So glad we decided to try this place out! Every dish was so well spiced and packed with flavor. The naan was also so flavorful which is sometimes not the case in Indian restaurants when they don't give much attention to it. The service was also super fast. Inside it's clean and comfortable booths and well decorated too. And I feel like it's more underground since there weren't any crowds but people should def try this place.

They have changed their name to Copper and Chimney. Food was overall tasty. Felt like I normally go to the same place for Indian food all the time, decided to try something different. It was worth a try.

Solid place with friendly guys working there and huge portions. The lamb biryani we got was fantastic, although the saag paneer was nothing to write home about. The place was otherwise abandoned on a Wednesday night, and I only saw them get one Uber eats order while we were there, so we got plenty of attention. The plastic flowers and the paper over the white tablecloths cracked me up.

Okay we found our new go-to Indian restaurant. Naan was crispy but not too crispy. Lamb palak and korma were yummy. Prices were great. Service was excellent. Oh and my mango lassi was smooth and tasted like mango and not super sweet. Will be back!

Excited to try new Indian since I can never get enough, but this place is just OK. I was excited because everyone was saying how it's so spicy, but I found it rather bland, and even getting the curries at the spicy level didn't bring much heat or taste. I tried the palak paneer, butter chicken, samosa, garlic naan, and butter naan. the best tasting dishes were the butter chicken and garlic naan. But the samosa, palak paneer, and butter naan was rather bland. The service is nice and the space is large, but I'm not going to be craving Indian food here.

Came here for a pick me up lunch on a rainy day and the food, service and experience all left me happy! Thank you for the delicious meal in a nice, neighborly atmosphere. We will surely be back.

My wife and I have lived in the South Park neighborhood of SF for over 20 years and we've seen many restaurants come and go (lately, mainly "go"). Happily, Curry & Kabab opened a few months ago and today we tried it out. We truly had a GREAT experience. We visited on a Saturday afternoon around 2:00 for a late lunch and arrived to find a serene and quiet respite from noisy Third Street, with relaxing piano music playing. This restaurant definitely has an upscale vibe, but without the upscale prices or pretentiousness. We each tried a combination meal. You get a LOT of food for $15-$17: a large slice of fresh lightly buttered naan, your main entree (butter chicken for her, aloo gobi for me), green salad, rice, and a side dish of spiced chickpeas in sauce, and all presented on a lovely, sparkling-clean platter. Our waiter was a quiet, cheerful young man who checked on us regularly. We agree with other recent reviews that the spice level is a notch higher than what you would expect. Overall, we had a terrific experience and are very happy that Curry & Kebab set up shop in South Park.

Towards the end of our meal around 8:15 restaurant was mostly full but still a few open spots. Food: Okra Fritter - okay, solid portion size, sliced okra in a pakora like batter that added a hint of nuttiness and a touch of spice, served with tamarind and mint chutney for dipping, fried crispy, fairly dry and not oily Onion Persarattu - a thin dosa sprinkled with diced raw onions served with 3 chutneys and rasam soup, dosa was very lightly seasoned, didn't see any of the green gram mentioned in the description, dosa lacked crispness and ate a bit soggy, chutneys were okay but fairly bland Paneer Tikka Masala - minimal spice, creamy with a hint of tomato, okay portion size wish there was a bit more paneer to sauce in terms of ratio, need more seasoning and wish this was a touch saltier Service was lacking, tables were set with plates napkins silverware and two bottles of water which was nice. The rest was a pretty mixed bag, felt rushed to place our order once the group was seated they checked in twice in the span of 5min to see if we were ready. Food pacing once orders were placed was fine maybe 10-15min for dishes to be prepared and served. Once we were done eating staff did not check in to close out our bill for 10 min, when we finally did flag a server down we wanted to pay with blackbird so they told us to checkin and we waited another 5-10min before we were actually able to pay the bill. There are so many other great Indian spots in the Mission, would suggest those over this spot.Food felt under seasoned, service was lacking. I will say price point felt reasonable and maybe the kitchen and staff were off the evening I visited.

Copra is an absolute masterclass in coastal South Indian cuisine that completely recalibrates your palate. The Fillmore space itself is gorgeous--dripping with lush greenery and high-end tropical energy--but the absolute culinary obsession happening on the plates is the real story. We ran through a massive spread, and honestly, the flavor profiles are loud, complex, and unapologetically bold. The Standout Drinks -Jaggery Sour It hits that perfect balance of sweet and tart, with the jaggery giving it a deep, complex molasses-like richness that pairs beautifully with the spice of the food. -Salty City: refreshing and addicting Food hits -Mysore Masala Dosa: My personal favorite of the night. The dosa itself has that elite, perfect crisp-to-chew ratio. Pair it with the tomato and coconut chutneys, a heavy dusting of podi, and that rich onion sambar, and it's pure perfection. -Thayir Vadai Chaat: A total texture bomb and another personal highlight. It's got this incredible contrast between the cool yogurt, sweet date chutney, and the crunch of the Madras mixture and cashews. -Varuval Sea Bass Collar: Absolutely phenomenal. The fish was cooked to absolute perfection under that heavily spiced varuval crust. The karavelli curry it sits in is incredibly rich, and pairing it with the clean, bright snowpea poriyal and basmati rice made it an elite main course. We also dug into the Shrimp Vennai Roast (smothered in a brown butter chili chutney that is pure crack) and the Slow-Cooked Octopus with that sharp jaffna rub and grapefruit. Dessert -Jigarthanda: You must save room for this. The frozen caramel milk bar combined with milk jam, nannari, and the crunch of candied cashews is elite-level dessert engineering. It's sweet, cooling, and the perfect antidote to the spice of the meal. Last but not least, you must try their filtered Indian coffee. It delivers a strong nutty subtle sweet flavor. Service is sharp, fast-paced, and genuinely passionate about the menu. It's vibrant, energetic, and entirely worth every bit of the hype. A shout out to Ser taking care of our group of 6. She helped us make decisions for orders as we were divided in what we want. Lol

For food we got the following: -Dahi Sev Puri - this was my favorite dish, really fun to eat and great flavors. -Chole Bhature - this was also great! The puffy bread was sooo delicious and the chickpeas were perfectly seasoned and delicious. -Bhel Puri - this dish was unique and was a good size portion, but not as flavorful as the other two dishes. It felt like eating a savory rice crispy cereal, but not in a bad way :P -Garlic Naan - pretty decent but nothing special -Jalebi - I was really excited to try this dessert. I looooved the texture (crunchy outside, with a gooey inside) but the actual flavor was not my favorite. To me, it tasted very similar to chlorinated water, and it was hard to get past that.. There was a different jalebi with a dipping sauce, and I wonder if that would have been better. They were out of it when we went, but I would try it again with that. Overall, we enjoyed the food, although I felt it was a little expensive for the portion sizes. We made a fairly simple request to have one ingredient served on the side, but it was missed and never acknowledged. At one point, I asked for an extra napkin, and it was carelessly dropped onto one of our dirty plates. We were also asked to clear the table almost immediately after paying to make room for upcoming parties (as is their right, but they could have easily notified us of this earlier so we could plan accordingly - and the service hadn't felt particularly considerate or attentive up to that point). I understand they may have been understaffed, but the way the service was handled felt very avoidable. I wouldn't recommend unless trying authentic dishes is your top priority.

The restaurant is spacious with plenty of seating and a separate bar area. The lunch buffet is $19.99 before tax & tip and seemed to be a pretty fair price. Now for the lunch buffet, there was a good variety of both meat and veggie curries along with basmati rice and a few appetizers (pakoras, etc). I enjoyed the tandoori chicken, butter chicken, dal and a veggie curry with spiced potatoes and peas. The dal had a nice flavor and a little kick and was a bit spicy, but paired well with the rice. The staff also brought over fresh naan, which was pretty good. The pakoras weren't too good, a little too salty, but the chutney helped. Customer service was friendly and attentive, with staff checking in occasionally on if we needed anything or wanted a refill of naan. I will say I assumed the chai was included with the buffet, and totally missed the signage that it was an extra cost. So, it was a slight surprise when we got the check. Otherwise, it was a pleasant dining experience and I was glad to find a Indian restaurant with a lunch buffet available on a Sunday, as most places only offer a lunch buffet during the workweek (Monday to Friday). Recommend trying out Apna Chulha if you're in the area.
