I've been to Culver's several timestimes, both in Illinois and more recently in Arizona, and while this is a new location for me, the menus are all pretty much the same. Service at this location was great. The cashier who rung us up was pleasant and helpful. We all enjoyed our order, and of course we finished off with a delicious frozen custard treat. Ok. I get it. Wisconsin's finest, right? After a couple earlier "not so fantastic" visits I decided to get a plain 1-patty hamburger (no cheese) and the grilled chicken sandwich. A bit pricey- almost $15 for those two alone! So let's do a drive-thru review: 1- service was quick, but they quickly slap a number on your rear view mirror and tell you to go park and wait. I went and did that. 2 - while waiting, I noted it took about 6 minutes for the sandwiches to come out. 3 - The guy who brought out the food was nice and pleasant - natch. Now- I decided to look at the hamburger first. Not too big. The burger bun was almost chilly, not warmed up at all. A bit of mayo too - not a bad thing. First impression of the hamburger: kind of meh. No real "flavor" to it. Hardly any salt or pepper. There was nothing that said "savory" to me. and the bun just was sub-par. I think it was supposed to be a butter burger bun, but Culvers? You're skatin' here. This bun should be warm ir not mildly toasted! So- it was "meh". The grilled chicken sandwich- same bun issue as above, sorry to say. And the same lack of spice-flavors. The chicken was just- meh. Culvers - THIS is why I'm not enamored with you. There's no effort, only a high price. Give me a bit more flavor. Give me buns that feel like they didn't just come outta the cooler - as these did. I'll then be back. My wife and I stopped in for a Monday dinner, and intentionally got their two two seafood dinners. The cod dinner was really good, but the shrimp dinner and flavor of the day custard, not so much. There are no Culver's in California, so my wife and I try to eat in one every time we go back to WI, IL, or TX. This time, we were alone after having dropped off my brother and nephew at the airport earlier in the day. So after a bit of thrifting, we came to this location (again one year later). It wasn't very busy at all. After ordering and paying at the counter, took back the tableside number back to a table. Drinks are self serve. The food came soon after, delivered to our table by our original order taker. We later realized that one can order directly from the table, using the QR code to have it delivered right to you. 6 piece Shrimp ($13.39) - coming with french fries and cole slaw. It's fried shrimp and was served hot, but the butterflied shrimp was small, with a lot of coating to make up the difference. Popcorn shrimp at other restaurants are even better than this. 2 piece cod ($15.69) - the cod was excellent here...thick fillets, served straight from the fryer. Definitely should have gotten the 3 piece. The fries were disappointing...it had been sitting for a while and were no longer crunchy or piping hot. Enjoyed the deli-style cole slaw. Both dinner came with a stale dinner roll, which we didn't bother eating. We knew we wanted custard, and chose the flavor of the day (Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Crunch), using the free custard given for taking the online survey. It didn't work for me this time, with the peanut butter and butterfinger pieces making the already super rich chocolate custard, even more rich...felt like I was eating peanut butter cups..fine for a bite or two, but too much for me. read more

We continue to go to Culver's on occasion. We went recently and found them to be consistent with our earlier visits. I typically get a butter burger basket with a gluten-free bun. The meat in the burger is very good. Their fries are crips and tasty. And they have a good selection of fountain drinks, with my favorite being their root beer. While I'm pleased they offer a gluten-free bun, the quality of the bun isn't as good as I've experienced elsewhere. When it gets wet from the burger juices, the bun falls apart leaving a mess. I'd really suggest they try a different brand or make their own. Aside from that minor issue, Culver's is definitely one of the best fast food places in our area. read more

This review is based on ice cream only. The service here is very prompt and friendly. The restaurant is very clean and spacious with booths and tables. Parking is on the side of the building. The frozen custard/ice cream is from Wisconsin so it's very smooth and creamy. We all tried the flavor of the day which had whole pecan pieces all thru the custard. It wasn't too sweet and a generous serving was in our cones. read more

The staff had a kind of hospitality that reminds me of Chic-fil-A in Los Angeles. I wish the Atlantic Cod sandwich was a wee bit bigger. But the side of fries helped to fill me up! And of course, I can always make room for dessert! The Turtle was a perfect intro to Culver's. I hope it was made of their famous custard:) since it was a rainy day, I stayed in the car. I go to Culver's at least once a month. Never Ever been disappointed with the food. Today I stopped to get a burger and onion rings so I didn't have to cook dinner. Got my order super fast, too fast. There were 2 cars in front of me and by the time I drove to wait while my order was being made to order. The first car was gone. A minute later, both the car in front of me and my order were delivered to our cars. I through that was so fast. I never mind waiting because I know the food is always Great. Not this time. I ate an onion ring and it was so greasy and horrible, I couldn't east no more. Got home and tossed the onion rings out. Was happy I still had the burger, but that was just as bad. Greasy and I took 2 bites and could not eat that as well. Very disappointed. I'm nauseous from the grease I consumed. Go back to cooking food to order as you used to do. read more

I love Culver's! Delicious food and yummy frozen custard. Too bad they don't have any locations in California. I made sure to get my fill when living in the Midwest. You can get healthier options like a grilled chicken salad, or my pro tip is to get the kids' meal, because then you can get the Butterburger, fries, a small drink, and a a free scoop of fresh frozen custard! There's not a lot to complain about with freshly-fried cheese curds. I noticed a little bit of freezer burn. That's pretty typical of the midwest flavor. The staff was friendly as usual. The Wendy's nearby was unfortunate but Ohio culture is naturally-disagreeable. Oddly, there's a speed camera nearby that keeps us from giving this location a 5-star review. The trip to the store is part of the ambiance. The issue with the speed camera is that its trigger is poorly-defined, and the yellow light turns so quickly that you don't have time to react to it. No ticket, but people have been making fun, and now I can't go to Culver's as often. As they said on the Jimmy Kimmel Show, '#ThanksObama'. If Herbert Walker didn't like broccoli and they sent him a truckload of it at the White House, maybe there's something nice to send Hoffman Estates. Cheese curds for everyone! read more

Yes I love the fries. The hamburgers are good too. The chicken fingers are delicious and I love their turtle ice cream yum. Some Culver's have excellent customer service and some OMG the Culver's pass woodfield the young kids don't have it together. They make so many errors and when you get your food to your table they let it fall from their hands and they say here. Like we are not animals you guys make the mistake and gave us the wrong order. This Culver's service was great! From the person taking our orders, to the person voluntarily bussing away our trays, this place must take a page from Chick-Fil-A's pleasurable service. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich, which is always moist and on-point, along with an order of chicken tenders. The chicken tenders are always cartilage-free, although at times, I did get a chewy skin in it. But meh, still better than cartilage. The strawberry concrete mixer was great, and best of all, they have light sugar-free lemonade! You don't know, but its hard to find some good diet lemonade, besides Chick-Fil-A, so when you find one, you find one. Crinkle fries is better than straight fries and butter buns are always tasty. The dining area was rather spacious, so if you're into socially distancing, this place is the way to go. Interestingly, I didn't see any outdoor seating area. Let me start off my saying that i love culvers. But this specific culvers...SUCKS. Every time i come here, they either screw up my order, or it takes longer than the next ice age to get my food, or BOTH, and the brains of their employees are slower than their service! Today i go and order a crispy chicken basket with cheese. I had to ask them 3 times to make it the basket. When i got my food, the runner asks me to open up the bag and go through it and make sure its mine, which is just nasty. Then i get home and open it up and guess what? They forgot the cheese that they for some reason needed to charge me $0.50 extra for! And if that isnt enough, they also gave me the wrong drink! Great food! Great service! Every time I come to Culver's I am impressed with the training the employees must have received. The people here are so polite , cheerful and courteous. I usually order from my car and am continually impressed by the great attitude and service. Kudos to the management and staff! That said... I think their butter burgers are crisp and tasty! For a fast food joint, Culver's is definitely the best and unique place out of everything else. Their butter burgers have amazingly soft and plush buns, very buttery and heartwarming. Their cheese fries are amazing too and my mother loves eating them and craves them time to time. The service is great and fast. Takes around 2-3 minutes to receive your food. Ambience is basic but not unpleasant. Besides that, if you plan to work here, the pay is very good, and has good benefits as well. Food is great and fresh most of the time. We come here every 2 weeks or so like clockwork. Currently I consider their Culver's Deluxe Cheeseburger the best burger around- no kidding- ALWAYS perfectly grilled, crunchy sear, juicy inside. Fish dinner PERFECT, Fish Sandwitch PERFECT, Ruebin, PERFECT, and I like their fries, and generally I don't like anyone's fries. Food comes fast sitting down or driving through. We have been doing this for maybe 20 years- or at least since they opened, so if I see any negative reviews about this place, frankly I don't get it. Makes me wonder about other negative reviews for other places- fake news? Everyone makes a mistake now and then, but have not seen any deal breakers here. For my money, if you can't get well above service here, you can't get it anywhere. Coming here, I never have to worry about freshness, good cooking or the employess. I have a lot of stuff to worry about, but I NEVER worry about coming here! To flip some of the goofy reviews I see on the web, I would give this place SEVEN Stars if I could! I've had to cut out gluten not due to having Celiac, but because I'm pregnant and have a genetic issue where I can't fully process folic acid (conventional flours are enriched with folic acid). So, I'm new to eating gluten-free. I went through the drive thru and ordered a Butterburger with a gluten-free bun. I then inquired about the fries, since I was unsure of the fryer situation at Culver's. "Do you have fries that are gluten-free?" "I'm not sure, so I'm not going to say yes or no." "...sooo, is there someone you can ask? Or do you have printed nutrition information anywhere?" When I got up to the window to pay for my Butterburger, I asked if they had any printed nutrition information for their fries. The girl at the window said, "Sure.." when another female worker popped her head in the window and told me that they fry cheese curds in the same fryer as the fries. The girl was clearly pretty annoyed with me. She could have said that two minutes earlier when I asked; however, it's more likely she just doesn't know what allergens are in what. Still, she could have approached it differently: both by offering the nutrition information they're supposed to have, and by being more friendly and helpful. Maybe I should have asked if they have a fryer dedicated to ONLY fries? gah. So, my experience could have been better. I went here today for a quick bite to eat for lunch. I usually get chicken fingers, fries and a milkshake but today opted for something a bit different-a mushroom & swiss burger. I was surprised I had to wait 5 minutes in the drive through for it when I was the only car but I realize that's just how Culver's rolls. It's not super fast food like McDonald's. Came here to dine-in as the drive thru takes for ever .. not sure why it's called a drive thru when they make up wait additional 10-15 minutes for your food. First time at this location. Visited the drive through and they were super busy and efficient. My order and money were taken fast and then I was given a number and all of the cars waited in line for their orders. We waited about 5 minutes which isn't bad. This is the "curderburger" I was given. It's a double cheese burger. The cashier did not tell me they were sold out by 2:30pm. Rather gave me this. When I called the manager, she first explained what a curderburger was, and was confused when we said there were two pieces of cheese. Then she told me they were sold out by 2:30 and I came at 3:30pm. She also told me that the cashier couldn't understand. In any case all the manager kept saying she was sorry. She had no resolution. She also said I could go to any Culver's I want. I've been going to this Culver's for over 12 years, and I have no plan to return anytime soon. Came here with my son before fourth of July. We live very close so we just walked and decided to try Culver's for lunch. Got the butterburger along with fries and drink and I have a coupon so I used that too, I got the spicy chicken burger for my husband to-go. My burger is really good and my fries is newly cooked. My to-go bag already has ketchup on it, I didn't have to ask. Exterior and interior is clean. Employees and their service is good but one stood out for me. As me and my son we're leaving, Kourtney made sure to hold the doors for us as I was pushing my son on a stroller and it was a little difficult for the doors are a little heavy.
