Have not physically gone to the location yet so can not comment on the ambiance or service, but I just wanted to say that I tried the chicken momos here and have been trying a bunch of momos in the Bay Area since I moved here a month ago, but this is by far THE BEST! The texture, flavor and the sauce it comes with is out of this world. Will definitely be trying to make it to the actual location and would love to meet the owners in person as I have heard they are amazing people! It was definitely quiet on the night that we went but the service was good. It's a cute spot with an authentic vibe but the food just didn't live up to the expectations. The paneer momos with the Manchurian sauce was the star. We got the naan combo which was garlic, potato and regular naan. I wanted more garlic on the garlic one and more aloo in the aloo/ potato one. It was soft but hard to differentiate which was which. My curry was good but nothing really stood out with it. It hit the mark for a basic curry but I would probably try something different next time. read more

I just ordered the mixed grill off Uber Eats and this meal left me full of disappointment. The meal is advertised as chicken, lamb and fish marinated in yogurt and spices and roasted in a clay oven. What I got was 4 shrimp a long thin ,piece of fish and a drumstick and thigh ( one piece. ) resting on a salad. No lamb. Everything about this presentation was to give the illusion of a full plate. Love their momo (steam dumplings) with the sauce. They pair so well together. Momo had lots of cumin flavor. Had the goat biryani. Goat was tough, but if I cut in small bites, it was ok. I find it a tiny spicy even though i asked for no spice. It was so pretty with the saffron color. You can ask for different spice level. The chicken Tika masala sauce was so smooth and yummy. Chunks of white meat chicken. Some were dry but if you like white meat, this is your place. It came in a very nice bowl. Next to salt shaker was the magic spice. It looks like cinnamon but it is a special spice, like sweet chili sauce It really add taste but too much means spicy. Nice service. Great place to have conversation. The lunch take out is so cheap. I have been to this place twice, and each time was consistently delicious! I will let the pictures do the talking as I forgot what we ordered. The first time I went, we ordered a vegetarian thali with naan and biryani. The thali was 3 meals for me. My friends loved what they had. We went all out the second time I went with a different group of friends. We had regular naan and garlic naan, saag paneer, lamb curry, etc. It was once again a lot of food that we took home. Everything was delicious. Service was friendly, although a little slow, but we did not mind. There were no issues with cleanliness. I have been here twice with friends. None of us got sick. We will keep on returning as we really enjoyed our meals. read more

I've tried different things from here before and I think it depends on what you order. I didn't like the chow mein at all (perhaps this is an Indian style and not my palate as I'm used to chinese chow mein). The mango lassi is good although I wish it was a bigger size. I ordered the chicken vindaloo and the special rice. Firstly, the portion was tiny and on closer inspection I had two minuscule pieces of chicken. The chicken was not cooked in the sauce, but just dropped it at the end. There were three pieces of potato, which seemed very old. The rice was revolting. It was gooey and stuck together with absolutely no seasoning or flavor. I had tried lunch there and it wasn't too bad, but I will not be back. read more

Dined as a party of two for lunch and the food was delicious! We ordered lamb korma, paneer makhani, vegetable biryani, garlic naan. Forgot to take photos of the food but I took a snap of the decor. According to our friendly server, they've only been open five days and they seem to be doing brisk takeout business already with the number of folks we saw pick up orders. The menu is accessible by QR code, then your order will be taken by the server. Service was a little bumpy. We wanted to split the bill on two credit cards and our server didn't (know how to?) do that. There was also a strong smell of cleanser or disinfectant that was less noticeable as time passed. My receipt is attributed to Nepalese Indian Restaurant on Fillmore but we definitely were at the former Ananda Fuara location. I went at 1:30 and it was nearly empty. The ambiance was fine. It smelled fine (unlike what other reviews said) and it was very clean on the inside. The food wasn't bad I had to leave and wasn't able to finish my food because there were so many bone fragments. I ordered the goat biryani and after I noticed bone fragments I started taking small bites and picking them out of my mouth because I didn't want to waste the food but it got a bit excessive (like 2 fragments per bite) and quite dangerous. Below is a photo of just the bigger ones. I also saw reviews complaining about the service; it's ok but certainly not up to the American standard of service. Without question this is one of the best restaurants in San Francisco there's no doubt in my mind about that. However, that's not (just) what this is about. I'm sure most people know by now that it's no secret, customer service is no longer practiced especially in San Francisco. Yet this 0wonderful restaurant has somehow given me hope that maybe there are the few businesses still out there that try and practice something that every business should do. Cuz maybe I'm out of line by saying this but it would seem that without customers there would be no business. However for some reason no one seems to be concerned about that anymore apparently businesses can survive no matter how they treat the people who come in to spend their money. Cuz let's face it nowadays the customer's always wrong, trying to reach or speak to an actual human is about as easy as trying to reach on the phone and speak with whichever God you believe in. We get chat bots, text messages and lists of options of problems we should be having and if our problem isn't on that list there is an abrupt disconnection. Constantly trying to have to justify yourself and prove our innocence up against an Uber driver or a doordash driver that spent about 3 minutes total with our order, and on a side note oddly enough we are supposed to tip them not the people who made the food the people who took two seconds out of their day to get it to us, and I can say with 100% certainty they did it with very little care or concern, about making sure we got our money's worth. We are actually expected to give them a tip before they even do anything I can't really think of a restaurant where I sit down and tip the waitress before she even takes my order why is this any different. A satisfied customer used to mean something to a business owner, nowadays let's face it to say it bluntly it's give me your money and will treat you however we f****** please. Not to mention the odds are already against us when the only person who's able to speak to a real human is the driver, for us there is literally not one way to converse in real time with an actual flesh and blood human being. And we are told that wise tales about how we are given codes to give the delivery person to ensure that our order was delivered yet orders as mine was today are listed as "completed" even after they'd say no I was never given the phone by anyone. Yet somehow when I tried to reach out to Uber they felt that the driver did their job. I don't know why but for some reason I think mostly because I love this restaurant so much I walked honestly not expecting very much in return, and I told them the situation and I have to say without hesitation or question or any kind of inkling of doubt they simply said "sit tight we're going to remake your food and get you out of here no charge, and as for Uber you don't have to to do anything we'll take it from here." I was floored , truly I almost started to cry. as paying customers we should really stop giving our money to the people who don't care about us and start giving our money to the people who deserve it the people who treat us how we want to be treated when we go in somewhere to spend the money that we work hard for the only way it's going to change is if we finally take a stand. And I would spend every last dollar I earned eating at this restaurant because they are kind, the food is good and you actually leave with a good feeling not a feeling of shame, punishment and abuse. They are lovely people it's worth it to go there so if you haven't yet go there now, right now, and if you have already gone there keep going their the owner and the people that work their deserve nothing but praise and success. The Paneer Tikka Masala was really good. I've noticed over the past couple of years that a lot of places make their tikka masala too sweet now, but this was perfect with mild-medium spice. The Veg Samosa was also good though I prefer the wrap to be a little thinner and crispier, but the taste and the sauces were great. The service was fast, I placed a to-go order and got there early so I expected to wait 5-10 minutes, but it was ready to go within 3-4 minutes. The woman at the counter was helpful and the interior was nice, there were people at several tables, but it wasn't crowded. Will be returning for their lunchtime buffet: four veg dishes and four meat dishes, plus naan, rice and fruit to choose from. read more
