I ordered the 5 piece chicken tender combo for pick up for lunch because I was craving tenders. I'd never had Wing Snob before so I can't speak to their wings, but the chicken tenders were so good! The meat was well-cooked and not at all dried out, and the breading was seasoned and crispy. I got buffalo sauce and ranch for dipping, but they have a good variety of sauces that I look forward to trying in the future. The service was quick. I ordered online and showed up within 10 minutes, only having to wait for 1 minute before my food was ready. I was told to visit this place by a friend and I was really happy I did. The wings were delicious (I really loved the awesome sauce! Also the hot Cheeto fries was amazing. The portion size was so gigantic! You can definitely feed a few people with that. I would definitely say go take a look at what they have to offer as far as dessert goes because we ordered a caramel apple cheesecake and ended up being given a slice of caramel cake which I did not like. These wings are amazing! Nicely cooked and amazing sauce flavors. I love buffalo wings and lemon pepper wings so it was cool to see that they had a sauce that combined these flavors! Wing snob!? Who told you!? Yes, I am definitely a wing snob. That title comes with a high expectation and I have to say that so far I'm pretty impressed with this establishment. I ordered my food 15 minutes ahead of my arrival and when I arrived the order was already sitting and ready to go. I ordered Cajun ranch fries, 6 pieces of Buffalo lemon pepper wings, and 6 pieces of smokey apple chipotle wings. These wings are a good size, not the little baby wings you see floating around, so more points for that. The fries are excellent! Really tasty with the Cajun seasoning and I'm glad the ranch comes on the side. It allowed my fries to stay a little crispy and honestly the ranch wasn't my favorite. The Buffalo lemon pepper wings... it's a really nice flavor combo. Basically a lemon pepper dry rub splashed with Buffalo sauce. The only issue I had here was I wanted more Buffalo sauce, very lightly sauced which left the balance more lemon pepper heavy. I see they offer extra sauces on the side so next time I try these I'll grab an extra Buffalo sauce. The apple chipotle wings are a really nice and really different flavor. It's dry rub only and it's got a really nice smokey sweet flavor. The crunch on these wings was better than the sauced wings so if you have to travel with your order consider the dry rub options. I like that you can mix and match flavors here, it's fun. I REALLY love that you can order all flats or all drums for an added fee. Those who pay attention know I have a favorite... I got the normal mix this time and both orders were perfectly split, as it should be. This spot is located right next to lots of other great food options so here's hoping they can get some attention all tucked away back there. read more

SuperBowl Sunday was a complete cluster. We ordered well in advance expecting orders to be filled on time. We arrived and found people had been waiting over an hour for their orders. Wanted to try a new wing place visiting back home from out of town. Wing Snob didn't exist when I grew up here, but with a name that confident, it was worth a try. It was a big mistake. We got 20 chicken tenders for December Tenders, and all 20 were extremely overcooked. You literally couldn't bite through one, you had to pull it apart like rubber. It was like eating overly salty chicken leather. The rubs were just outright bad... like dipping your tongue in a can of salt. Maybe their wings are better, but if you can't cook a basic tender, then I can't imagine their wings are cooked properly. Their carrots also tasted spoiled which we only ordered, because they didn't carry celery. They only got a second star, because their cornbread and fries were not half bad. This often happens when the wings are frozen and then not cooked long enough. The corn with Parmesan was not particularly good. Unwilling to accommodate!! About a year ago we received a coupon for $10 for 10 boneless wings with NO expiration date. There was no "code" to enter online, so I called Wing Snob to place the order. The man told me, "oh this coupon is from a year ago, we can't honor it." so I placed an order for 8 boneless wings for $10, since that's within my budget. My daughter and I will just share the 8, I thought. Upon pickup, I brought the coupon in to show the manager, who said, "oh let me look it up to see if we still take that coupon." While he was pretending to "look it up" somehow (even though there was no code on the coupon), I decided it's not worth giving them my business anymore. It is FRAUDULENT to not honor this coupon from a consumer perspective. I also really feel that it's wrong that when you order online, the system automatically applies a 25% tip and you have to change it manually. SMH. When we got home with our food, the wings were 1/2 the size they used to be. Your money is better in your pocket! I'm giving the Libertyville Wing Snob a 2 to give them the benefit of the doubt that maybe their wings are good. Unfortunately, we wouldn't know. We placed an order for the Super Bowl and it was such a disaster at pick up we left without our order. There was no system whatsoever for organizing the pickup, no line, and no way to check on your order status. I arrived at 5:05 for my 5:00 pick up and the room was mainly filled with people picking up their 4:30 orders. I was there about 25 minutes total and the number of people who left with no food and telling them to cancel their order outnumbered people leaving with food in-hand about 3:1. As I worked my way up to the front, at about 5:20, the woman in front of me was told to come back in 30-40 minutes for her 4:30 pickup. At that point I knew we had no choice but to bail, so I managed to get the attention of someone to cancel the order. (Other people were not able to get that and walked out saying they would just dispute it with their credit card.) The kicker? With all these people waiting long past their pick up times, the guy at the register answered the phone and appeared to take another order! Unbelievable. I feel sorry for them. The workers out in front seemed paralyzed with no idea what to do. They were clearly in way over their head and had no idea how to handle a day like this. They also likely lost a lot of prospective customers who won't give them a second chance. I hope they can get their act together and get some help in understanding how to run a quick service restaurant. read more
