House sitting here in Placerville, and found this little treasure on Yelp. Placerville is so underrated...places like this are what makes a town so special. Awesome location, very clean, and plenty of seating available. The cashier/barista was sweet/friendly (almost a rarity these days), which made it that much more pleasant. The prices are great, as I got a 16 oz. coconut/vanilla latte + a lemon bar for only $5.70! While I was waiting for my drink, I looked at all the little things they sell, and you can tell that the owner has a sense of humor, and great taste...I love it :-). I can't wait to move up here! GLUTEN FREE HEAVEN If you have to eat gluten free, as I do, you must visit this place. MUST. I was floored by the selection, so I'll have to go back to try more goodies. They make their goodies in house! (My diet is ruined.) The chocolate cupcake was good. The almond cake very good. But the their gluten free sourdough pizza crust, which they make for Pizza Bene, was amazing. This place is really on to something with their sourdough pizza crust. If I could rate cuppa with even more stars, I would. They have the greatest staff they are always kind and do their best to ensure you get amazing customer service and the best drink. My favorite barista is Kendra, but all of them are great. If you've lived in town your whole life or just passing through drop by and pick up some delicious coffee. You won't be disappointed. Fantastic place to grab a cup of coffee and get some work done. Staff is superbly friendly, breakfast options are delicious and espresso was perfectly executed. Not to mention -- I was really happy to see that they offer alternatives to milk (almond, soy) -- and had plenty of gluten-free options on the menu. They have a reliable wireless connection and the place is QUIET. They were playing holiday music -- but it was subtle and served as a nice backdrop. Best cuppa coffee in Placerville! The staff is friendly, the price is right, the shop is clean. The quiche and frittatas are tasty, the carmalitas WOW, the pasties are made from scratch and OH MY! My wife and I were passing through on our way to Tahoe and this place looked exactly like what we needed, and boy did they deliver. First, their chai is one of the best I've had in a long time. It was just the right temperature and full of flavor. We got the poppy seed scone which was very good. When we first arrived there was a couple who strongly suggested getting the sweet potato frittata, so we did. It was quite interesting, with little cubes of sweet potato throughout. What really made it for me was their home made hot sauce. They had two of them and were really good. I tried to figure out how they made it but the waitress wasn't giving up any secrets. One of the walls was covered with wines and books. One book shelf was labeled something like "free library". If we lived near Placerville I know we would go there all the time. read more

Stopped by this place on the way along Hwy 50. I'll keep this short. The "ice" in the iced coffee is actually made of frozen coffee! That should be all you need to know. Phenomenal quality from top to bottom. Only had a chance to try one two pastries, but also top notch. Have been to two of the other coffee shops in Placerville, but this is the one you should try first. It's easy to miss, even though it's on the main street, but it's completely worth it. read more

This is the coffeehouse that made me sad to move away from Placerville. I would sit here for hours with my computer, drinking excellent coffee, and eating fabulous (gluten free!) frittata. The baristas are friendly, with a knack for knowing when you're in the mood to chat or would rather be left alone. When it comes to small, independent coffee houses, quality and ambiance are hit or miss. Cuppa Coffee & more is definitely a hit. Great coffee, great gluten free food, great decor. I LOVE Cuppa Coffee. Before 9 AM on weekdays their coffee is only $1.00! not only is the coffee great quality, the snacks are amazing. Today I tried the pumpkin coffee-cake, which is made in-house. It is the moistest, richest coffee cake I've ever had. Simply amazing and delicious. The decor in this shop is clean, comfy, and the employees are super-friendly. Just remember they now do not accept debit/credit for purchases under $5 so bring cash if you're just grabbing coffee. read more

This cute little coffee shop had several gluten-free options including a few dishes to enjoy for lunch. They also had hard cider in the cooler. It is not a dedicated facility but I was told the kitchen takes intense precautions while preparing the GF baked goods and dishes. read more

I came in and got a latte. It was so good, and the service was surprisingly fast! I only came in once and I will definitely come again.

Nice lady great service. But food options were really small. And I'm not a big eater. Breakfast burrito I got was mainly tortilla it was hard to even find the potatoes and ingredients. And was really Expensive for the price I probably could've ate two maybe even three if I was really hungry. If it was organic maybe that would be n ok price, but for non-organic big bites of tortilla is why I had to write this post. Usually when I pass through Placerville, I've just about hit my limit of road time without coffee. And, since Placerville is such a quaint and unique town, I love to stop here to quench my need of a pick-me-up. I live hours away, yet I still seem to be somewhat of a local fan of Cozmic Coffee. However, I decided that it was time to try something new in Placerville. I searched on my Yelp ap to find another coffee shop on the main drag of town. Cuppa Coffee has GREAT reviews and 5 stars! I was impressed, and I knew that my curiosity would get the best of me. I HAD to try this place. I have to admit, though, that I was not impressed when I walking inside. The place was small and empty. Sometimes you just have to trust the locals. I have had some of the best coffee in hole-in-the-wall diners. I was solely seeking coffee, and I realized that most of the reviews are for food, for the quiet environment, or for the cheap price of coffee on weekdays- $1.00. If you're looking for a quiet spot to get some work done, this is your place. They have Wi-Fi, food, coffee, tea, etc. If you're just looking for a delicious, energizing cup of coffee, you may want to go somewhere else. In my opinion, the coffee had an odd, almost-tart taste and was pretty weak. The lady who took my order was welcoming and helpful--offering suggestions to me and my friends about food and places to shop around town. I was just not a big fan of the coffee. read more

Had some business on Main Street in Placerville this morning, earlier than we are ever in Placerville. Decided to grab a cup of coffee. Had heard about Cuppa Coffee but never stopped in. Boy we are glad we did. Very cute establishment, friendly- FRIENDLY staff. I usually do not drink coffee anywhere but home (we have a very nice Jura coffee maker) so I am some what of a coffee snob. Very cute & quaint place perfect for a delicious cup of coffee. This was complimented with a savory breakfast burrito & their special recipe, SPICY salsa! The storefront faces Main Street and if you are lucky to grab the table next to the cozy, antique-looking free-standing heater, this adds to the ambiance especially on a rainy day like the day I was there. Just had the best experience here! My husband's birthday, him, I, and two teens, quite hot and thirsty from exploring Sutter's Mill. Arrived 5 minutes after closing. All coffee shops apparently shut down at 5:00 p.m. midweek. Door was open, (I think) owner was cleaning. She decided to gracefully make an exception and make us ice drinks. Not only were they delicious, but my son later discovered coffee ice-cubes! "Mom, this is when you know it's a good place." I live in Placerville and have enjoyed many cups of delicious coffee in the numerous cafes on main street. My old favorite latte procurer used to be Born to Be Wired, until I stumbled upon Cuppa Coffee and More, where they use coffee ice cubes as to not water down your iced coffee beverages, very clever, and yesterday created the most delicious pumpkin latte I have ever imbibed. My husband now regularly enjoys their Mocha's and both of us feel very appreciative these coffee arTists have set up shop in town. read more

Desperate for an afternoon pick-me-up, I walked into Cuppa Coffee & More about one minute before closing time (I didn't realize it at the time) and ordered a special coffee drink: cinnamon americano. The super-nice woman behind the counter (whom I subsequently found out is the owner) cheerfully made my drink while we talked. (You know how annoying it is when you're at work and a customer comes in right as you're closing? I do.) But she welcomed me sincerely and even asked me to taste my coffee to make sure it was how I wanted, offering to adjust it if it wasn't. My stop in quaint Placerville that day was memorable, but significantly more pleasant by the owner of Cuppa Coffee (whose name I can't remember but whose warm disposition and perfect americano I will never forget!). read more

Just stopped in for some refreshments today. Wow. So clean, friendly and courteous! Getting iced coffee with coffee ice cubes was really nice. Cute little coffee shop that fits in well with the antique-y hometown feel of Placerville's Main Street. We needed something to get us started for the day as we left Placerville for another leg of our trip. They have a good selection of breakfast items and although pricey ($2.50 for a 2 inch square gluten free almond cake..) everything was good. I had a cup of coffee and the aforementioned almond cake, while hubs picked up a canned green tea (who knows why) and a chicken&rice wrap. He said it was good. read more

No idea why there's good reviews on this place..I've been here twice and this second time was the last straw. I got a blueberry scone and it was the most dry thing I've ever experienced eating..literally sandpaper and my aunt and mother took a bite and couldn't even believe it. Then my chai latte came out and it was HALF foam! After scooping off the foam I had a quarter of the actual drink in the cup. My brother got an Italian soda that was really just a cup of ice.
