I love Korean food, and having lived in South Korea for over a year I know what good Korean food tastes like. The Porky Korean definitely hits the mark. The kimchi, both regular and cucumber were made right and very good. The Daeji bulgogi had just the right amount of spice and took me back to the wonderful fragrances of Korean street food. Definitely a place you want to try if you like Korean food, without a doubt.

So excited about this new place in Idaho Falls. They used to be a food truck and now they have a restaurant. You order at the counter and then sit at a table. They'll bring you your food when it's ready. The lady taking our order was very helpful and kind answering any of our questions and helping us curate our order - educating us on the menu items, as needed. I ordered the Daeji Bulgogi (I Iike bolder, spicy flavors), with Kimchi and Japchae Noodles on the side. My spouse chose the traditional Bulgogi option with Radish Kimchi and the Japchae Noodles. Both were amazing! Our 4yo daughter shared each of our dishes with us and loved them too. The portion sizes were good, even the protein (an important aspect often lacking these days, if you know what I mean). I will definitely come back, and often. I could see myself eating here weekly! I'm excited to try the bibimbap next - looks outstanding. The restaurant was very clean and we enjoyed the wall murals. The bathrooms were nice and clean also. I appreciate some of these newer restaurants coming with the "facelift" so many other more seasoned restaurants in town desperately need. If you haven't been yet, you have to try this place! Expand your horizons!

Hands down, Porky Korean is fire. I ordered the bulgogi bowl with kimchi rice and was completely caught off guard by how excellent the taste and quality were. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. My goal is to come back and try every item on the menu. The staff and owner were incredibly friendly, and I'm giving this place a well-deserved 5 stars!

We go there often and love their food! It's always a good day when we get some daeji bulgogi and the bahn mi or tacos!

Coming from out of town, my brother and I spotted Porky Korean out of the corner of our eye. We snuck in just before the 2:30 PM closing time for lunch. They open up again for dinner at 4:30 PM. I live in Hawaii, and my brother lived in Korea for years. So I believe we both knew what flavor we were looking for when we came through the door. I thought it was going to be more of a sitdown restaurant type, but it is more like a fast casual food joint. I was looking for something low-carb and ask them if they could do exchanges for Rice. The owners were more than happy to oblige with a tasty Korean cabbage base. So I ordered bulgogi with cucumber kimchi and bean sprouts. My brother ordered the Bibimbop and a Milkis, a popular Korean drink. The food came out very quickly. And smelled delicious. And we both have to admit that the flavor did not disappoint. After my brother took about two bites of his bibimbop the owner came out and handed him some original gochujang, a spicy Korean sauce. My brother didn't order it, but the owner saw how my brother was eating his bibimbop (mixing it) and offered it for free. Everything went down very easily, and if I lived here, I guarantee I would be making many future trips back here to Porky Korean. They have really nice clean restrooms as well. Always an important point to any review. Plenty of parking and wheelchair accessible. And a family owned business. They were previously a food truck for years the owner said.

Calling all IF foodies! Don't sleep on The Porky Korean. Interestingly enough, all of my favorite food spots in Idaho Falls happen to be food trucks. The Porky Korean is no different. Pro tip: follow them on Facebook for weekend special items :) This weekend was tteokbokki. Everything I tried had great flavor. The Galbi plate looked small but it was ridiculously filling, I actually turned it into two separate meals. The galbi was marinated perfectly. I do, however, wish the kim chee was a little more spicy. The mandu was good as well. I liked that they were filled with sweet potato noodles. I requested the spicy house sauce on the side (you can choose spicy or mild) & I'm glad I did. I actually liked the mandu without the extra sauce. The kim chee fried rice was delicious. We ended up adding our own fried egg to it. Overall, I highly recommend. Especially because the Korean options in this town are extremely limited...

So I decided I'd try this place out, and went to see if by chance they had an app. They do! It was so easy to navigate through and modify my salad order. I ordered the house salad which came with a grilled chicken filet (you can choose hand breaded) fresh greens, bacon, gouda cheese, tomatoes (I skipped the tomatoes), Fresno peppers (never had them and they were great!) and I replaced the Honey Mustard dressing with Jalapeno ranch. I added additional grilled chicken patty. Both patties were seasoned to perfection. It was absolutely amazing! My new go-to whenever I want a good salad in town. Oh! and to my surprise the app lets you know when your food is ready and (cherry on top) they have a drive up window. Score! Customer service was great. The young man who assisted me at the window was respectful and kind. I will definitely be back! PS I have no photo of my food because I was too focused on how tasty my meal was! Next time! Ha!

We stopped in with a local friend who knew the folks owning and working here and ordered tons of items for us to try. We didn't try a sushi roll unfortunately, but it's just bc we had ordered so much already! We tried the beet salad, the ribs (delicious but a bit spicy), the tempura veggies which were SO good and fresh and crispy and only lightly breaded, the broccolini, edamame and the dumplings. So we really had almost everything we could except sushi. All was great and my husband, who is a big fan of pork dumplings, loved these a lot. He raved about them all the rest of the night. For dessert - I was torn between a few things but went with the standard homemade chocolate cheesecake and it was delicious. The crust was a sort of coconut deliciousness that I especially loved. Service was great and the inside is small, but very classy. Highly recommend if you are a sushi fan. Believe the owner is from Hawaii so there is a Hawaiian influence to the food.

The service was great and pir waitress was kind. Although the noodles looked good, I wasn't sure I had a big enough appetite so I thought I would start with the Papaya Salad, amd if still hungry get noodles after. The Papaya Salad was huge! The spice was good, but the papaya was definitely not fresh. Everything in the salad was hard & raw amd slightly pickled. I ended up ordering a side of chicken to get some protein, which was a decent portion, but definitely boiled chicken. The BKK Noodles my husband ordered was a good portion but there were so few pieces of chicken they were gone in the first few bites. In addition the flavor was bland. It had the start of good flavor, but fell flat. In addition to the "fine" food, $30 for the noodles was insane! We have amazing thai at home all the time and it's nowhere near $30 for authentic & delicious noodles. We didn't try the other thai place in town, but if you're looking for good thai I think I would try someplace else.

I had heard of happy hour options, but when we looked at the menu, it seemed like that wasn't an option anymore. The food was delicious. I will say, similar to many places downtown, it was expensive. The dumplings were 15$ and came with four. I'd pass on these in the future. I also ordered and shared the BKK street noodles (22$ with no protein) and Mongolian beef (27$). I've seen other reviews that say the street noodles taste poorly, but that wasn't my experience. The noodles were not saucy via the "pad thai sauce", but the flavor was there and seemed somewhat authentic. The Mongolian beef though...was soooo good. That was definitely my favorite of the night, and I mixed it with some of the noodles for a yummy bite. The one negative was the service. Our waiter was not friendly and never came back. Though that was frustrating, I'd come back and try more if we're in the area again.
