This will probably be my last visit to this location. For the second time in a row I received an order of cole slaw that was literally half full if that. Not only that but I ordered a chicken club but received a regular chicken sandwich. This plus a small fry was about $18. I know you have a lot of young kids working at your restaurant and mistakes happen but this isn't right. The cole slaw alone shouldn't be filled half way it was literally a few bites. Somebody must not be checking orders as I paid for the chicken club but did not receive one. Next time I will go to a different location.

I had to try this classic destination while visiting Chicago. I tried the corn dog, onion rings, pretzel bites and burger (not pictured). All the food was typical of a fast food joint. It was served hot, and the portion sizes were large. We ordered it for takeout so I can't speak to the service or ambiance.

After one bite this is what I get

There ice cream for the mixer was like soup I took one bite and it was already melted we got the flavor of the day and it melted on the guys hand

This review is strictly for Culver's food and not the specific location. I have a sort of love/ hate relationship with Culver's food. I have had Culver's food a plenty of times in the past and all that time a couple of things have been consistent. Their burgers are boring or as someone would say these days, "just meh!" But their fried fish, cheese curds (decent) and frozen custard are good. I recently had their double bacon cheeseburger and it was just average in taste. And I had asked for it without mayo, which was confirmed while the order was passed on to the kitchen, but when I came home with burger, it was lathered in the damn mayo. I hate mayo on burgers. It does not belong on it, in my opinion. It ruins the taste of the burgers. The burgers aren't even half as good as how they advertise them on their t.v. commercials (Just a thought. I know what they show is not how exactly it is usually). My main reason of going to Culver's is for their frozen custard. I like to try some of their varieties in the form of a concrete, sundae or a milkshake. The only reason why I had their burger recently was because I had coupon with a good deal. The prices aren't bad and the service at this location is good. I'd only go again for their frozen custard and maybe their fried fish. Two and a half-stars like place for me. They try to be better than average but are just an average, family friendly fast food place (in terms of their food, I mean).

Two nights out of three, no ketchup cups. Wow, fries come with most meals. The first night, a young man behind the counter tried to give me a bunch of those tiny ketchup packets that are hard to open rather than make sure the supplies are adequate. The second night, I didn't feel like they wanted to be bothered. The food was okay, better than McDonald's, if that's your measuring stick.

Like many other Culver's, the staff here is quite different - and better - than similar places. They deliver your food and actually ask if you need anything else. The Double Butterburger Deluxe is an especially good sandwich and reasonable at about $6.50.

Um frozen custard, butter burgers & fried cheese curds are the staples here. I mean how can you go wrong with that?

We got the Cali burger which had avocado and bacon and I'm forgetting the name now but one with a fried egg and bacon. The buns on the burger were so good (I think they're brioche buns from Turano) - soft with a good bite. And the loaded fries we got were also delicious with green onions, bacon bits, cheese, and some sour cream. I learned that the fries are made in-house not bought frozen and pre-cut. Next time, I would just get regular fries bc they're so good as is! Would love to go back to try the smoothies. Everything seems to be made with care and quality at Twisted Burger and can't wait to go back.

El Zorro burger-- this was really good. There's a beef patty under the chorizo, so the chorizo flavor wasn't overpowering. Sauce is also not overpowering and not greasy. The large fries is definitely pretty large. The cuts are of potato without additional coating before frying so the flavor is of potato itself and added seasoning afterwards. I prefer it this way since the oil soaked ones are soft and delicious, but my kiddos prefer more crispy and crunchy end pieces. The Baja fish naan is still our favorite. Because of the loaded fresh veggies. Would come back to this local POC owned establishment to try more of their shakes and burgers!

Our Burger Club visited on a Thursday night not knowing local artists came for an open mic night. It's a tiny place with tables crammed in at every angle and wherever they could put them. We grabbed a table unbeknownst to us in front of the open mic area. Some of the acts were good and some not so good. And they clearly had a following. One of the more interesting decor choices are the LPs that adorn the walls. Not the records themselves, but the LP jackets and covers. They're on the walls and they looked as if they were placed on the walls when they were first purchased as they were properly aged for their timeframe (classic rock mostly). We all had the burgers (hence the burger club). The burgers and fries were reasonably good. We had also ordered wings as an appetizer to share and they were very good. What surprised me the most was that there was one bartender/server and one cook in the kitchen. That was it and the bartender/server was johnny-on-the-spot. She took our order, served our drinks, checked on us, and repeated the process for all the other tables (all were taken) and all the patrons at the bar. I was amazed at how hard she and the cook worked, despite the number of people, The burgers were okay, the wings were pretty good. But the service was hands down some of the best we had and the venue was welcoming to us outsiders into their open mic wonderland. Go for the food and stay for the atmosphere and terrific service!

Thought I might never leave! We cancelled our dinner plans to eat here instead. The smash burger was legit the best Smashy B. I've had in all of Illinois. Garlic aioli on the side brought a tear to my eye. Best part is that we met some tubular folks who struck up a great conversation and even shared their pizza with us so we could try it, too. "Birds of a feather flock together!" and all that, but when the foods good, the atmosphere is good, the vibes are good, and other people are there, having a good time? That's what brings a place from "good" to "great". We will be back soon!

From the time I walked in, I was greeted by the hostess, who was very nice and same with the bartender Cary. The restaurant is very nicely decorated and is a great date place! There is some great views of the water too and this would be a great place in the summertime! The wedge salad was very good with their homemade dressing and same with the short rib pasta which was more than ample for two people. They only serve gelato, but the salted caramel gelato was hands down the best I've ever had! Cary made a fantastic French martini too! What also impressed me was the locals that were very friendly and made the evening even more enjoyable. If you are in the area, I would definitely stop by and have a fantastic meal, cocktail gelato like I did. This restaurant definitely earned their five stars!
