    Dessert time with the Family

Love the service here. Olivia provides the best customer service always. Super nice and patient during our ordering. Food is amazing and fresh. Today was a super busy day, even then people were taken care of in an expedient manner. Ambiance is friendly. Love coming here as well due to the gluten friendly options. Thank you for the great service.

A bit of it all - Jumbo Shrimp, Cod, FFs, Onion Rings, and Slaw
    Fred B.

I decided to try the seafood here - North Atlantic Cod (3 pieceswith Fries and Slaw) and Fried Jumbo Shrimp (10 shrimp with Onion Rings and Slaw). The shrimp were pretty good though some additional seasonings would help. The onion rings were narrow and there was little real onion to deal with. The cod was also pretty good but was also under seasoned, salt & pepper and hot sauce helped some. The fries were simply ridged The slaw was rich and creamy, helped to fill out the holes in the two entrees. The tartar sauce needs some serious reworking. A good number of food sites and "influencers" feel the seafood here is among the best of the national chains. I did not find it so, rather it was just ordinary! At these prices, I will move on.

I wanted a burger and stopped in today for lunch. I didn't review the menu ahead of time so I created my own single burger with some upgrades and made it a basket. Total was $10 something which is reasonable. Got a number and found a table-the dining room was clean and had music playing. My food was delish! I wish the fries had seasoning and maybe that's an option-I just don't know about it. Will definitely stop in and try more things!

    Cheese burger and fries

I came here for the first time with my whole family on a Sunday afternoon. I've heard about Culvers and was looking forward to trying the food. At first blush, this menu and layout of this restaurant reminds of another local chain. It's a modern take on a burger joint without being too much of a fast food place. We ordered and the girl taking the order was training. Both she and the guy training her were super nice. Ordering went flawlessly. There were five people in the party, but I didn't try everything. I ordered a bacon cheese burger and onion rings. The onion rings were really-really good. That's saying a lot for this to be a chain. They have a great flavor and were cooked well. The burger was alright. Not mind-blowing, but not bad. slightly above average. I did get the dad-tax on some fries and they were good as well. There were no complaints. Why not 5-stars? The burger was not a 5-star burger. Pretty good, but not amazing. There was some minor cleaning to be done around our table. I've seen far worse. That being said, I'd definitely come back.

Walleye dinner with steamed broccoli & mashed potatoes

It's decent for a quick service restaurant. I've given Culver's a try many times & it's always underwhelming to me yet there are those who love Culver's. Service is always excellent. This location was clean and well. When I saw that they had walleye on the menu, I had to give it a try. I ordered the dinner. The portion size was very generous with 2 large pieces of fish. I also liked that I can substitute the usual fries & slaw for broccoli & mashed potatoes. The fish itself tasted like frozen fish (....honestly what else should I have expected) & wasn't very flavorful. This pretty much sums up every single experience I've had with Culver's.

Salad, mushroom Swiss burger, fries, onion rings and cheese curds

This place was baaaaangin'!!! Everything from here was awesome. We got an assortment of things just so we could explore the menu and get a feel for it all. Their butter burgers are out of this world, they are made smash burger style and packed with flavor. Fries and onion rings were crispy and fresh, and right out of the fryer. Salad was fresh and all veggies had a nice crunch! Lots of options for dressings too! And let me tell you, those yummy little cheese curds!! Woohoo!! Loved this place. Ambiance was lovely, super clean inside and had an abundance of booths seating options. Service was quick and friendly.

After much eager waiting for the lines to calm down enough so we could try Culver's we finally made it here! My husband showed amazing restraint by not buying any of their ice cream products because we had a house packed with sweets from our Yelp elite event at Cupcake cuties (which is amazing!) He didn't show any restraint at all with the savory menu though and bought pretty much everything. We got the icnoic butter burger, a deluxe burger, a mushroom and swiss burger, a sourdough patty melt, a spicy and regular chicken sandwich and pretzel bites with cheese sauce, fries, onion rings and cheese curds! Holy cow, it was a lot of food. After trying all of these items I hate to report that my feelings are pretty meh about most of it. The side items were the best thing in my book, the cheese curds were a unique thing and I appreciate something new, the onion rings were pretty exceptional for fast food onion rings, the fries looked pretty disappointing being pale crinkle cut fries but they were actually perfectly crisp and well seasoned. Pretzel bites don't do much for me in general but yep, it was a pretzel. The sandwiches, which is what this place is all about, is where they really disappointed. All of the burgers had a consistent them- bland and dry. They definitely did not season these on the grill and the smash burger style patty didn't work here, instead of crispy fried edges it was just bone dry. The deluxe burger, topped with lettuce and tomato and cheese was the one I stuck with because the moisture from the veggies was essential. The chicken sandwiches were just throw away items in my book- they're there for if someone in your party doesn't want a burger but they are really basic and the chicken was not particularly good quality. All of the sandwiches either had no condiments or were really cheaply dressed- I give the sandwiches, the big draw here, a big "meh."

    Cashew Salad with grilled chicken
    Susie G.

I usually get a burger but today I got the Cashew Salad with grilled chicken - chicken was nicely seasoned and cooked and there were lots of cashews. Very filling - I didn't finish it and I still didn't have room for their yummy custard. I enjoy the food here, service tends to be a bit slow, dining area feels cluttered and could be little cleaner.

    Chopped steak dinner
    Krisdena R.

If you haven't been, you don't know what you're missing! Butter burgers, pork tenderloin, fried shrimp, chopped steak, and other homestyle favorites. Chopped steak is basically an oversized burger smothered in onions, mushrooms and gravy. Broccoli was perfectly steamed with a slight crunch.

Food is good. Drive thru wait is ridiculously long. I'm sure they are understaffed like most restaurants. Is it worth the wait? Yes.

I finally found one that hit the mark on both Service and Food. I have to give a huge shoutout to Aaron! He took the order as we went through the drive thru and he made sure everything was right when we got to the window. He had a great personality and did a great job. He gave us options on things we asked. When I asked for Ketchup he gave me regular and said "try this it's our spicy ketchup" We ordered onion rings and he gave another sauce and said, "this is our favorite that most people love" Hope Aaron is a sign of this Whataburger doing things right. The teenage order taker came out from the kitchen area and just looked at me. I finally said "hey, how are you doing". He didn't really respond so I just placed my order. To say he was disinterested is being kind. I got my napkins and filled my drink. The condiment section was lacking salt, so I just went to my table. When the food was brought to me, the employee offered me two kinds of ketchup. Her tray did not have any salt on it either, so I had to ask her to bring some, which she did. Very perfunctory. The burger and fries were just barely warm. The fries tasted fine, but we're nothing to get excited about. The burger patties were thin, dry, and insipid. The toppings were just average. Again, the burger was on the wrong side of warm and did not taste fresh at all. There's just not much positive to say about my experience here this evening. WHATABURGER? Try WHATADISAPPOINTMENT.

The menu is primarily hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, NC style BBQ, and of course, milk shakes. Until recently there were no spots that had any inside seating, but this is gradually changing. They are known for the small building with drive thru lanes on both sides, and this plus the congestion surrounding many of their locations can make getting in and out a challenge, though this one in not as bad as many! The burgers and chicken sandwiches here are far superior to the offerings of any national chain l, with the possible exception of a properly staffed and operating Culver's - the one in Winston is not one of those, the one in Kernersville most certainly is. The number of locals spots that rival the offerings here is very small. I ordered each of my favorite items here - Bacon Cheeseburger and the Crispy, Spicy Fried Chicken Sandwich. The time in line here are generally a bit longer than the larger chains, but still around 10 minutes. The burger was excellent and well sized as alway, these folks just know how to make a great burger. And the crispy, spicy chicken sandwich is as good as anyone's, including the cult one at Popeyes! Only the BYO at Bad Daddy's is possibly a bit better, and definitely is bigger! I have found the food at Cook Out locations to be consistently excellent with very few bad experiences. I walked in to a packed restaurant with a line almost out the door. The young lady at the counter tells me before I order there is a 30-40 minute wait on the food and while that sounds ridiculous, I drove all the way from Asheboro for one of their burgers because I already know it's worth the wait. No problem! The place is right off the main road and there's plenty of parking with additional parking in the rear. The inside appearance is that of a burger joint. Not too fancy but clean. I ordered the Jr. Cheeseburger with extra cheese, pickles, lettuce, tomato, mustard and mayo, a Hot Dog all the way, Seasoned fries and a Sweet Tea. Their burgers are served hot and are cooked until the edges are "lacy" and crispy with just the right amount of seasoning. They use potato buns and they and are so fresh and grilled on one side which gives the burger additional good flavor. The fries are cooked perfectly, served hot and lightly seasoned. And you can get some of their homemade ranch to dip them in. I know they are known for their burgers but they also have AWESOME Hot Dogs! The weiner is grilled and again, the bun is grilled on one side, just makes your tongue all kind of happy. I ordered my hot dog "All the Way" aka "Carolina Style". The chili was good, the white slaw was fresh and light, onions added a hint of sweetness, and the mustard ties all of the flavors together in a well made, high quality hot dog. They also have really good sweet tea. Nicks has the BEST burgers and hot dogs in the Triangle area and I highly recommend but get there as soon as they open or you may find yourself waiting in line. But do go.

The melted cheese was dripping over the sides, the bun was soft and fresh, and every bite just kept getting better. The fries deserved their own round of applause. Crispy, perfectly seasoned, and so addictive I kept telling myself, "Just one more"... about 30 fries ago. I don't know what kind of magic they're working back there, but they absolutely nailed it. This wasn't one of those burgers you eat because you're hungry--this was the kind you eat in complete silence because you're too busy enjoying every bite. On top of the amazing food, the service was just as impressive. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and made the whole experience even better. They also have covered outdoor picnic tables with fans running overhead, which was a really nice touch. It made sitting outside comfortable even on a warm day and gave the place a relaxed, laid-back atmosphere. Safe to say this place has officially ruined mediocre burgers for me. I'll definitely be back... and next time I might need two orders of fries because sharing isn't going to happen.
