This place is awesome! The customer service was amazing and the owner isn't afraid to help her team out in any capacity to ensure that her customers are priority. I served in the military for 28 years and I have seen leadership at all levels. The owner definitely leads by example. THe food was very fresh and the fries were crispy and hot. This Culver's never disappoints! I wish all restaurants followed Culver's and Chick fil a's business model . Every time I come to Culver's I am met with the happiest young people working there . People are always talking about " the kids today ...." In a negative light , but they aren't working here ! The food is always excellent!!! I always get the same 3 things. Next time I will branch out . Because there WILL BE A NEXT TIME & one thousand more after that . I usually get the chili supreme which comes onions , cheese and sour cream . ( I stopped eating the Chili at Wendy's ) or the Double , bacon , cheese butterburger . Or the tenderloin ! Who even has a tenderloin sandwich anywhere ? The one here is DELICIOUS ( with Mayo , mustard , ketchup , lettuce and tomato ) The drive for me is 25 min with no traffic . So when I say it is worth the drive , I'm sincere . My family and I visited Culver's for a quick dinner before a school event and the food and service were great as always, but I wanted to give a shout out to Sophia, who took our order. First try here and we actually live sort of close to this location. I was hoping the chicken would be a hit for one of my boys because he is particular on textures and taste but unfortunately he didn't like it :(. They were tender vs dried up like most places that can leave these to sit under a lamp or just not have that juicy flavor. I thought they tasted pretty good. We also tried the cheese curds. It was a favorite of ours when we had them in Florida at a completely different place and we liked them here too. Variety in selection on the menu. We liked the burgers. Reminded us of Freddy's or Steak n Shake. Fries were good. The frozen yogurt was alright. Got runny kinda fast in my opinion and my daughters Andes Mint was ok but hardly could taste the mint. More like an after taste when you took more bites. We did feel the total was more than we anticipated for this type of food and honestly not all 5 of us in the fam bam even ate because my youngest was asleep and then my husband and I didn't even get combos. So $41.04 later and a little bit on the unsatisfied end, I am undecided if we will go again or not. I loooooooooooove Culver's yalls. There's only 4 of these in the DFW area and I'm glad one of em is my city of residence, Rockwall. I like the inside of this place because it doesn't look dirty compared to the other fast food restaurants around the area. Plus, they have free wifi and a new flavor of custard each new day. I would say that their best burger would prolly be the classic burger with American cheese and grilled onions. American cheese is prolly the best cheese that meshes well with their type of beef patty. I've tried the Wisconsin melt and the mushroom and Swiss burger and it wasn't even half as good the classic burger. Their concrete mixers are pretty banging as well, I always get the chocolate with Reese's peanut butter cups in it. It's the best. I went here after church and first off, the wait was 50 minutes. Also once we finally ordered, i had to repeat it 20 times. Then whenever i went up the window they gave me root beer instead of dr pepper!!!! When they gave us our food, it had one burger and they were 7 seven of us! Whenever we went to leave we got into a car crash in the parking lot due to some bad driver . I walked in to talk to the manager and it was a 15 year old boy. When i talked to him, all that he did was stare down at this phone. I am ashamed of this restaurant. IM NEVER COMING BACK AGAIN! read more

Most restaurants seem to be cutting back on service and food quality (not always their fault due to workforce limitations) but not this place!! They had plenty of enthusiastic workers being constantly coached (while we were there). The menu is extensive and goes above your standard burger place. My friend had a large cod sandwich and fries, both of which he remarked were outstanding. I had the pot roast sandwich (tender with horseradish sauce) and onion rings on a level with Red Robin.. The place was clean and bright with employees bringing out the food quickly and then cleaning up after. They were quite busy with a long drive-thru line. I can see why. Then you fix your own drink and wait at a table. They bring the food to your table, and yhe food quality is a notch above most fast food burger joints. Most importantly; save room for dessert! Culvers is famous for the frozen custard; realy, really good. Creamy, soft, and full of interesting flavors! Concrete mixers are similar to DQ 'Blizzards,' except the cream is slightly softer and creamier. Sundaes are good, too! If you get a chance, you really need to try these desserts! read more

I want to say something good about this place so I will say that when I called ahead to find out if they offered hot food items that I could take home for a family meal, the young man who answered my questions was very friendly and helpful. I ended up ordering two pot roasts meals with mashed potatoes, green beans and a roll. When I got home and opened up the container, it looked appetizing but the taste left much to be desired. For starters, my kid would not touch the food because the potatoes had gravy on them and it was touching everything else (my bad - should've anticipated that). The green beans were bland - no flavor. The mashed potatoes were OK but the gravy seemed to have a very salty taste to it that overpowered the taste of everything it came in contact with. The pot roast seemed dry. The roll was OK. I'm sure their hamburgers and ice cream are fine but I was disappointed in their hot meal offering (especially seeing how I had to eat it two days in a row), and would not go there again unless I was in the mood for ice cream. read more

Best fast food quality burger I've had for a long time in the outskirts of Dallas It's not the best burger got to make your own or go to a restaurant for that. But it def beats McD's, Wendy's, any other Fast good quality burger chains. Everything was not nearly as good when it started cooling down, have to eat it fresh like most fast food places. Add another restaurant to the list of restaurants charging money for things that are free everywhere else. I'm not a big fan of custard, or overpriced, mediocre hamburgers, so the only reason I ever went to Culver's was for the cheese curds. I brought my family in for lunch on Sunday and ordered a family-sized cheese curds, like I always do, and when they brought out our order, there was no ranch dressing. My wife went to get some and was informed that each tub of ranch dressing now costs $0.27. We normally go through at least three tubs, so this was kind of a big deal. I went and talked to the manager and told her that I would never come back because of this, but she was very unhelpful, simply saying "there's nothing we can do about it". So what's the next step, charging for ketchup to put on your fries? If this trend continues, eventually we will end up having to pay for things like salt, pepper, straws, and napkins. Save a few cents and lose life-long customers. Idiotic. read more

Ive always like Culvers but our last visit put me in the five stars range Here's the deal I ordered a kids tenders for my daughter and the cashier asks me what sauce I would like, I ask whatdaya got, she goes down the list and then says " horseradish". My eyes light up! You have horseradish sauce? Can I get a side of that for my mushroom swiss burger? "Sure no problem" ,she says with a smile. We go to get our drinks...shit I forgot Culvers has their own root beer! Awesome. We get our food...real horseradish in real sourcream, put this on a mushroom swiss butterburger, proceed to enlightenment. My daughters tenders are great looking as well, with a nice crisp batter and obviously real chicken tenderloins. I then realize her kids meal bag has a free coupon for a scoop of custard! Yes! Bonus! About five minutes into eating a girl comes by and tells me since my daughter is so cute, she gets a free ice cream scoop token and places this pink plastic token on the table. I think the people with the three year old little boy behind us where offended they got no such token, but my daughter is ridiculously cute, so this will happen often to her in life. We finish up our meal and go to claim the free ice cream token, just some chocolate, but shim-sham- son of a bitch there ice cream is amazing! Then as we are on our last spoonful of shared custard, an employee walks buy with a chocolate shake and asks if we would like this because they accidentally made an extra. It's fast food. It's "imported" fast food. However, it's friendly fast food, and unlike all the California burger chains which are easily dismissed with, "Uh, Whataburger", I don't go to Culver's for burgers. I don't even go for the custard, which is why many others go - I go for the pork tenderloin sandwich. Long, long ago, I had a long-term project in Des Moines. I spent months there. There were two quick lunches available - Maid-Rite (I love me some Maid-Rite) or a tenderloin sandwich. I really love me some tenderloin sandwich. I loved them so much, I would eat them at the airport - a place not even known for fast food. So, when one of my wife's friends mentioned that Culver's had them, I begged, pleaded and rationalized why my wife needed to drive twenty miles for fast food. I love me some Culver's. The pork tenderloin sandwich is an amazing beast. Just like in Des Moines, it's a pork tenderloin pounded thin, battered and deep-fried. No, it probably is not health food, but we're talking Midwest, not California. It may be frozen and not fresh, as some accused, but it is exactly how I remember it from Des Moines - the tenderloin hangs over the bun on all sides, it's crispy and it's good. It is my favorite fast food sandwich (sorry, Maid-Rite). As a bonus, I discovered Culver's root beer which is also amazing. I wouldn't drive to Des Moines for a tenderloin sandwich, but I will drive to Rockwall, The staff is always friendly. Even the other customers are friendly. A fast food burger chain that uses beef from the Midwest and advertised as fresh and "never frozen". (Although, I'm curious to know how they got it here unfrozen)...... but anywho...it's good! The meat patty is a bit thicker than the burgers from In & Out and they use really big buttery hamburger buns which holds the meat and veggies in place. I'm not a huge fan of their hamburger buns because it was too much bread for me (got to make room for other carbs!), but the burger is still good overall. Then theres the crinkle cut fries that I hardly see served now these days.....ahhh I love crinkle cut fries! The fries were pretty tasty. Flavored just right and perfectly crisped. But aside from their burgers, they're really known for their frozen custards. I tried the vanilla with oreo frozen concrete and it's fabulous! The custard is very thick and creamy and tastes better than ice cream to me. (It's similar, but I like my ice creams to be thick texturewise). Apparently they have flavors of the day on the custards so I'll have to try those next time! read more

I found the cheese curds to be for the uninitiated or the very homesick Wisconsinite (speaking of which, does anyone have Sprecher's around here?). The service is definitely above-average. Everyone is well trained and takes pride in doing a good job. As a result, quality doesn't suffer when they're busy. The cost and quality is above the typical fast food burger chain. The burgers are big enough for me and my husband to split. The custard has great flavor (sooo much better than DQ's ice milk). Service is cheerful - when i come through the drive-thru with my dog, they give me a free dog biscuit for the pooch, which is sweet . Lots of variety, decent food, table delivery, and speedy service. These are really about all I have ever ordered in recent memory and typically though the drive through. This was our first time there and it will be the last. I don't generally judge so harshly but given the situation, I am making the exception. We went here based on the great reviews this place received and boy, were we disappointed. We ordered a pot roast dinner which was dry and they left out one of the two sides that was supposed to come with the meal. They also didn't provide the side of gravy I had asked for. The fried chicken was overcooked as in, practically burnt down to the bone and was also missing one of the two sides it was entitled to. I ordered the cheese curds which were luke warm at best. Also, the mango chiller was SO TART AND SWEET that it was undrinkable. They must have not mixed it right. Nothing about our entire experience was positive except for the polite kids that work there; one star for that. Maybe invest in properly training the staff and perhaps we will be back. As a Midwestern institution of cheese curds, butter burgers, custard and concrete mixers, it's a slice of fatty, cheesy, dairy Wisconsin goodness all wrapped in the blue hue of familiarity. Like California has the In'n'Out, Texas has a Whataburger, Wisconsin and the surrounding Midwest has Culver's. The menu is expansive, service is quick, and the tables are clean when your dining in. While the menu has the brisket to appease the non-traditional burger appetite, don't even consider anything other than a variation of a butter burger; make it a double, or go big with a triple. Make sure to order a side of cheese curds with ranch AND marinara, and wash it down with a concrete mixer. As an FYI, go for the gold and get a few toppings, like cookie dough and snickers or peanut butter cups; considering you've probably just eaten about 2000 calories in cheese and butter burgers what's a a few thousand more? So I recently returned. One major plus is that they are open until 11:00 pm everyday, I think. And another plus, their burger are made to order. A third plus, is that they are always nice and friendly. I order the single Cheddar Melt on Sourdough and added bacon. It was hot and tasty though the patty was so thin, I probably should have doubled up to achieve proper meat to bread ratio. I have said it before but I like that they serve Toaster burgers. I like my burgers on sliced bread sometimes so the option here is nice. I also tried a shake this time (I normally opt for the turtle style custard dish). I got it with fruit ( a rarity) this time, peaches and bananas. I could taste the fruit and there were chunks at the bottom. I liked it though I wasn't sure if I was tasting the custard or the fruit flavor though I know there was indeed fruit in there as noted before. All in all, I may be getting more burgers. I absolutely love Culver's! I had a some what of a negative experience in the drive thru, but the manager made up for it! When I got home I got the wrong sandwich. I called the restaurant and the worker told me to come back. When I got to the drive thru window, my sandwich was ready to go and the manager apologized genuinely for the mistake. She gave me two free meals on the house for future use and also added onto my order by giving me another sandwich on the house. I didn't have a problem paying for it, but she said it was the least she could do! This is excellent customer service. There was a mistake, they corrected it and made sure we would come back and try them again. She did all of this with a smile. Thank you so much for this experience. I'd never been to a Culver's before last year and it was a pleasant surprise. The burgers were good and the ice cream was better. I guess this place is the competitor for Braums. Both are good in my opinion. I do like the seating more at Culver's though, its nice to have a little more privacy. And it is a bit more quiet at Culver's. read more

Well, I went back to give it another shot. I had the butter burger with bacon and cheese on it and onion rings. I also decided to see what all the fuss was about and tried the concrete mixer ( think Dairy Queen blizzard) with chocolate custard and cookie dough. The burger looked good ( a bit on the small side) and all veggies on it were nice and fresh.I bit into it and once again, blandness. Do they season their food at all? The onion rings had a nice taste to them but they weren't anything out of this world. You can get rings better or just as good at Burger Street. The real star of the show was the concrete mixer. The custard has a nice consistency and smoothness to it. It was delicious. Now, would I travel from Mesquite to Rockwall for the custard? Probably yes but not often. read more
