This will probably be my last visit to this location. For the second time in a row I received an order of cole slaw that was literally half full if that. Not only that but I ordered a chicken club but received a regular chicken sandwich. This plus a small fry was about $18. I know you have a lot of young kids working at your restaurant and mistakes happen but this isn't right. The cole slaw alone shouldn't be filled half way it was literally a few bites. Somebody must not be checking orders as I paid for the chicken club but did not receive one. Next time I will go to a different location. read more

Have ordered through DoorDash twice in the past week, both times the order was cancelled by DoorDash because of issues with this Culver's. Today Culvers tried to give the DoorDash driver the order for concrete mixers, which is what I had ordered, but they had been sitting there for at least 10-15 minutes. Culver's is fast food true , but order a butter burger fries and a scoop or two of chocolate custard and you have just outdone any milk shake around including their own. Eat it th your hamburger and dip your fries in the custard and it is devine. Service is good and the items are served fresh and hot. OK it's not fine dining but this company has gone the extra mile. 3 times. 3 different times i went here and each and every time they manage to fuck up my order more and more. 1 time i pay for fries and they claim i didn't pay for it and made me go in the back of the line just to reorder fries. second time, i get a completely wrong order and end up receiving a veggie burger with a side of cheese curds and today i order 4 tenders with bbq sauce and a side of fries and get honey mustard. my order is always the same, consisting of 4 tenders, bbq sauce and a side of fries and somehow this place always manages to mess it up. do better. read more

This review is strictly for Culver's food and not the specific location. I have a sort of love/ hate relationship with Culver's food. I have had Culver's food a plenty of times in the past and all that time a couple of things have been consistent. Their burgers are boring or as someone would say these days, "just meh!" But their fried fish, cheese curds (decent) and frozen custard are good. I recently had their double bacon cheeseburger and it was just average in taste. And I had asked for it without mayo, which was confirmed while the order was passed on to the kitchen, but when I came home with burger, it was lathered in the damn mayo. I hate mayo on burgers. It does not belong on it, in my opinion. It ruins the taste of the burgers. The burgers aren't even half as good as how they advertise them on their t.v. commercials (Just a thought. I know what they show is not how exactly it is usually). My main reason of going to Culver's is for their frozen custard. I like to try some of their varieties in the form of a concrete, sundae or a milkshake. The only reason why I had their burger recently was because I had coupon with a good deal. The prices aren't bad and the service at this location is good. I'd only go again for their frozen custard and maybe their fried fish. Two and a half-stars like place for me. Two nights out of three, no ketchup cups. Wow, fries come with most meals. The first night, a young man behind the counter tried to give me a bunch of those tiny ketchup packets that are hard to open rather than make sure the supplies are adequate. Being a self proclaimed Burger Aficionado, I was recently in Northern Illinois, on a tour of the local fast food joints, Culvers' Butter Burger was high on my list. I inquired to the perky cashier helping us "why is it called the Butter Burger"? and I was told "because we use butter on the bun to toast it". Seems like a small detail to hang your concept hat on, but I have to say I was surprised at how tasty it was. The burger patties were very small but had that smashed look, and had the beautiful "Meat Crust" that forms from that process. Burgers don't need to be fancy- great meaty beefy, meat crust, American cheese, soft toasted bun = Gold Standard. If there was one in The LBC, I'd be a customer. Their Concretes, code for Super thick shake, was also amazing. If I didn't know better, i'd say that Shake Shack has taken some of Culver's mojo and upscaled it. I'm a fan. read more

First of all, i would like to mention the incredibly slow service. We were waiting in the drive-thru line for about 10 minutes with only two cars ahead of us. Next, i'd like to point out the lack of napkins provided, given, this would have been a much bigger issue if they REMEMBERED THE SAUCE. But no. We had to sit and eat out chicken tenders dry. This is my first time at this location and I will not be back. My single patty butter burger with the works was terrible. I had to throw out half of it. The bun was stale and torn on the top. The burger was literally thin as paper - see pics. And the whole thing tasted like it was made waayyy ahead of time and had just been sitting there. Due to it's location out west on route 60 it never gets extremely busy, which is a great thing. Due to the many companies and corporations that neighbor nearby, many of the sit down burger joints are overwhelmed. It's a welcome and nicety that it's never that swamped and there is never a wait. The restaurant is smaller than most Culver's locations, but has very many booths to accommodate those that would like to eat under a private circumstance. They also have one flat screen television that is usually tuned in to sports or news. Oddly enough, as most restaurants might have photos of nature or some other cliché piece of art on their walls, this Culver's has children's photos. I'm told they are the photos of the owner's children from more than twenty years ago, as the kids are now in their early 20's. Ample parking, clean and clear atmosphere and same great Culver's taste. read more

Why am I even in Mundelein right now that's a better question? I just felt like driving around today after I got my clothes back from the tailor's. I decided to stop by Culver's you know the classic blue topped-fast food-restaurant. This one is different. Not aesthetically, but management wise. I walked in and I was immediately greeted. I love being greeted. The girl who rang me up was super sweet and she let me know specifics about my order. Upon sitting down I was surprised at how relaxed the environment is. Since I have a limited data plan I quickly logged onto their free wifi which is awesome. Who doesn't live free stuff? But right as I logged in, my food was already there? What the heck. Is it possible to get food this fast? I was amazed. The food looked tasty too and fresh! Both the cheese curds and burger were awesome as usual. Remember how I said I love free things? Well the lovely lady who rang me up also told me about a survey to get free custard. Hehehe. So I logged onto their free wifi, to take a survey to get free custard. The survey was quick and painless, I brought up my receipt with the access code and before I knew it, I had the flavor of the day in my hands ready to eat on a steaming hot day. I did drive through service. I ordered a mini Bonfire smore's concrete mixer. They took my order quickly asked me if I wanted any extra mix ins and had me pull through. When I got to the window they provided my total and handed me my ice cream. The mixer was made well with plenty of chocolate pieces and graham crackers. It seemed a bit skimpy on the frozen yogurt. I've had their food a few times and have been pleased. The quality of the butterburgers is good and their service is quick and efficient. I stopped by to get a chocolate shake and it was just OK. Maybe it was because I put it in the freezer to keep it cool. But I found it to be less chocolatey than I would have preferred. But overall despite the not so good shake I would be back. This place really is "A-OK". The food is always what I expect it to be - I mean, it's a chain, so it should be, and I'm glad that they always seem to maintain their standards, regardless of how busy they are. The custard is super delightful - but a little pricey for how much you get. It's extremely rich and creamy, and when you throw in a little Salted Caramel, it kind of bumps it up a bit. I don't go here for the custard, but I do get a deluxe burger basket for lunch sometimes. Their fries are usually hot n fresh, and they are one of my favorite places that serve French fries. Personally, I try to avoid French fries for health concerns, but at least these are good tasting fries. I recommend the deluxe double butter-burger. The singles are too small, and you can't go wrong with their classic recipe. I do not recommend the Wisconsin pub burger. My fiancé loves their root beer floats. read more

I'm not a fan of the burgers here but I'll let you in on a little secret: Culvers has really good veggie burgers. You won't find it on the menu but you can order one. They also have really good chicken (fried chicken, chicken tenders, chicken sandwich). I also appreciate that they make everything to order so I don't mind waiting a few extra minutes.
