This project was outside my usual area, so going in without any existing relationships was a bit of a concern--but Byron and his team delivered across the board. He coordinated everything seamlessly--concrete, pump, and even helped us out when my crew left tools behind in another town by quickly getting us what we needed on site. That level of responsiveness goes a long way when you're trying to keep a job moving. Super easy to communicate with, quick response times, and overall just a great team player. If I could give six stars, I would. I really wish his company was closer to where we typically work--I'd use him every single time. Also, for context--most of the reviews I saw were from homeowners. As a contractor, I'll say this: when you're coordinating a larger pour, it makes a big difference working with a true professional. Connie was one of five landscapers that we scheduled for estimates for our backyard when we moved to Brentwood in March. I had done a lot of research on NextDoor trying to find only top notch people to contact because, let's be honest, the estimate process alone is painful/time-consuming for both the business owner and the homeowner so we only wanted talk to the best; Connie came highly recommended. After having a "contractor" make a horrific error in our backyard, we were feeling extremely vulnerable and needed someone we could trust to not only help us fix the mistake that was already made, but also make our dream backyard come to life with our budget in mind. I admit that it did take Connie longer than others to get back to me initially, however, when she came to our house to look at our yard and give us some ideas, she spent way more time with us than anyone else had. She also was the ONLY person to provide us with a landscaping plan drawn out on paper and a scope of work that broke down the individual costs by category (irrigation, drainage, concrete, retaining wall, foliage, etc) versus a singular total cost of $X for this project. To me, this demonstrates honesty and integrity because we were able to clearly see what we were being charged for each item and adjust them if we felt necessary. Like I said, our project isn't finished yet, but her crew has been wonderful thus far. They are polite and work so incredibly hard! It's been high-90s to low-100s for the last week and a half and they've been busting their butts every day in the sweltering heat to get our yard done. Each time I come home, I get so excited to see how much our yard has progressed and I'm certainly going to give a Yelp update once it's done! Connie is a busy, busy woman, but I assure you she's worth her weight in gold. I guess from now on, if there's anything wrong with the lawn, I have to call his attention right away so the problem gets fixed right away. Alvaro has also been checking the sprinklers periodically to make sure that the grass gets watered evenly. I'm going to change Alvaro's rating to 5 stars for the effort he made to revive my lawn and keep monitoring that yard is maintained properly.
