Freshly opened on April 20, I've already been here twice! First time was on Opening Day which was a little raucous because this place was packed and we waited 45 minutes for our food which we were told was half as long as the lunch crowds. This Culver's is SWANK! There is a fireplace in the dining room, and faux stone everywhere. Even from the outside the place looks nicer than your average fast food joint. Like all Culver's, the employees are super nice and go out of their way to get you what you want - even through the hectic hectic crowds, they keep smiling. The food was delicious when it finally arrived, and it all came correctly even though I did see a few customers return their orders because there were minor mistakes. It was all fixed gladly and quickly! If you plan to trek out here for a butterburger, come with PATIENCE as this place is going to be crowded for a WHILE. Your best bet is to come during non-peak hours or later in the evening (PS - they're only open until 10pm - I think/hope that may change!). read more

When this Culver's location first opened, I was as excited to try it out as everyone else. Now, a few years later, I'm sure to visit Culver's at least once every time I'm at home. A quick trip to Culver's is perfect for a meal to-go when you don't have time to cook or to sit down for a laid-back, affordable dinner. PROS: -The bargain for what you get! There are very few other places I can think of where for just a little over five bucks, you can get a grilled cheese sandwich, crinkle fries, a small fountain drink, AND a generous scoop of frozen custard goodness. -The custard (especially the chocolate) is delicious and I find myself craving it regardless of the weather. Even better, you're allowed to choose one of the many toppings to go along with the scoop that comes "free" with the kids meal. No nuts (like slivered almonds), but it's still a great deal. -The crinkle cut fries are satisfying, even if there's nothing particularly special about these compared to, say, White Castle's. CONS: -The grilled cheese sandwich (my vegetarian meal of choice) leaves something to be desired. They use a lot of butter and oil, and the sandwich is usually under-done with the cheese not fully melted. The quality of the dining-in experience is really varied by whoever else happens to be there. Sometimes there are screaming children and parents who do not try to silence them (or, even worse, obnoxious groups of teenagers). Sometimes the other table conversations are just fine at the appropriate noise level. There is also a real fireplace at this Culver's, which adds a charming little touch to this chain restaurant. I give this joint four stars for what it is. This is Culver's--not a place that sells gourmet food at sky-high prices. At Culver's, you get what you pay for, and then some, which is what makes it a pretty sweet deal! read more

Recently found out there was a Culver's close to my home, we had to go check it out. The restaurant was very clean, mostly likely because it was pretty new. We were able to get our order taken right away. While at the condiment stand, one of the workers had noticed the ketchup was out. She went to fill the tubs of ketchup right way which was a nice. We all got our food pretty quick after ordering. The good was still nice and hot and tasted good. The fries were crisp, the burgers were flavorful and the fountain soda was great. The decor might have been overboard with a working fireplace, but it was a nice change from your typical fast food restaurant. read more

This Culvers is alright but the prices are high for the quality of food. They have a fireplace and tv but I'd trade it all for a thick grilled burger. Employees are always friendly and they have an awesome party for the anniversary. We did get a free custard so all is well. read more

We previously enjoyed dining here, and found their drive through service to be attentive to covid precautions. But I have a concern recently. They had us sign up for emails in the restaurant before and I was getting email promotions. An email I received recently (about a week ago) stated to print it or show on your phone. We went through the drive through tonight 7/27 and were told that "they don't take email coupons". Why have email sign up if you don't accept the promotions sent out? I am confused. If the employee was wrong about this, please have a manager contact me. The recent email was about a free concrete with basket purchase. ALRIGHT! Another update for my update :) After filling out a survey regarding my unfavorable experience at Culver's, I received a phone call from the manager asking to discuss my experience there. Unfortunately, it was a busy week for me and I forgot to call back. We went to Culver's again (through the drive-thru), as usual, got home and realized they forgot to give us an order of fries. I called the restaurant, they said to come back and they'll give us a free one-scoop sundae for the inconvenience. It's nice to know that although Culver's employees make mistakes sometimes, their management is always willing to go over the situation with the customer and make it better for everyone involved. I love coming here for lunch, the staff is always very respectful and very kind. I love the atmosphere here, It's quiet and everyone minds their business. If you eat in, they come around to check on you and see if you need anything else. I love ordering the bacon blue cheese salad with pecans!!! It's amazing!!! Well everything here is awesome. I love the buffalo tenders with ranch too, and not to mention the chicken cashew salad. The food is always fresh. I would definitely recommend to everyone. read more

Chrissy at the front counter is one of the nicest and most attentive people I ever met when going into a fast food restaurant. Wow! So nice. I had a lot of custom requests and she took care of everything so kindly. She should be a trainer at Culver's. The place is very clean. If you could offer a smaller order of pretzel bites that would be great. I didn't want to pay over $4 for this. Had a friend of mine make a big deal about Culver's a little while back on facebook so I decided to give them a shot the food was just barely better than the Arches, I was not impressed with the flavor or the burger it was kinda burnt and had the consistency of a burger mom cooked in the frying pan on the stove, I am a better cook than Mom and could of made a better burger at home now if you want some ice cream or treats from what I saw people getting that looked good but as I can't do dairy I don't know for sure don't think I will be trying them again read more

Last night we ordered three burgers. Two were fine. Mine was over cooked and made me nauseous. It's been 13 hours and the deluxe butter burger is still trying to be digested. The tomatoes mayonnaise etc were fresh but the burgers were old looking and not hot. How long had this expensive burger been sitting out?? My fries were freshly cooked and good. My burger was dry but I ate it out of hunger. Not fresh. Stomachs still upset. I haven't had any problems with the Culver's in Berwyn. This Culver's Not delicious!!! read more

Normally, I don't review fast food chain restaurants because really who cares if a 16-year-old "associate" took your order wrong and you're peeved about it? However, the nearest Culver's is approximately 1160 miles from me, so going there was something of a treat. Culver's is a respite from your typical road trip pit stop. During our cross country 5-day drive, we spent several quick meals at a Culver's. Rather than the usual unhealthy road trip junk food, we chose from a wide menu that included fresh salads and soups. I wasn't in the mood for anything rich like a burger, so I opted for a chicken salad sandwich (though I jazzed it up with some cheese curds aka mozzarella sticks). When contacted about this they would only give a refund in person. I don't live nearby, so driving twenty minutes round trip wasn't worth it. Having lived in Milwaukee for several years, I know that frozen custard is a very popular thing to savor on a hot summer day. MIlwaukee has several popular franchises the good burghers of Milwaukee go to, Kopps and Gilles are two. Now this chain is spreading out of Wisconsin into the rest of the midwest like a poison ivy rash...Culver's. Culvers features many of the greasy, calorie laden goodies that Wisconsites crave. Hamburgers fried in butter, fried fish, breaded fried cheese curds and of course mounds and mounds of frozen custard. Custard is a bit like ice cream, except it is a bit creamier and richer. Culver's has also added a variety of smoothies to their menu. Went here on a Friday night and it was very noisy and croweded. Tried a butter burger basket, fried cheese curds and a turtle sundae. You order at the counter and they give you a numbered shingle. After about five minutes, they bring the the order out to you. The butter burger was a good rendition of the Wisconsin Tavern Classic, ground beef pattie fried in butter with standard toppings. Rich greasy and delicious. French fries were ordinary and the fried cheese curds were not the real deal. Just some diced cheese that had been breaded. Custard really hit the spot, rich, sweet and the pecans and chocolate fudge. This particular Culvers was a bit noisy and dirty, usually Culvers prides itself in cleanliness. But in Lyons, what can you expect? There was probably a strip joint at this location twenty years ago. The whole meal was probably about 800 weight watcher points... But a great treat on a hot summer evening. read more

Worst customer service ever to get frozen custard. Don't come here at 8:00pm on Friday. I was here in drive thru 8:15pm 3/31/17 , whoever was on the mic on drive thru is the most disrespectful person ever. That person should definitely get fired. Terrible customer service! After a 30 minute wait at the drive-through and melted custard, cheese curds were discovered missing upon arriving home. After driving back and sitting in the drive-through again, the manager refused to provide the curds for our children. read more

this place kind of sucks...i mean i dont really get why people love it..heres what i got to say...the building looks really nice..the people in there are really nice..but the food is not that great..i had the butterburger..i mean why wouldnt i just go to mcdonalds..i had the fries..i mean why wouldnt i just go to mcdonalds...they dont even have coke..they have pepsi..not a fan... i guess what they do have is soft serve ice cream which everyone craves i guess...the other food options are kind of weird its some dinner stuff and some just normal stuff mostly chicken and fried... count me out for culvers next time read more

The customer service is casual. The butter burgers buns are buttery. They gave two options of candies, but secretly only gave one candy. When requesting for two candies the order this time actually included two candies. Well, the next time ordering here they said they only serve one candy per malt shake. Nice. read more

i can never say anything bad about culvers. great chicken tenders, no extra charge to substitute cheese curds for fries, how awesome! i love cheese curds, and they're always good at culvers. the inside of this one, as mentioned is really nice. i wasn't expecting a fireplace! i'm super happy that there's a culvers near my new house. read more

This burger joint is wonderful! During a road trip my wife, Caroll and I went inside to try this place out. I had never been to culvers before and were very excited in trying a butter burger. The workers are very friendly and helped us out alot. The food is very good. The fries were crisp and hot and the burger has a grand blend of fresh flavors that left me with a full belly and a smile. What impressed me the most however was their restrooms. All the stalls were cleaned to perfection and I was amazed at how thorough every urinal was scrubbed. I spent about fifteen minutes in the restroom really trying to inspect and I have to say that nobody does a great cleaning job like this staff. I dont know what products they use (Lysol, Windex, Clorox plus??) but i sure want to know, because I would love to get my own bathroom just as clean. If you are looking for a great place to eat and a great restroom to visit, come on down to Culver's, they will take care of you for sure!! read more

I just ate here the other day and I got the double burger meal (currently on sale for $5 + tax). I must say, I have not had a fairly basic burger make me feel that full in quite some time. Their non-sale prices are kind of high, so I doubt I'll go here often, even if it is on the way to work. But for every once in a while, it's sure as hell worth the visit. If you eat in, they bring your food to your table, which is also nice. It sucks that Snowflake is gone, but at least it isn't McDonald's that replaced it. read more

I have had their burgers twice. Both times I felt that they were flavorless. The only things I like here are the Reuben sandwich, the concrete mixers and the Sundaes. I recently tried their cheese curds and there was way too much breading on them. In fact there was so much breading on them that I could barely taste the cheese. Very disappointing. read more

This is a very nice Culver's location. The food is always consistent, it is always clean, and the employees are very nice. It is also very close to Brookfield Zoo in case you didn't want to drop $50 on a crappy lunch at the zoo and were looking for somewhere good to eat. (All of the kid's meals come with a coupon for a free scoop of custard). They do have awesome custard... the Caramel Cashew Sundae is my favorite. read more

I've been to this Culvers twice and both times they got my order wrong. Today I specifically asked for no tomato or pickles on my sandwich and a small drink. I got a large drink (yes, its free product but I do not need the sugar). I also had tomatoes and pickles on my sandwich, The juice from those soaked into the lettuce so there was no getting rid of the taste. I pitched the whole thing in the trash and went without lunch. When I arrived at the drive thru window and the employee taking the orders is jabbering away about her social life to another female employee instead of paying attention, I should have known.
