a raspberry shake through the Culver's drive-thru, and it has a dome top with the opening so darn wide on the lid that it may as well not be a lid at all! This is not a good idea for the drive-thru, folks, or for taking anywhere outdoors, as insects can easily fly in it. Next time I get a shake through the drive-thru, I'm asking for a flat lid - and if possible, a different style cup other than the thin, clear plastic one that's slippery and does not insulate well. Also a 2-piece fish dinner with the shake was over $15.00 - that's a little bit of a sticker shock for me - could have gotten a sparerib dinner at Jim 'n Nick's for that price. Update: my North Atlantic Cod dinner is missing a side (the Coleslaw) :( Also no tartar sauce, no napkins, and none of the salt and malt vinegar I had requested :( This place is too new to be making these kind of mistakes. That having been said, the batter dipped cod was, as Breaking Bad Lawyer Saul Goodman would say, "Fan-tan-tastic"! The crinkle fries were good, and the raspberry shake was great (put some aluminum foil on the top as I hate those wide-mouthed dome tops). Still wouldn't have minded it if they had included the coleslaw like they should have - hope they'll comp me for the error, but dang, I have to have that fish again!!!!!! read more

We had the cheese hamburger, crinkle fries and chocolate malt Worst hamburger I've ever had, the burger was so thin that you could not help but make the patty crunchy. The bun was ok overall the burger was a cold lettuce and tomato sandwich. Crinkle fries straight out of a bag of frozen. Not hot. The chocolate malt was great, very, very, very, thick and rich. Get a spoon! Can't do this shake with a straw. Will not eat there again but will go by for frozen custard when I am close by. read more

The new location in our neighborhood ( 280 and 119 area) was convenient after a busy morning so we gave it a try. We had to wait a bit for the food it is all drive through but that is what we wanted. I checked the bag as my husband started pulling away. They left out the fries. So we went around, and he decided to just stop and run inside. He took the bag and the receipt to show them that the fries were missing. The cashier apologized and then a woman ran out of the back yelling "You are not supposed to be in here!" He explained why telling her there were several cars in line and we waited again in line what we had would have been cold. She continued to shriek about him being inside and handed him one pack of fries. He told her she owed him two. She signaled for another and ordered him out. When he came back and told me I asked if she apologized for the oversight. He said no only the cashier did. I don't think we will go back. We took the food home and it was fine. Just a hamburger.
