Found this fun frozen yogurt place for a late night treat. There were a bunch of different flavors. My kids got vanilla and chocolate. There were sample cups but we only saw those after we got our cups. The girls chose their toppings from the pour station and the buffet line of treats! The vanilla was good, the chocolate ice cream had an odd taste to it and it wasn't my favorite. My husband got the blueberry muffin that only tasted like cinnamon. I thought he accidentally got a flan flavored one. It wasn't very good because it was overly cinnamon flavored. The space is pretty small and they had very large garage doors. Maybe they open that in the summer when it's warm and makes the space look bigger. Thankfully there weren't too many people in there so it was nice. read more

Upgrading my review from a 4 to a 5 due to the Covid-19 safety efforts (signs, masks, 6' spacing, closed indoor seating, full service, etc were in place). Visited on a Sunday evening an hour before closing time. It was busy but the line went quick. Once you make it to the front, the employee grabs the cup of your choice (small, medium, large), you tell her your flavor(s) of choice, how much you want, and what toppings (if any). The employee then weighs your yogurt, you pay, and off you go. Outdoor patio seating was available. Best part about Cuppa Yo is the remarkable frozen yogurt. Price per ounce is definitely expensive and definitely more expensive than most yogurt places I've been too. I didn't even fill my cup and only added a couple sprinkles for over 9 dollars. New East Side location at Hwy 20 & 27th: Never been to a Cuppa Yo but our son discovered this place a couple weeks ago and had been numerous times (I think every other day since they opened) and finally got us to come along the other night. I have not been to a frozen yogurt shop in over a decade. Probably longer. I remember when they were all the rage in the late 80's so my expectations weren't high. In fact, what I was "expecting" and what took place were worlds apart. Cuppa Yo should be "Cuppa Yum"!!! In the old days, the fro yo bar was not "serve yourself". You walked up to the counter and chose a flavor. Maybe two. Or even a swirl. Then proceeded down the counter much like Subway choosing toppings as your cup of yo was passed along. Not so with this place. Maybe this is a new concept, maybe not. But whatever it is.....it's a hit. Cuppa Yo is self serve and you pay by weight. Walk in the door and you are greeted with a fun, airy place. A huge bank of fro yo machines greet you on the left with a selection of the flavors being offered this day. If you want "tastes" just go up and ask for some sample cups. But before you begin filling your cup, bowl or quart with frozen goodness, take a peek at all the offerings for toppings. There's fruit, candy, cereal, syrups.....and you can have as little or as much as you want of each. As you can well imagine, the combinations are nearly limitless. Go back, select your container and begin filling. Maybe layer it with chocolate on the bottom and go over to the cereal bar sprinkle some Cocoa Pebbles on top. (Different but yummy). Head back and add a layer of Red Velvet Cake......yes, that's a flavor or frozen yogurt....and then top it with another goody. When you've created your own personal concoction made to your satisfaction, step up to the counter and be weighed. NOT you....your cuppa delicious yo! Price? Who the hell cares! This was the best dessert I've had in a long time. Totally fun. Moderately healthy...okay, better than ice cream, right? And convenient. Love this East Side location. I have a confession to make - I'm a fro yo addict! So, the fact I live so close to Cuppa Yo means I relapse and give in to my cravings on the regular. Located next to Spork, it's a busy little strip on Newport. It's light, and bright in there, and full of families and kiddos pretty much all the time. Yogurt flavors are delicious, and rotate often for a good variety. They have all the usual toppings, my favorite being the mochi. I'm always surprised at the prices, usually cheaper than I've come to expect at other shops. They have a punch card for rewards, and the teenage staff are always super polite. I really like Cuppa Yo on the WS. The staff is always friendly and helpful. They have awesome toppings and most of the time I like their flavor choices. It's close to my house so I walk there with my family as a special treat. It's got a nice ambiance to it, like you feel welcome. They update their website daily so you know what flavors there are.
