The food was outstanding. We ordered lots of food to try it all. The Kao Soi is outstanding. It has a rich broth with lots of flavor. The noodles just add to the dish and the chicken is so tender. I don't like coconut and my wife and I loved this. The steamed dumplings were the best. They had great flavor and tasted great. The staff members were very courteous and attentive. The advice I've been given by my Thai friends is to try a Thai restaurant first by choosing their Phad Thai. So on my first visit to Thai 208 I ordered the Phad Thai. It was very good. I knocked it down one star because I ordered it very spicy and it was not very spicy to my taste. But the flavors were there and I definitely enjoyed my meal. When I ordered it I told the server that I liked Hot Spicy food and would not complain if it was too hot. I hoped it would make a point. But it didn't. The portion size was large enough I could not eat the entire meal so I took some home. When my spouse tried it he said it was not hot to him at all which means the spice does not last. When thai hot peppers are used...they don't lose their spiciness so quickly. This said...I do plan to return and order something else. They passed the Phad Thai test. To give the chefs credit, it takes 16 or more ingredients to make a good Phad Thai. So cudos to the chef! I have posted the menu so people can see what other food items are offered. They do have a large menu and I'm hoping I can work my way through the menu. read more

The food here is what brought us back.....however the food never came. We came in and were asked to sit where we want, after 16 minutes (of tracking the clock may be a bit more) of sitting in front of the server we were never talked to again. The servers helped 4 tables, bussed 3 tables, took 2 take out orders, and sat 2 more tables. Neither server talked to us again. After waiting 16 minute we decided to leave and they looked shocked that we were leaving. I don't know if they just can't handle 6 tables at once but it's extremely disappointing when I'm trying to show some friend how good their food is. This is the very best Thai I've had outside of Thailand. This may seem like a very large claim, but it's true. The food was made with the most fresh ingredients and you could taste that in every bite. The service was incredibly friendly and professional- they even recognised us when we came back in the next time! The ambiance is bright, clean, and incredibly well put-together. Went here with friends on a busy night. Service was good though my Pad Thai took a lot longer than my friends' dishes and sadly not worth the wait. I don't know if it was an off night, but it was very, very sweet. My friends tried mine and pulled faces at the surprise level of sugar. I didn't even take home leftovers -- rare when I eat Thai! Review of restaurant, not food truck. This restaurant is newer so some kinks are to be expected. The food was great. I had the pad Thai, shrimp tempura and fried dumplings. Everything was very tasty & the spice in the pad Thai was great. I got a 3/5 and it had the perfect amount of heat. A 3 in other Thai restaurants in town are not as spicy as theirs. The service, however, was lacking. There were two main servers on the floor. Our main one from the get go took our drink orders in a timely manner, but we had to ask for our Dr Peppers 3 times from multiple people because everyone seemed to forget them. We told our waitress we needed some time to decide on food, then like 30 seconds later, the other server comes and asks us if we're ready to order. we felt a little rushed so we placed our order with our main waitress and the food took a bit to come out, but we enjoyed appetizers while we waited. Before our dinner came out, the other waiter cleared our appetizers and asked if we were ready for our check. Ummm not yet as we haven't gotten our food yet, he replied, "oh you're still waiting??" Yep lol. I ordered a side of peanut sauce with my dish, which was forgotten, but I just let it be. We had to clarify with our waitress which food went on which check like 3 times. We enjoyed our food and maybe just went on an off night. The service was sub par and the two servers were not on the same page and very forgetful. Regardless, we'll be back to try again. read more

Flavorful food at a good price! The broth for the duck noodles is fantastic, and I'd get their pad Thai and yellow curry any day.

This was our second time there, and I enjoyed it much more! The little service issues seem to be figured out, all the staff was very helpful and they had 4 servers for about 10 tables. Felt like we were well taken care of but not pestered with too many table checks. I got the Pad Thai this visit and I loved it. It was less sweet than most pad thais I've had, and it had a sort of smokey pepper flavor that I really enjoyed. Once again, the portions were very impressive. We'll be back again for sure read more

So good! We saw this truck while getting Reed's across the street and wanted to check it out. We got fried spring rolls, pad see ew, pad thai, green curry, and tom ka. I loved all of it! Thaidaho rivals our favorite Thai restaurant back home (out of state) for sure. The only thing I didn't love was the sauce to dip the spring rolls in, and the tom kha had sooo many mushrooms (but flavor was on point). We will be back again and again . We first stopped here 1/22/21 and liked it so much we went back on the 29th. The best cream cheese wontons we have ever had, including from a 5-star Chinese restaurant in Denver! First time the husband had a delicious red curry and my beef noodles had a savory, garlicky, rich broth. The beef was a little tough, but the flavor made up for it. It was even better the next day! Second time of course we had wontons, and the husband had the green curry. Delicious, but we both preferred the red. I had the cashew nut stir fry. It came with rice and perfectly cooked chicken and veggies in a slightly spicy sauce. Wonder what we will get next week other than more wontons?!?! read more

Today I stood out in the cold, trying to get their attention to buy some food -- no luck. I left and brought my money to my favorite taco truck instead. Have ordered from this truck a couple times since starting a new job in Idaho Falls. New-ish food truck across the street from Reed's Dairy on the west side of town. Order at the window and they give you a buzzer to take to the car so you don't have to stand out in the cold. Normal wait time has been around 10 minutes in my experience. Their Tom Kha Soup is probably the best I have ever eaten over the years, however, their noodle dishes unfortunately have been lackluster in comparison. Have tried the Pad See Ew and Pad Thai so far. The noodles are not the traditional noodles for these dishes, especially the Pad See Ew. It's supposed to be a wide and thick noodle but it was served with a small and thin one instead. Noodle shape and size are traditionally paired with the sauce but it appears the same noodle is being used in all their dishes regardless of the sauce. Also, the sauce itself is too thin and should be cooked down a little. The sauce has a hard time adhering to the noodles and most of it will be at the bottom of your to-go box once you've finished the meal. read more
