Out of courtesy to other neighbors We should be informed when you're doing work in the area . I work midnights, and I wasn't informed because I don't talk to my neighbor. She's not a friendly person. She hasn't spoken to me since the day I moved in. But at least a sticker around the door, letting me know that your man would be here all day ! They were recommended by the contractor who was going to install my liner. They came and cleaned out the chimney. They were able to fit me in quickly since I had no heat. They had to open the flue, which probably hadn't been open in 70 years. Well when they were done, not only did I have a clean chimney there was not one speck of dirt in my house. The technicians were efficient, friendly & neat. I ended up having to call them again, since after they cleaned the chimney, the installation of the liner proved to be a bit more difficult than the original contractor anticipated. So they came to my rescue. The techs were fully knowledgeable about my unique situation and were able to get the liner in. Once again The technicians were efficient, friendly & neat. Our phone messages were returned very quickly, the office staff scheduled the visit for an estimate and the workers were very punctual and professional. The company called the following day and we accepted the estimated cost. Once scheduled, everything went smoothly. All the work we expected was completed and on time. They scheduled my appointment at 7am so I wouldn't be late for work, did a complete inspection and gave us a clean bill of health. I hired Cunningham after another company located in Long Beach failed to clear a vent clog after 2 visits. The drum of my dryer was filling up with steam and water was collecting at the point where the duct that leaves the back of the machine meets the wall connection. The first company continued to attribute the problem to a defective brand new dryer, even though the problem persisted with a 2nd new dryer that PC Richards was nice enough to offer me in exchange. I called Cunningham and they accommodated me by scheduling a 9am appt. The technicians called me when they were about 30 minutes away and arrived on time. As soon as I described what was happening, they knew the exact problem and successfully corrected it. My duct work goes straight up and then bends to the right and again left. The first company, instead of using a vacuum at that point, kept pushing more and more debris against the bend with their brushes making the clog bigger and bigger. At the same time, the back up of steam from the drum made it a wet mess. Because of this, Cunningham had to make a hole in my ceiling to remove the clogged and damaged vent as the soggy mess of debris could not be brushed or vacuumed. The team from Cunningham worked neatly and thoroughly. They were highly skilled and professional. I wish I could give the company 6 stars! read more

I am a very detailed oriented person, and relatively handy too in the home. I am a licensed Certified Public Accountant and have been practicing for decades. I ask a lot of questions when needed, and listen to the answers very carefully. More importantly, when doing work in the home, I know the limit of what I can do myself and when it's time to hire a professional. I found Cunningham Duct Cleaning through my internet search, the reviews, and had them come for a proposal. Being a third generation company around for over 50 years was very noteworthy for me. I had a list of potential projects that included duct cleaning and possibly replacement, inspecting my chimney, and my dryer venting. Armando, the project manager, came for the proposal. He's been with Cunningham a little less than 20 years, and is extremely knowledgeable and truly cares about his work. The proposal was reasonably priced based upon the work. After I hired them for the jobs, Armando was here for the entire time, with a team of up to 3 additional workers. He and the team were very neat, knowledgeable, were very careful moving around the house, and did a terrific job with everything discussed above. Most of my AC and heating ducts were over 25 years old, and I don't think they were ever cleaned properly. I decided to replace them, with better insulation and with a higher quality instead of just cleaning them. That included the chimney lining too. It's only the air that we breathe that travels through them. Armando and the company's office was also very professional in going over the proposal and working with me. They and Armando were all very responsive to my phone calls and emails. I have already recommended them highly to several neighbors and friends.
