I'm a sucker for Indian buffets but today I needed to grab a pizza to take home. Curry & Kabab is located along El Camino but parking on a Saturday afternoon was not too hard to just pull up along the curb. Pizza takes about 20minutes so calling ahead would save you time. They're very nice here. It's a small restaurant with enough tables and although the buffet is small, they serve goat and that's always a favorite of mine. I ordered the XL CHICKEN TIKKA MASALA $32.88 with tax. I would say the pizza seemed a little dry so there could've been way more sauce and the dough is a little heavier for my liking. We ordered takeout, it took a bit more time but it was fresh and hot. The food is quite greasy. I wish there were healthier, less fatty options marked as such. Taste has been consistently flavorful. But meat portions are small and come with lot of sauce, so order more if you want more protein. I wish they would carry some distinct mustard oil Punjabi flavors- would be nice to have something different than standard fare at most indian restaurants in the bay area. read more

UNRELIABLE AND POOR CUSTOMER SUPPORT I am traveling and I saw good food and reviews. i ordered food to delivery from here! I ordered soya Chaap from menu. They delivered me navratan Korma. And I am allergic some ingredients in it. Garlic naan were like masala naan. I have never seen yellow Garlic naan. They were actually masala naan. I had requested for utensils and napkins and they were not included in the packing. When I called the restaurant the guys said that they do not have soya chaap and so they decided to substitute with something else. It is surprising that on a Friday night at 7pm they do not have something and secondly they make a decision what someone will be eating not making an effort to contact for substitution. I've driven past this place hundreds of times and never tried it. It's in a tough location next to the freeway. We ordered the 1. Fried fish 2. Begna Barta 3. Chicken tikka masala 4. Cauliflower and potatoes Everything was very good. Food is very spicy in a good way. Spicy is actually spicy. Everything was excellent. I don't understand the bad reviews. It's a great takeout spot. I ordered ahead online for a paneer korma and paneer naan, with a note asking to make sure the paneer korma was as mild/non-spicy as possible (just in case, since I can't really handle spicy food unfortunately). The paneer korma contains poppy seeds and is very creamy. It could have used more of other flavors, I wish the spices cut through more and would've liked to have tasted the nuts like cashews more strongly, but it's good if you love dairy. It had plenty of paneer. The paneer naan was alright, it was more on the flat side and not that fluffy. I could taste some of the cheese but it's probably not the best to be paired with the paneer korma since the overload of dairy meant the naan tasted rather plain in comparison. read more

Their food is amazing and definitely packs heat, though they do offer different spice levels. The meat was fresh and full of flavor. I can't comment on the ambience since I ordered online, but the service was excellent. They had my order ready in under 20 minutes. Their tandoor is outstanding. Discovered this little gem for a Sunday brunch and got their buffet, which offered everything from the ubiquitous chicken tikka masala or butter chicken and also the lesser known goat curry, alongside fish pakoras and tandoori chicken.For vegetables they had assorted stuff, e.g. palak paneer, which was spiced perfectly and not overwhelmed with chili. They brought fresh hot naan to the table and had a bunch of different chutneys, e.g. mint and tamarind with raita and kheer to the right of the buffet, which we didn't discover till after we'd already eater. Their chicken tikka masala outstanding flavors, well balanced and beautifully cooked. Their goat a revelation with super fork tender meat, which is hard to do, because it can often get either tough or stringy. Not the case here--they knocked it out of the park. The customer service very warm and welcoming, the interior is not a hole in the wall, but rather a stunning collection of wall art with colorful chairs spartan neat and clean. Loved it. You seriously cannot beat the price: for $19.99? Yup that's their lunch buffet. I do have one complaint: the dishes at the buffet were lukewarm, which for my husband was fine, because he doesn't like for his food to burn him :-) He also doesn't necessarily like his food to be piping hot. I can't enjoy it unless it's basically bubbling on my plate lol :-) After I discovered that it was lukewarm, I asked if my plate could be warmed up in their microwave. Turns out their plates are not microwaveable, so that put an end to my ambitions. It did mar my enjoyment but thankfully, this is easily something they can remedy, simply by turning up the buffet burners. It would completely elevate the dining experience. When we walked into the empty restaurant, there was an employee there wiping tables. He did not greet us or acknowledge us, even though I said "Hi" to him multiple times. I thought he was deaf so we just sat ourselves and grabbed the menus from the counter. There was a pretty good variety of items on the menu, and it took us a few extra minutes to decide what to order. It was a hot day, and they had no air conditioning, just a few fans that kept blowing hot air around. The man wiping the tables came to take our order, and we thought it was strange how he just ignored us earlier, and he was not deaf. When the items came, we thought it was a joke. The dishes were so small, looking like a children's playset. Not a good value. The portions were the smallest we've seen in any Indian restaurant we've been to. We ordered Garlic Naan, and they served us regular naan. We were the only customers in there, and the guy got our order wrong! The naan is very thin, and they give you a pathetic amount. The Tandoori Fish was too salty, and it was served on a sizzling platter. The chicken curry and the biryani were served in ridiculously small dishes, but tasted OK. Due to the issues that we experienced here, we won't be back, and we won't recommend this place. Update 7/21/24: After posting a negative review, the manager, Mandy, replied back accusing me of throwing fish at the server. If she reviewed the cameras, she would have seen that I didn't do such thing, and all that I mentioned before was true. They are such lying scum and couldn't take criticism. Ordered garlic naan and chicken tika masala online for pick up on a rainy day. Food was ready when I arrived and was still hot by the time I got home. Didn't have to reheat. Garlic naan was delicious but a bit soggy because it was wrapped in foil. Generous pieces of chicken in the tika masala. Most Indian restaurants usually give you 3-4 pieces of dried, tasteless chicken breast pieces, but there were at least 10 pieces of flavorful chicken. Solid small locally owned Indian restaurant that will satisfy a craving for those spicy flavors. Came in on a rainy evening, there's street parking right on El Camino. Service is nothing to write home about, but the food was tasty. We enjoyed Aloo Gobi, Palak paneer, and garlic naan. Great spot for any vegetarian as well. The garlic naan wasn't anything special. It was a bit strange the server asked if we wanted one or two rice as if it wasn't included with each dish. We weren't super hungry so came home with tasty leftovers. read more

My family orders takeout from here every few weeks. Butter chicken 2x, either a Channa masala or Sag paneer, Lamb biriyani, naan. You know it's legit when grandma is at the stove. This is a hard working family producing solid Indian food, and we are pretty loyal to this location. A friend told us to go to someplace better known in Palo Alto but we thought curry & kabob was more flavorful. Takeout advice: when ordering online, allow at least 10 more minutes than the app estimates for the order to be ready. They are never really on time. If parking on el Camino is impossible go a bit further down to the hot tub place. read more

It was my first time here and liked everything I ordered. It won't be my last time here and I might have found my go-to Indian restaurant! The three items ordered: Chicken Tikka Masala (mild): creamy, tasty, and not spicy at all. I love how moist the chicken pieces were and would take a guess that chicken thighs are used for this dish. Plenty of chicken pieces in the dish too! Palak Paneer (medium): the cheese cubes had good texture and another tasty dish. I do wish it was more spicy for a "medium" level though. Plain Naan Bread: the one order of naan was huge and much bigger than expected. I ordered takeout, so the bread was wrapped and not eaten until after the drive home. Even though it was eaten tens of minutes later, the naan was still good and enjoyable. It had parts that were crunchy and chewy, so the naan is probably even better when eaten fresh at the restaurant! A note about parking - the parking situation is definitely challenging since it is located on El Camino Real and right before the Highway 92 ramps. The street is very busy, so it makes parallel parking difficult. The street is also not very wide, so you have to wait until there is a free gap in the traffic for you to either get in or out of your car. There is a picture (not taken by me) here on Yelp about additional parking, but I did not give this a try and may try on a future visit. Good food and opens until late (midnight for pickup and 11:30pm for dine in) Came here to pick up an order recently. The Keema Naan was flavorful without being greasy. The Palak Paneer appeared to be cooked from fresh spinach instead of frozen chopped. The Paneer was standard, I do wish the spinach was a bit chunkier though. Chicken Korma was spot on with a creamy tomato sauce. There are bits of nuts in the sauce which much I enjoyed. I'll definitely be back to try other dishes. read more

We started by ordering a pizza, very different than what we are used to. On our journey through their food selections, we have not been disappointed. It is now our hands down go to for Indian food. If you never have had Indian food, be careful when ordering the spice level as it can be very hot. If you're not sure, ask. The staff is really nice and helpful. Once when I picking up my order, I realized I didn't have enough tip money. I put in what cash I had, they were so gracious and said that's okay. I was craving some Indian food after attending an event and found this gem. Luckily I went an hour before closing and found parking up front. Parking looks a bit tight. There was a parking area to the far left of the restaurant but, it looked a bit sketch since it was at night. This place is small. But there was a good amount of seating. Mind you, this was my first time here. The guy made me feel like I had to rush. I didn't get a chance to fully look at their menu because of that but, I decided to go with their chicken tikka masala. I love Indian food and I wish I had tried this place sooner! It's a small restaurant right off El Camino and the 92 West entrance. There is street parking and Yelp claims there is a private lot but I'm not sure where it is. I was in the area and decided to get two curries to go. I ordered the chicken korma and the mattar paneer. It took about 20 minutes for the food. Both curries came with a nice container of rice which was great. I really liked both dishes. The dishes were oily but I like my curries oily since you know there's a lot of fat and flavor. I asked for mild spice for both and I felt like both were a bit on the spicier side (but yummy), so I'm curious how medium+ will taste! Both dishes were creamy and had the right flavors I was looking for. They were also perfectly salted as well. My spouse also thought the food was delicious as well and he's usually pretty neutral towards food. I would love to come back and try some of the other curries too! read more

Craving for Indian food last night and found this place on Yelp. We have probably drove past it a hundred times and we never notice it as it's very close to 92 entrance on El Camino. Lucky to score a parking right on El Camino it's a fairly small restaurant with a few tables. There was only one table of 3 guys eating at the restaurant. There were three other groups of people standing around waiting for their food to go. We were given a menu and told to sit anywhere we want. We sat at the open table very close to the cashier and the kitchen. As we were exploring the menu, something spicy in the air hit everyone's nose as we all started to cough. It's sort of funny as everyone looks up in sync. I am sure we all think what the heck is that order? Better to order mild or medium instead of spicy as thats no joke!! We notice they have a steady stream of people come in to pick up orders or order to-go. Guess it's a pretty popular spot! The cashier came over to take our order. The only thing I want is Palak paneer (spinach) and he said they are out of spinach. What?!? How could you be out of spinach??? At that moment, I don't really care what my hubby ordered. Service is good really nice people and food was ready quickly, not sitting out like pre-cooked or kept under heat lamp type. The food was great!
