The salmon avocado roll was fine, not enough flavor. The spicy tuna roll was probably the weirdest spicy tuna roll I've ever had, and not in a good way. It was half cucumber, which im not a fan of, and the spicy tuna itself didnt taste anything like the spicy tuna im used to...it tasted spicy but not like fish? The Philly roll was my favorite roll actually, and im not usually a Philly roll fan, but the cream cheese added some nice flavor the other rolls were lacking. The fried rice was very mediocre. Very little flavor. The meal came with an unexpected side sauce which was more than just soy but we couldn't really tell what it was exactly. We went to Banzai Sushi and the service was really disappointing. Our server didn't seem to know the menu well. We ordered ramen to share, but she didn't give us an extra spoon or fork. The sashimi platter was served without soy sauce, and we had to ask for it. The gyoza, which was supposed to be an appetizer, came out way too late, after we finish the ramen and sashimi that were already on the table. Guys, this place is a must go! I'm literally drooling thinking about it again! All of the sashimi pieces were fresh, no fishy odor or taste and the spicy tuna roll was just okay in comparison, but you can't really mess that up. I LOVED that little salad and those noodles, literally oozed umami flavor. You have to go for the fresh sushi and noods! I went over there with the intention of ordering at least $30 worth of sushi for myself to try different fishes. I even bought wine. When I entered happy. I seen a white lady at the cashier, I thought, O God, she's not even Asian. But I want to put all my biases aside cause she not the one preparing my food. You can customize rolls on the menu, choosing white or brown rice, or adding spicy mayo, teriyaki, or other sauces. There's also a number of vegetable sushi rolls and veggie options (tempura and donburi). Here's what my husband and I ordered and all are recommended: - Sweet potato roll (I ordered with Teriyaki sauce) - Avocado roll with brown rice - Vegetable roll (I ordered with spicy mayo) - Sushi dinner that comes with small miso soup - Vegetable Donburi (hibachi style, you can get it with Teriyaki) With takeaway sushi, if you order an additional sauce, it comes in little containers for you so you can add it on yourself as to your liking. Don't judge this place by the way it looks outside or even when you walk in. The place is small and have 4 tables that can accommodate 4 people to a table. I was skeptical of the food when the chef is not Asian. I was put at ease after being served the miso soup. It was perfect. Not watered down or taste like it came out of a can. The calamari tempura was excellent. I didn't care for the shumai. It was tiny and looked like it came out of a freezer. But the sushi we ordered more than made up for that.
