Had a meat craving, after trying two food trucks that were closed today, I decided to try Culver's. Not too bad, not overly greasy because the patties looked a little dry. The flavors were fulfilling my meat craving. Their crinkle fries were okay, but nothing to write home about. Good burger joint. Have been twice now and pleasant experience so far. Reminds me a lot of Freddy's and priced similarly. Love the crinkle cut fries and the double bacon cheeseburger was good. Also like that they have diet root beer!! read more

Keeping in mind that they haven't been open a week yet, we went in and even though the parking lot looked full there were still places to sit. Our order was correct and the food was good. The kids meals come with a coupon for a free scoop of custard which was a nice perk. The Reuben was good. The place was a little chaotic but what do you expect for a new business? The staff was friendly and our food came out fairly quickly and it was still hot. It's a nice change from the same old go to places. The prices were reasonable as well. Twice I've called for an order to go and there's so much background noise, they can't hear me on the phone, and I can barely hear them. That's a recipe for disaster, and in this instance, a hamburger without lettuce and tomato! Who does that anymore? The food is not bad, but they really need to fix their phone orders. read more

This place is new for the area. It was busy but was greeted by the cashier who was cheerful and had a smile on her face. I ordered the double cheeseburger with fries and soda. Order was taken promptly and I say myself. Within a few minutes my meal was at my table. The burger was cooked just right and came just as I had ordered. I am personally not a fan of the crinkle cut fries but they were cooked with the just the right amount of crisp to them. Several people stopped by to see if my meal was ok. The Culver's in Carroll Iowa never fails to make me glad that I have purchased food from them! The have excellent quality food with a good variety and their customer service is second to none! Their training program of new ones always produces the same result of friendly courteous employees that make me feel like a welcome customer! Amazing customer service! I pulled in right before closing on a Saturday night (I didn't know they were so close to closing). A guy named Dontee (sorry about the spelling) went ABOVE and beyond! It was as if I was his first customer of the day. He was also so friendly! You just don't experience that kind of service as often anymore!! He would be a joy to work with and He is an huge asset to the company. I hope he is rewarded because his efforts do not go unnoticed. read more

Culver's is legit! Food is always great. I've been through the drive through several times and pulling out tonight we realized they have never messed up our order. I've had it with their super slow service! All three times I've eaten there, I've had to wait between 10-20 mins just for 1-2 items. Tonight was no exception. Got a number handed to us at the drive-thru for one concrete, and waited over 10 minutes to get it. Two cars behind us were served first! The time before that, We went inside and ordered two shakes and they literally forgot our order, and actually told us that when we got our food. We had waited over 20 minutes, and I saw several employees just standing around doing nothing in the back and it was a slow night. Food isn't that great either. So my 3 year old boy made a wish in s fountain earlier in the day and the wish was for ice cream, for him, his grandma, myself and our friend. We just moved here and weren't sure where to go but ended up here and HOLY MOLY, it's the creamiest ice cream we've ever had. Sooooo good. Not sure if it's even called ice cream I think maybe frozen custard but holy smokes it's good. We will be back to fulfill more toddler wishes. read more

their Butterburger was the best when they first opened but the quality deteriorated since then to a less than average burger.

Super horrible service. First they put all the toppings on the two burgers which is fine most restaurants do that even when I ask for certain toppings. The worst was I ordered two double bacon cheese burgers they charged me for it but gave me a SINGLE party. And also they forgot to give us our custards so we had to go BACK and get them. read more

Don't bother going through the drive through. If you order food and ice cream they will immediately make the ice cream and then make you sit outside in your car for 20 minutes while they make the rest of your food. They will then hand your food and a soupy pile of whatever ice cream you ordered. I really hope they go out of business soon so a dairy queen or freddie's or any other fast food location can take the spot. I really hate this place but it's the closest place to my house so for some reason every couple of months I decide to go and get disappointed. read more

Deserts are good, better than other fast food restaurants. However, the employees were very apathetic and rude. After messing up the order, they refused to own up to it. The manager blamed us for the mistake in the order and was very difficult and unpleasant. read more

Stopped thru the drive thru today to grab some lunch on the way to watch game. They didn't seem to busy was only in couple cars in drive thru. Wish they had a menu before u get up to speaker to order so u can make up your mind before hand. We looked up menu on phones so had a pretty good idea. Ordering process was easy and fast and pricing is about the same as any other fast food place. Once u pay at window I get your drinks and then a number to pull forward to wait.. seems like a not so efficient way to do business but whatever works for them I guess.. as far as food goes it was a little above average. The butter buns are nice and soft, meat was about average but cheese was very good. We also got a chicken sandwhich which was above average. We got both fries and onion rings both on the above average side of things.. all and all incould rate this above normal for fast food. I would like to go in and sit down and try some of there ice cream and other fun stuff.. I don't think I would go out of my way to go there but since I am in the area alot I am sure I will frequent it from time to time.. read more

Awful, awful, awful. Before going we looked at the reviews and decided it was worth a try. It was just awful. The burger patty was paper thin, I kid you not! We got the much raved about cheese curds and they were disgusting. Fries were cold and the bun was hard. The only good part was the nice kid who took our order. Everything else was awful. read more

If I could change any one thing in my life, I would change eating at Culver's. The commercial made the food seem like a luxury, possibly better than homemade fish & chips. Instead I had the WORST food I have ever had in my life. The fish itself was flavorless and so was the batter: it tasted like pure fat fried in grease. Somehow they even screwed up their fries, making them under-salted and flavorless as well. The tarter sauce was just corn syrup and lemon, reminding me of under-cooked escargot. The water tasted like it was chemically engineered and the cups were falling apart. The ketchup was the only thing that didn't leave a horrible taste in my mouth. If I could, I'd rate this restaurant a 0, but unfortunately I have to give it more credit than its food deserves. This place is the BEST fast food around. Try the pot roast sandwich...yum! Good fries and super tender chicken strips. The honey mustard dipping sauce is perfect and the custard is a HUGE winner. You can mix in any treat for a new flavor every time and they have a flavor of the day for scoops. read more

Terrible. Just terrible. The roast beef sandwich I ordered was very plain, boring and dry. The cups they give you are really flimsy and if you go with no ice in your cup for support, you'll end up with soda all over your hands. McDonald's uses better cups. I found this out when my cup collapsed and I ended up with a hand and sleve covered in sticky Dr. Pepper. The employee standing near the soda machine just completely ignored me. I went to the restroom to wash it off, but their bathroom sink did not work. Makes me wonder if any of the employees were washing their hands. The rotten customer service combined with bad food puts this place on my do not go list. read more

Tried Culvers last night, average burgers and fries, prices seem reasonable for two people to eat under $15. Will go back again and try the ice cream or shakes along with the onion rings instead of the fries. Being it is a fairly new place it was really clean and staff were friendly. read more

This place is a chaos. First time we tried they messed up the order and double charged. My bad for not checking the receipt at the window. Second time (also last time) they once again messed up the order while we sat in the drive through in 95 degree heat as our ice cream melted waiting for the rest of the order which once we received was missing part of the order. They also don't give you a real itemized receipt when you pay so check your order and demand an itemized receipt and check your card statements. All in all the good isn't bad if you get it before it's cold or ice cream before it's melted. Not worth the hassle though read more
