So excited about this new place in Idaho Falls. They used to be a food truck and now they have a restaurant. You order at the counter and then sit at a table. They'll bring you your food when it's ready. The lady taking our order was very helpful and kind answering any of our questions and helping us curate our order - educating us on the menu items, as needed. I ordered the Daeji Bulgogi (I Iike bolder, spicy flavors), with Kimchi and Japchae Noodles on the side. My spouse chose the traditional Bulgogi option with Radish Kimchi and the Japchae Noodles. Both were amazing! Our 4yo daughter shared each of our dishes with us and loved them too. The portion sizes were good, even the protein (an important aspect often lacking these days, if you know what I mean). I will definitely come back, and often. I could see myself eating here weekly! I'm excited to try the bibimbap next - looks outstanding. The restaurant was very clean and we enjoyed the wall murals. The bathrooms were nice and clean also. First off, it's locally owned, spotless, and the kind of clean where you look around and think, "Wow... my kitchen could never." Second, the food? Unreal. I ordered the mandu and the bibimbap (I'm a sucker for bibimbap). Mandu was ordered with spicy sauce and it was a tiny bit spicy, I would have been happier with more spice so I was glad they supplied gochujang on the side. Bibimbap had an overeasy egg on top as promised and was good--didn't blow my mind but it was good. Both the young man we ordered from and man who I am assume is the owner or manager were great! The man who took our orders quickly gave recommendations and the owner came to check on us to make sure we were enjoying the meal. The restaurant is modern and you order first then seat yourself. Coming from out of town, my brother and I spotted Porky Korean out of the corner of our eye. We snuck in just before the 2:30 PM closing time for lunch. They open up again for dinner at 4:30 PM. I live in Hawaii, and my brother lived in Korea for years. So I believe we both knew what flavor we were looking for when we came through the door. I thought it was going to be more of a sitdown restaurant type, but it is more like a fast casual food joint. I was looking for something low-carb and ask them if they could do exchanges for Rice. The owners were more than happy to oblige with a tasty Korean cabbage base. So I ordered bulgogi with cucumber kimchi and bean sprouts. My brother ordered the Bibimbop and a Milkis, a popular Korean drink. The food came out very quickly. And smelled delicious. And we both have to admit that the flavor did not disappoint. After my brother took about two bites of his bibimbop the owner came out and handed him some original gochujang, a spicy Korean sauce. My brother didn't order it, but the owner saw how my brother was eating his bibimbop (mixing it) and offered it for free. Everything went down very easily, and if I lived here, I guarantee I would be making many future trips back here to Porky Korean. They have really nice clean restrooms as well. Calling all IF foodies! Don't sleep on The Porky Korean. Interestingly enough, all of my favorite food spots in Idaho Falls happen to be food trucks. The Porky Korean is no different. Pro tip: follow them on Facebook for weekend special items :) This weekend was tteokbokki. Everything I tried had great flavor. The Galbi plate looked small but it was ridiculously filling, I actually turned it into two separate meals. The galbi was marinated perfectly. I do, however, wish the kim chee was a little more spicy. The mandu was good as well. I liked that they were filled with sweet potato noodles. I requested the spicy house sauce on the side (you can choose spicy or mild) & I'm glad I did. I actually liked the mandu without the extra sauce. The kim chee fried rice was delicious. I haven't had the full menu yet, but today's sampling of potstickers and Korean Tacos was great! I wish the potstickers had been steamed before they hit the grill, as there is room for improvement, but the Tacos......daaayyyuuum! Straight fire! My wife and I visited the Porky Korean in their new restaurant location on Hitt. We are new to all the Korean style foods, and had never visited their previous food truck. The owner was very gracious and described all the menu items to us. They all sounded delicious, and we decided to split a Bahn Mi sandwich. Having lived in Atlanta for numerous years we fell in love with Korean food and a few Korean fusion places, so when I heard there was a Korean food truck in IF I was obligated to give it a try. Anyway, the truck is parked behind Sportsman's Warehouse in a parking lot near Hillcrest High School. The owners were super friendly and patient with us as we were trying to decide what to order. They had run out of the Bulgogi so I ended up ordering the Daeji with the rolled egg (served cold) on the side, and plus a side of Mandu. My wife and mother ordered the Bibimpop. The meal was great relatively speaking given it's the only Korean joint for miles and miles, however, it wasn't quite up to snuff to the Korean eateries we used to frequent. I've also visited South Korea and found their food offerings (especially the street food vendors) to be very broad so it would be great to see a few more menu options, including more sides like Tteokbokki, Gyeran-Ppang, or Soondae. It would also be awesome if they had some iconic Korean beverages like Chilsung or Binggrae as they would enjoyed widely across most American palettes. read more

This is my favorite place to eat in town. I was hooked the first time I had their Bulgogi. I've tried everything on their menu including all their specials. We typically get Bulgogi, Daeji Bulgogi, the current weeks special, Mandu, and Kimchi fried rice but I haven't had anything I don't like. Anything with the Daeji Bulgogi has some spice to it but it's not bad. They have sauces with some serious heat for those that can handle it. Make sure you check the "The Porky Korean Food Truck" Facebook page, the hours vary sometimes. They sell out often so don't take too late a lunch and miss out. read more

Tried this on a chilly winter day and it warmed me right up! Service was super quick and they kindly let me wait in my car while they prepared it so I didn't have to wait in the wind. I ordered the mandu and the bibimbop with bulgogi beef, both mild on the sauces. The mandu was a perfect appetizer size, loved the sear bottom of the potstickers and tons of flavor in the filling. The bibimbop was so filling and colorful! Ordered with a runny egg (only way to go!) and all of the flavors worked so well together. The pickled vegetables were a must in this, including the kimchi.
