I've been coming here for a couple years now and every time it's fantastic. The service is great, the drinks are killer and the food is so flavorful. If you're debating coming here just do it.

Cunard's Sandbar is just a wonderful classic restaurant. We have been going for several years now. We just need to go more often. Everything on the menu is always fantastic. The ambience is great. The service was outstanding. We went this evening, 5-27-2026. Thank you Sirenna for a great dining experience. Todd R.

A must try is a dirty gin martini with blue cheese stuffed olives!

Service and Drinks are solid. Calamari for a starter is above average. Atmosphere is clean, comfortable and a bit of a time warp back to ole Palm Springs! My wife and I went for drinks and dinner but had such a pleasant experience at the bar that we stayed put and had martinis and calamari while the piano man played the hits. Valet parking up front. Public parking is across the street. Come see why the locals call this place home.

I've lived in the desert since 2011, and this was literally my second time at The Sandbar. The food is amazing, and the live music by Bill Baker is super fun! But nothing tops the service from Valarie! She is amazing! She's extremely easy on the eyes and wonderfully friendly! Especially when she nicknames you "princess"! ‍ Sandbar in Old Town La Quinta is definitely on the rotation.

Had salmon there last night and it came out looking like salmon jerky. Overcooked the entire meal. Definitely not going back.

From the moment we entered the restaurant the hostess was so accommodating and polite. Food came out timely and was so good! When it came time for dessert all I wanted was my gluten free brownie. Bruce and Ryan both triple checked after finding out they were out and were able to find one more and made sure it got dropped off at the table . This truly made my night and probably the rest of the month they were so kind and I would definitely be coming back based on the service this evening. As a team they truly do go above and beyond . Service was good- Pizza was the star of the show. We ordered the personal pizza on the lunch menu and it was plenty big. Thin crust with fresh toppings. 2 are included on the lunch special. My friend was disappointed in the roast beef sandwich since it was cold. My ahi tuna salad was nicely presented...heads up-it comes with lots of bean sprouts...the chopped cobb salad was super tasty and fresh...we all were raving about this gem.

Golf here is great being a local as is the Grill. YELP SHORT ANSWER: Yes, you are welcome at our very nice Grill space. LOCATION: The Grill is not the fanciest but it is very nice with a little patina here and there. We don't need fancy and everything that comes with it. At some point in time, this will all be a very fancy destination resort with resort pricing. Until then, we love it at Silver Rock. FACILITY: Older but functional. Outdoor seating is awesome. MENU: It is a golf club menu but trust me, it is all very good. FOOD PREP: Excellent but not overdone, I'd say perfect. FOOD QUALITY: Has always been way better than other fancy nearby clubs who offer way overpriced items that don't taste expensive but are.. LIBATIONS: This is our spot, on the deck, feet up, enjoying breakfast or the sun setting behind the mountains. WAITSTAFF: HELLO - HELLO these people are a collection of the greatest happy people ever to have worked in a restaurant grill like this. They remember us and are always super nice even on busy golf days. I hope they are appreciated in their paychecks and not just on tips... OVERALL VALUE: Very good. TIP: The sum of all parts here is amazing. See it for what it is today and what it will become. Love this place!

Unfortunately, the experience didn't improve much after we were seated. It took a while for anyone to greet us or even bring us water. When the bread finally arrived, there weren't any plates, and because it took so long for someone to return for our drink order, we had already decided what we wanted to eat. The food came out fairly quickly after we ordered. The salads were good, and both the baked potato and mac and cheese were delicious. The steaks, however, were just okay. The biggest disappointment was the lobster tail, which I had been looking forward to the most. It was cold, chewy, and came with cold butter. Definitely not what you'd expect from a steakhouse. One thing that really left a bad impression was the closing routine. We arrived about two hours before closing, so it's not like we came in at the last minute. About 20 minutes before closing, the staff started vacuuming around the dining room while we were still finishing our meal. I understand everyone wants to get home, but vacuuming while guests are still eating is unprofessional and really took away from the experience. Overall, there were a few good dishes, but between the slow service, disappointing lobster, and being rushed out by staff cleaning, this isn't a place we'll be returning.
