Cheese curd plushies and menu. 11/27/24
    Lilah J.

In greater Los Angeles area where I live, we don't have Culver's. So when visiting Chicagoland, it's always a treat to go to Culver's . My nephews drove the hubby and I to this Plainfield location on a late weeknight evening in late November. I've been to another Culver's and remembered that I like the ButterBurgers. It's a fresh, grilled burger served up on a lightly buttered, toasted bun. We had just flown in from SoCal with just snacks on our flight so I was feeling a double ButterBurger and the hubby got a pot roast sandwich. I tasted his and it was delicious. The double ButterBurger was double good! Another side we don't seem to have (or I have not found something comparable yet in SoCal) are Wisconsin Cheese Curds. Culver's says they use fresh, unaged yellow and white Wisconsin cheddar cheese. They deep fry them and the bites are a warm, buttery crunch. On the receipt, there was a coupon for frozen custard which I passed on as I was adapting to the local weather. Service was good by the young lady at the counter. The Christmas decor also looked nice in the lobby/dining area. Looking forward to returning to Culver's whenever we visit the Chicago suburbs again! PS- As I am a fan of the cheese curds, not sure how I feel about the large cheese curd plushies that they have. (Refer to my photo of them).

Not much of a fast food person overall but Culver's cheese curds and turtle sundae are a weakness, definitely under rated! Have been to this location a few times and never had a bad drive through experience.

Nearly $6 for a MINI custard is insane but I do love their concrete mixers. I didn't have to pull-up and wait but you can expect to when you order any food (not a problem for me just fyi). I only ordered the ice cream this time. Service at the drive-thru was super friendly! :)

I went to the culvers in Plainfield, IN (it was during the corona virus thing where you could only go through the drive through) Buddy of mine was telling me how good the walleye was, he had just got some the day before. So I get the 3 piece walleye dinner (had onion rings and slaw for sides), the Slaw and onion where excellent. The fish looked good but the bottom of the fillets where real greasy, so bad it gave me an upset stomach, it was so bad that the napkins I used was soaked in grease. I cant handle a lot of grease, it gives me an upset stomach. I called the culvers in Plainfield and I talked to a young man, he was the one that cooked it, and he even apologized to me and said with this corona virus thing and being we only got the drive through working, it has been very hectic. He said next time I go there make sure I tell them what happened and they will make sure that it is don e right. I said can I get a coupon for a free meal or at least some off on the next one? He said no they cant do that sorry. I am sorry but after spending $16.01 for the meal that is not right, most places would make it up to you but Not Culvers in Plainfield ,IN. Look at all the grease on the napkins. UPDATE: Manager sent me an E-mail and apologized that they didn't meet their standards on my visit and they are sending some coupons that will cover my next meal, so that I can see how their walleye really is.

Burgers from past experience are OK, but NOT fast. Small vanilla cone tonight had gritty lumps and ice crystals. Gross. Threw it away.

While this place appears to be run by one giant clique of high-schoolers, the service is surprisingly very good, food is prepared well and it's pretty quick.

We were pleasantly surprised to find out apps were 25% off- which meant we had to try the pretzel. I think it may have been the biggest pretzel I've ever seen in my life. The outside was a melt-in-your-mouth fried texture with the inside being soft and doughy in the best way. Paired with any of the 3 dips, it made for the most delicious appetizer that essentially filled up our entire table itself. Special shoutout to the arse sauce & their honey mustard- sooo good. The table also tried the buffalo chicken wrap (YUM), caprese sandwich (good!), and penne alla vodka (somewhat mid but better as leftovers). Sweet potato tots were the perfect side. This was my third time here and they honestly never disappoint. Service & food always hit. My go to spot when visiting Plainfield!

Luckily, this visit was much better We arrived right after they opened on Saturday afternoon. The location was easy to find and there was a decent amount of parking. For lunch, we shared the 1.5lb pretzel which was more than enough for our group of 5 1/2 people. As for my burger, I got their Blue Cheeseburger. Overall, it was a decent burger. Good flavor, cooked a nice medium rare which I wanted. Our waitress was nice and friendly and the price was reasonable for 2 adults and 1 kid

My hubby ordered a chicken sandwich that was just as good.. All of our food was very tasty and we really enjoyed it. Portions are generous so hopefully you're very hungry or be prepared to bring plenty home. I was only able to eat half of my food and brought the other half home and my sandwich seemed better the next day which isn't always the case when you bring things home!! Came in on a busy Saturday night after attending another event in the area. The bar was hopping and we snagged the last 2 available seats. At first, it appeared they had 4 bartenders, a manager, and a barback behind the bar. However, other than the barback consistently washing/unloading dishes I am not sure what was going on with the service. Manager was not providing any assistance to his staff. However, he was filling his own water bottle. Other staff were taking selfies with guests. It took awhile to order a second round as well as pay our tab. This was a one and done visit for me.

Asadoras Argentina Burgers is kind of a small place but the menu is actually humongous. Has lots of interesting toppings and more. The prices are okay for the large portions. Of course there's all the crazy toppings. Has beers. It's about $6 a bottle. There's imports such as Estrella. It's about $15 to get the Vegetarian Combo. We figured this was our best option. It comes with a black bean chipotle patty burger. Toppings include arugula, mozzarella which I left off, mushrooms, and onions. Among the sides are fries. There's also salads. Today we ordered a maple bacon milkshake, peanut butter milkshake, 1/4 pound grilled cheese burger on toast, 1/2 pound New Orleans burger and a shareable basket of parmesan truffle fries. Let's start with the positives, the shakes were well made and not overwhelmingly sweet and we liked that a lot. My husband's 1/2 pound burger seemed a little small and my grilled cheese burger said it would be on Texas toast but it seemed like it was sourdough bread and not really thick cut like Texas toast should be. I was looking forward to eating here because the pictures of the fries online looked long and thick cut, the basket of fries we got didn't look like that at all and lacked Parmesan cheese. The negative experience was the fact the water tasted weird. I took one sip and tasted a weird chemical taste but my husband and I didn't complain, we just paid and left. I don't know if it was the water or the cup but it definitely had a weird taste. Overall, the experience was ok. I think we had higher expectations seeing all the pictures online. The name of the place threw us both off because we thought it was a Latino owned burger joint with a Mexican twist but that wasn't the case at all.
