Chicago dog, sport peppers on the side and a small fry
    Erin G.

I actually went in to get Red Panda but they were not serving at that time. They share a space with Cupid's. There has been a lot of debate about hot dogs lately in Orlando. I have been a long time fan of Hotdog Heaven and the now shuttered Chicago Dog restaurant in Altamonte. Growing up I loved chili cheese dogs from A&W and later learned to like the garden style toppings of a Chicago dog where ketchup is never a condiment for a dog. So I ordered a Chicago dog and fries. For the record Cupid's has very reasonable prices. Not Costco or Sam's cheap but also not $15. I got very good service when I ordered at the counter and my meal came out very quickly. This restaurant is large and the dining area was clean and comfortable. My hot dog had plentiful toppings, which I love, including the neon green relish and celery salt. I get the sport peppers on the side. The French fries order was a decent size portion and since the fries were made to order they were hot and crispy. A good deal and a contender in the Orlando hotdog scene but not my all time favorite. That would be the Chicago dogs I would buy from a cart when we rolled out of college bars as they were closing.

Whooooo boy this place was TASTY! My bf and I make it a habit of trying multiple hot dog places, and this little hole in the wall knocks every single one we've visited in Orlando out of the park. Tasty ingredients? Check! Inexpensive? Check! Clean location? Check! Customer service? TRIPLE CHECK!! The menu is easy to understand, simple, and you can watch your food being prepared. They have two sizes of hot dogs. 6 inch and 7 inch (not too much of a difference). Some of the best fries I've tasted (although I think they are the same ones I make at home lol), and you're helped as soon as you walk in. It was just my bf and I dining in, and there was spacious, comfortable chairs and benches, and we enjoyed our hot dogs, fries, and canned soda. Will be back soon!

    TO GO ORDER.

I enjoyed placing the online Order .Not only do they offer a world of different toppings to choose from they made it easy ! We had hard cravings for hotdogs so we Ordered the My way, The Ruben, The Triangle And the Slaw. Dispite all my add-ons they got ever Dog right. Perfect snap , fresh buns, beautiful presentation and friendly faces made my expirance on to remember. We will definitely be back.

You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. Hotdogs came out first, and the fries followed shortly after. Fries were done crispy per request. Dogs had a nice "snap" with each bite, which is always a plus. A meal comes with a dog, a drink, and fries for under $10 each. Good deal.

Promo $1 combo till April 23rd!

4 stars for some great hot dogs and different options! We heard all the buzz about this place on Bungalower and it was close to us so we had to check it out! They have a special going on until April 23rd when you order any hot dog you can make it a combo for $1, which includes fries and a large drink. The drink and fries are rather generous too! Normally the combo is an extra $3.75 with your hot dog, so I would definitely check them out before the promo is over if you wanna save a little! The Staff was super friendly and our food came out really quickly. There's plenty of inside seating if you want to dine in. All the walls are decorated with cute murals and old throw back art of Cupids! We ordered the Chicago Dog, $5.15 and the Slaw Dog, $4.75. I wished the Chicago Dog had a traditional sesame bun but it was good otherwise. They make the relish a neon color, good for some gram pics! All around good place if you're craving a hot dog, everyone who works there is friendly, food comes out quickly and great portions!

We came here when they first opened and there was a great deal for a combo meal. The area is very spacious and clean. Service was a little disorganised and slow but that's ok since they were finding their feet in the new establishment. Good portion of fries given with the combo deal. For the price we couldn't complain too much. Nothing too special about the hot dog or the bun. But you definitely get your monies with with their opening special price.

The location of this place leave much to be desired. It's off to the side of the road . I have passed it several time and questioned if was even open myself. But this time I decided to stop in. I was greeted at the counter by a really nice employee who explained the menu options. I went with the cupid dog . Which is a chill dog with onion and mustard. I decided to go with The combo came with fries and a can of soda. (They also offer fountain drinks as well)The chill dog was so good.if youre look for a hotdog at a good price I would recommend this place. I have been her once, but I will be back forsure.

3 of us for lunch. Counter person was super nice. The hot dogs and fries came out quickly. They were perfectly prepared. The chili was slightly spicy which was a real plus. FF's are not fresh cut but we're good and crispy. I enjoyed dipping them in the chili on my hot dog.

This is what they call a "cup" of chili. Maybe 3oz in a tiny condiment container.

This is my 2nd review. Went for a Chicago dog and cup off chili. Total was $9. My review is mainly for the chili (which tastes great). When they handed me the "cup" I asked if it was correct because it was so small. They checked and said it was correct. Now when ordering a cup of anything you would think it is a cup, or 8oz. No this was no more than 3oz in a tiny condiment container. Just a few spoonfuls. It cost almost $3. Now for only $1 I could have gotten chili added to my hotdog and it would have been the same amount. They told me that is how it is. It is much more worth it to take a nice drive down Colonial to Hotdog Heaven.

I have only two regrets about Cupid's number one they're not closer to my house and they're not closer to my house :-) this is my third visit and my friend and I had two chili dogs one of which we split and I had a Chicago dog with fries and a drink. The hotdogs were excellent beautifully prepared and tasted amazing. This is truly a gem. I'm concerned that they were not busier at lunch. I would encourage anyone who loves hotdogs to visit Cupid's. Staff was very helpful and pleasant. I can't say enough good things about this establishment. If I could give Cupid six stars I would.

    Michelle M.

Absolutely delicious! This large, spotless, and very welcoming restaurant is wonderful and I hope our Yelp community will show them the love they deserve. My Chicago-style hot dog was delicious and my fries were served nice and hot. Cupid's Hot Dogs would be ideal for a team lunch or a birthday party. I was tempted to try the vegan dog, but maybe next time. My dog, fries and a drink came in at just over $10 (and that included tip). That is saying something given today's prices and they did not spare anything in the freshness of the ingredients - that relish was excellent! Fly like an arrow to the heart of Lee Road - Cupid's Hot Dogs.

YUMMY! A little slice of the Valley in Orlando. You definitely have to try the chili dogs. Just like I remember. Unlike the locations in the Valley, this Orlando location has a drive-thru, indoor seating, and expands the menu to include fries, other sides. Now if someone would open an Original Tommy's Hamburger stand here . . . IYKYK

This location is on 535 very close to SeaWorld, and also in a very touristy area. They have opened a few locations around Central Florida. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating, as well as a drive thru. I think their food is best eaten there so its hot and fresh. Inside their decor is a mix of old timey cars and car hops. It reminds me of a restaurant you would find in the 60s. Its fun, the staff are fun, there is music and they also sell beer. I don't think I have ever really seen a fast food restaurant serving beer. Im sure they exist but I cant think of one. This is a fun environment, the staff calls your order out and then when its ready they use very fun slogans to tell you its time, such as "Order 165 it's time to shine" and "Order 173 come and meet me". This is perfect for families not looking to spend a ton of money and also get a hot dinner or lunch. There were a lot of families in here eating dinner when we went. It is very touristy at this location, the shopping center it is in, also has a White Castle so just be prepared. There were plenty of parking spots though. Portillo's menu is very simple, they have hot dogs, burgers/chicken sandwiches, salads, bowls and Italian beef. However, they are most known for their Chicago style hot dogs. Their Italian beef is very good, they dip the sandwich in a hot au jus sauce. A Chicago dog has mustard, green relish, celery salt, tomatoes, onions, a pickle and peppers sandwiched on the hot dog. This is a meal on top of the hot dog. My wife usually orders the Chicago dog with no onions or relish. I usually go for the Italian beef or one of their salads or bowls. I usually get something different each time. This visit, I actually went with the Italian Sausage and Beef combo served on a hoagie bun. This was a great combo and even my wife mentioned how the sausage was really good and something she would probably get next time. Service is always really great. Everyone is always nice and friendly. Someone is always cleaning the tables, everyone says hello, they are just really great with their service. Drinks can be refilled, you just need to go to the counter if they do not have their own self service machine. I would definitely recommend this chain. The food is great, service fantastic and a fun vibe inside. ACES!

This place is the food you keep coming back for. I've been twice in the last week. The menu has…read morevariety but not so much as to cause you indecision. The staff is absolutely amazing. Your food is cooked to order and everything comes out to perfection. The location reminds me of the diner that in HIMYM's episode with the perfect burger. That's ironic because it's the reason I popped in here for the first time. After seeing several people have a burger one night, it became a much needed experience for me. The burger came out delicious. You have to add the house sauce to it. You won't regret it. The tenders are so crispy but maintain all their juiciness as well. As I write this review, I'm seriously considering going back for one or both. Nonetheless, go give it a try. There is an added bonus that the bar next door allows you to eat your food there and have a beverage or two.

I guess it's been quite a long time since I talked about this place. I don't get to come here often…read moreenough because I'm just not in the area so much anymore. When I am nearby and I'm hungry though it's worth stopping to have a bite to eat. I took a friend to an appointment nearby and had time to kill so I came for lunch. The place looks almost exactly the same as it did the first time I came here. They are right near a train stop and there is one accessible space outside the building. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, but it is limited. The menu here has changed a little bit over the years, but they still have all the Chicago favorites that I enjoy. I've never had a problem with anything. I have had to eat here and that does keep me coming back. The people that work here are always friendly and they strive to make sure you get a good meal. And this occasion I wanted something a little different so I ordered a polish sausage Chicago style without tomatoes because I can't have them. The bond did fall apart a bit more than I like, but my meal was excellent. They always have very tasty french fries. I have tried several things over the years and feel confident and recommending their entire menu. And of course, if you are looking for a pizza puff, then this is one of the few places you can find them around the Orlando area. If you're looking for a good Chicago style, hot dog or Polish or any hotdog this is the local stop. They use genuine Vienna, beef products, which always brings the taste of home for me. They make an excellent Italian beef sandwich and have really good giardiniera.
