I figured maybe I should try their Italian beef since I've only ever tried it at the chain Portillo's. I got a small combo and took it back to my hotel to eat it. The mistake I made was taking it to go instead of dining there. My sandwich got super soggy, but the bread was still held together surprisingly. The meat was seasoned well, and the sports pepper gave it a good balance from the meatiness. I'm sure if I ate it right away, it would've been more delicious because I hate super soggy bread. The fries were crispy and good. If there's a next time, I'd try their other menu items.

They came out with the flat top for the carnitas, al pastor, and chicken and they had huge stone bowls for the salsa, guacamole, and salsa verde. First the food was excellent. The meat was seasoned perfectly and coooked with the amount of crisp that I enjoy. The onions and cilantro were freshly cut and a great accompaniment to the protiens. They even had homemade tortilla chips, so I was happy to oblige for my second trip. The flavors were delicious and the presentation came across as homemade and rustic, versus some of the local Americanized hispanic restaurants in the area. Last note is that the owners, Luis and Genaro Garcia, were very kind and made sure that everyone was able to get enough food and feel catered to.
