They only take Cash and Zelle for right now. The food was okay, The Salmon Avocado Oniguiri was my favorite out of everything we shared. I'm use to a little more salt in my food, so if you are the same, keep in mind that they do not use much here. I deducted an extra star because the Chicken Yakisoba ended up having a hair in it. They did end up taking it off my bill and were very apologetic for it. The Oniguiri was Very Large, good size for the price. A little hard to bite, might benefit from making smaller & serving 2. I believe kewpie mayo ontop. Salmon is cooked & shredded. Acai bowl was good, but only allows a choice of 3 toppings from a short varity list. Lemonade was just a powder mix. The ambiance was nice though! It was a cafe style in the front and had an outdoors garden space that was home-y and felt like being in your back yard. Some seating was covered so we were still able to go outside despite the light rain. There is also a few pretty birds you walk past on your way out back. There was quite a few steps though, and i did not see an alternate entry to the garden, so that specifically is not handicap friendly if it applies to you. read more

A hidden gem in Kearny, Nj! I absolutely love the ambiance and service! I decided to eat outside ( they have a patio outside 10/10 recommend) and wow it seems like you're transported to a different place! It's filled with greenery and beautiful spots for a Instagram picture! Our server was very attentive even though we were outside , and the food was delicious the rice came out in a shape of a dolphin ( so cute!!!) Such a cute little spot, especially on a pretty day! Enjoyed lunch here with my husband. We came for the first time and chose to sit in the back patio area. The space was colorful and bright with lots of flowers. I liked that there were plenty of umbrellas over the tables and other covered seating areas. They were even thoughtful enough to provide bug spray if needed. The service was great! My husband and I ordered a matcha bubble tea, and The Tropics smoothie for drinks. Both tasted delicious but the smoothie was way too sweet for my liking. Next time I would specify low sugar. I ordered the tofu skewers and sweet potato roll and he had the Walk on the Field dish. We both enjoyed the flavor and taste of everything. I liked that both the sweet potato roll and tofu were light and not battered or deep fried. Overall we loved the vibe, especially on a pretty day. It's my favorite place to order salmon from. The skin is a little crispy and the place is cozy I love the community table in the center of the place. They make cute yummy warm beverages and the owner and workers are always kind. There is also some things to engage with like taking a little sand. Cute community oriented local spot. This restaurant is phenomenal. At first, i was upset when it shifted from the best cafe in town (Intrinsic Bakery) to the Japanese fusion it is today. But My favorite machiatto stayed on the menu and the food is insanely good. (I do miss my favorite chicken salad on croissant though lol) But the best part is the atmosphere. The kind staff, the zen garden on the large shared table, the unique decor, and the incredible outdoor garden! We did takeout from here, and as someone who comes from an Asian background, I'm disappointed. The chicken skewers and scallion pancakes had no flavor, and the curry and the salmon teriyaki were pretty basic, and there was even a hair in it.... Was super excited to try it because everyone in Kearny seems to rave about it, but was pretty disappointed :( maybe it was just a one-off bad experience, their coffees & desserts look great so I'll have to try it, but wouldn't come again for entrees :( read more

The food was amazing as always. We usually go for a good meal. Great staff one of them took our order a few minutes "late", even though it was quicker than most places. She felt bad and gave us a slice of cake on the house, totally unnecessary. Also they have so many cute decorations and places to sit, the restaurant is so pretty when I go in it feels like a cozy world, where I could just think and relax. A favorite local spot beloved by many! Unique dishes that aren't often seen elsewhere in the area, like oyakodon and pollock in curry sauce. The scallion pancakes are the owner's family recipe! Scallion pancakes, tofu skewers (firm tofu and wish they used extra firm; their teriyaki sauce was thin and wish it was thicker; more of a glaze), veggie bowl, mango juice (a little sweet), mushroom onigiri. Overall food was good though. We sat outside in the heated tents and it was great. Ambiance was nice, but a little messy in one of the corners.
