Confession time. I am a big coffeeholic. This is most assuredly my drink of choice, and I am always on the quest to find more and better coffee places. Curator Coffee was a newly discovered place and it was worth it. The place is charmingly decorated and has a relaxing atmosphere. Curator's coffee and tea flavors are nothing to scoff at either. Ranging from a Affogato to Rose Latte, they offer a variety of interesting flavors. I had their lavender latte, which was excellent and can't wait to try the Rose Latte. They had run out of it , but the lavender was a great substitute. I certainly will be back to sample some more of their coffees and teas, and, maybe, to hang out for a bit. read more

I just discovered Curator coffee after attending a Yelp event here. My hubby and I absolutely loved it and returned twice in the same week! I absolutely love the warm and inviting energy, as soon as you walk in. Every time i am here, I feel like home! It's usually very busy which is telling of how awesome this coffee shop is! Fun fact, we actually found our realtor here, thanks to a community cork board in the back with local business cards! Glad to have this gem so close to home! This coffee place is relatively new, so definitely come by and support them. I absolutely love how they support local artist by displaying art work/paintings and pottery. They also make their own pottery and sell them too. The also have interactive events and overall have a great vibe to thier shop. They have a cute seating area where you can hangout or play games. They also release a special every month. So be sure to ask what it is. I tried their lavender latte here, and its quite unique. I like how they don't make the drink too sweet, so you can actually taste the coffee. They use high quality coffee beans and make all their flavor ideas in house. Definitely will come by again! After stalking Curator Coffee on instagram for a while, they posted they were finally ready to open their brick and mortar storefront. I missed the first couple of weekends but an unexpected day off during the week granted me the availability to drive across town and try them. Creative, stylish, and welcoming were the first three words that came to mind when I walked in. The walls were dotted with paintings for sale, there were shelves with handmade pottery, and books, books, books. The two employees were very friendly. I think the main girl was one of the owners? She was quick to talk about the Barista Book Exchange which I thought was very cool! (I'm bringing a book to exchange next time) She also suggested the March Special, the Cherry Blossom Latte. She said I could order it hot or cold, and "dirty" - a shot of espresso. I ordered it hot and dirty (lol) and I also got a kolache for a late breakfast. (jalapeño and cheese) A couple of other patrons sat in the store respectable distances away, working on their laptops. My latte was ready in no time, and was served in one of the beautiful homemade mugs. The kolache came out later, as staff wanted to ensure it was heated thoroughly (it was!). The latte was incredible, and I'm normally not into floral coffees. The cherry blossom flavor was subtle, but there, and it balanced very well with the espresso shot. The kolache was also very tasty. Crispy bread on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and a thicc sausage and gooey cheese on the inside. 10/10. One of the art pieces caught my eye as I ordered, one of the floral watercolor pieces. So. I bought it. I also bought a mug, a beautiful blue one that reminded me of demin. Thousand Oaks has an excellent coffee shop in the neighborhood. Frankly, I'm jealous! However, they were definitely worth the drive all the way from the Med Center and I can't wait to see my new friends at Curator Coffee again soon! read more

This is just the cutest place! Tucked away in a retail strip center near a busy Bill Miller and KFC, this is a hidden gem. The adorable, enthusiastic owner (also a ceramic artist) is usually at the front taking orders with a smile. She will be happy to tell you all about the shop, the art and artisans. So fun! All of the coffee is sourced from local roasters. Recently I had the Lavendar Latte served in a cool one-of-a-kind ceramic mug. Sitting outside at a little table on a glorious day with a special drink is just the best! Curator also has a changing daily assortment of baked goods from a local baker. My favorite so far is the blueberry scone - light and SO FLAVORFUL! This place also offers regular ceramic making classes, coffee education classes, and even a special traditional tea ceremony! I came here on my day off in hopes of finding another tasty coffee spot on my list. Mind you, my caffeine meter was on low, and I needed some coffee stat lol. I drove up, and the place was easy to find. Nestled in a strip mall near thousand oaks. I love the vibe inside. The baristas were so sweet, and they truly made sure everyone was helped. The pastries remind me of another coffee establishment I go to, and that only meant that the coffee was not going to disappoint. Love that the mugs were made by local artists and supporting small businesses was important. I stepped out of my comfort zone and got a honey latte. Never had one before, so why not? lol. And it was really good. Not overly sweet, and I could taste the coffee. Also, I got a marble pound cake as well. I will be stopping by again very soon! This was a very cute and well put together coffee shop. Customer service was excellent, and the store was very clean. There is a lot of homemade pottery for purchase, and plenty of seating options. The Nutella bread was so good- perfect amount of sweetness, and so soft. We ordered two lattes- I got an extra to pumps of vanilla. And our drinks were very good. What a cool place! I would have never known this was here even though I live close by. I like the concept that items handmade by the staff are available for purchase. I ordered the rose cold brew because I like rose flavor and had not seen such a drink on a menu. It did not have a strong rose flavor but it was still interesting. I also ordered an adorable heart shaped cookie with powdered sugar and a raspberry jam center. It was light and flaky with a buttery taste, very berry good! Staff was friendly and patient. Curator Coffee is located in Thousand Oaks area (out of my circle) but glad I ventured out to this coffee shop. This is such a cute, vibrant space that feels welcoming right when you walk in. I was immediately greeted by this sweet employee and she walked me through the menu and offered great recommendations. The top two items are the lavender latte and pistachio latte. I ended up going with an iced pistachio latte with almond milk and ordered one of the fresh pastries (concha) of the day they had. BOTH OF THEM SLAP!! The concha was amazing, fresh, and filling. I noticed a lot of people on their laptops or reading and it was surprisingly on the quieter side for how busy they are. They have a few options of seating from tables with chairs, barstools at the coffee bar, a couch and some outdoor seating also. Another unique feature of this place is different artists they curate here. They have ceramic art, dog treats, t shirts and more! I will definitely come back and try more of their great coffee! I LOVE this spot! It's unassuming, it's hidden away in a little strip mall, and it is amazing! I love the idea of having a pottery spot combined with a coffee shop! You can even buy and take home your coffee cup if you like! Plus it's never overly crowded and there are instruments there that you can play! The coffee here is great. I've already had their February special 3 times. It's white chocolate and desert pear! I think their espresso is great. Not too bitter but still tastes like coffee. The service is also great. Came here to catch up with a friend. The young lady who made our drinks was amazing. I got an iced lavender green tea. I should've gotten a hot drink because it would've been served in one of the pretty clay mugs that the owner (and a bunch of other throwers) make. They have a bunch of cute decor items (magazines, guitar, side table, etc.) on the side that really add to the ambiance. They also sell cups and plates and other clay knick-knacks from local artisan throwers, which is amazing! They also have clay moulding classes which are classes that you can pay to make a cup or other things. You can also attend coffee and matcha painting classes, which I believe are free, but don't quote me on that. Overall, this is a really unique coffee shop and would love to attend one of their clay moulding classes if they didn't sell out so quickly and my schedule allowed. read more

Curator coffee is run by people who not only care for coffee, but also care for people, art, and the community. From the moment you walk in you are welcomed and feel right at home. I especially love the attention to art and community artists here. I got my go-to vanilla latte. It was splendid! I brought my wife here with me and she got the Lavender latte and then a drip coffee. They didn't quite rate 5 stars for her. They were good but not excellent. I'd rate this 4.5 stars if I could with her input but... I won't rate this a 4 so a 5 it is! We had two versions of a lavender coffee. One iced cold brew with oat milk and one iced latte. Both were delicious. We sat outside and enjoyed the fresh air. Staff was helpful with assisting us as this was our first visit. Beautiful art for sale from local artists varying from pottery to prints and hand made dog treats. I've been hearing a lot of good things about this coffee shop, so I took my wife and we checked it out. My wife got the lavender latte and a Kolache. She really enjoyed the lavender latte but she said the Kolache was just OK. I got the drip coffee and I thought it was OK as well. It was a very cute shop that had some very interesting pottery and cool items to look at. It was very unique and will worth a visit. The staff was very friendly and approachable, and I appreciate everything they did for us. Unfortunately, I cannot give it five stars, because the black drip coffee and the Kolache were just ok. Please keep in mind that my review doesn't mean the food was bad, it simply means that it did not suit my taste. However, please do not let that discourage you from going. I will probably not return, but It is a good little coffee shop and well worth the visit if you are in the area. read more

Stop by Curator today to see what the hype was about. It's this small spot located off Jones-Maltsberger and Thousand Oaks. Its pet friendly, so it's a bonus for me because I get to pet dogs. The menu is small and they have some ceramics available to purchase. Staff is super nice and helpful which is always welcoming. I don't enjoy when the staff is short with me because I don't know what to pick. I had the lavender cold brew and Ube Concha. I think I enjoyed the concha more, but that just means I have to return to try other options. It's trendy, food is local, so it's pricey but worth it. read more

The interior of the coffee shop is lovely. There are a lot of different pottery items on display for sale that are hand made by one of the baristas! It's a very nice touch that adds some personality to this coffee shop. I tried an iced Honey Yuzu tea and it was great; very refreshing for a hot day. Excellent coffee and ambiance! For the first time, I've been able to relax while drinking my coffee. Music in the background, tranquil backdrop and kind service. I ordered a Mocha and chocolate muffin. This one of the best cups of coffee with the right amount of sweet and bitter balance and foam. The muffing melted in my mouth! This is such a cute, trendy, quiet little coffee shop, the perfect place to get some work done. I'm so glad there is now an artisanal coffee shop in this area. I think it's better than it's competitors in the area, Starbucks and McDonalds. I went in to order a Caramel Latte to-go. When I pulled up, I noticed there was a little bit of outside seating ( a two person table and a bench) which it's always nice to have the option of enjoying your coffee outside. Then when I walked in, I immediately noticed the clean design of the interior. There were several 2 person tables, lined up very neatly and separated at a pretty good distance. I like that because you get a little bit of privacy while you work and a little distance from someone who might be talking. It just seemed so peaceful in there. After ordering my coffee, it only took about 2/3 minutes for her to make, which is nice if you're in a hurry. Whether you like cold brew, drip, pour over, French press, they got it. I had a latte and asked if they can make it breve. They made it breve without charging me extra for it. I really appreciated it. The customer service is on point and the latte was very good. Had come across this gem on Instagram and wanted to stop by and try for myself. We ordered the two monthly specials: pumpkin cheesecake cold brew and pumpkin cheesecake tea. Both were excellent and I will be back to sample some of their other unique drinks. They have really unique tea options for those non- coffee people like myself. Assortment of baked goods all looked delicious and homemade. We were warmly welcomed in and asked if this was our first time. We said yes and got an explanation of all the local art for sale through out. We also learned about special events like cookie decorating classes, etc. This place truly is the definition of a local coffee hang out! Such a cute and cozy coffee shop! Walked in here and practically got disoriented - this place would fit in great downtown or in Alamo Heights, surprised to see it in my old neighborhood. But everyone deserves good coffee. They use locally roasted beans, feature local art on the walls, and both sell and use locally made pottery. The barista (owner?) working the morning I went by was super sweet and chatty, the friendly Texas service that I miss the most. My drink was made right in front of me while we chatted, which was a nice touch - I was the only customer at the time, not sure if this is the norm for them. Best lavender latte in the San Antonio area I've had so far. Just the right amount of syrup and doesn't leave a perfume-y taste in your mouth. They showed me what syrup they use in case I wanted to buy my own. The second drink was the limited time white chocolate and orange latte. I don't think I would have ordered that one again, but I wanted to venture out with something new that I wouldn't normally try. Love that the beans they use are local so you know they're fresh. Also tried the heart shaped linzer cookie which is always a great compliment to coffee in my opinion. In addition to that my toddler and I split a bagel and cream cheese. He approves. I love that everything was served in/on handmade ceramic items. (love your cup? It's available for purchase) I appreciated that there was kid sized chair for my little one along with some blocks as well.
