Great location. Clean and Comfortable space inside. Outside it was on a block that needed some cleaning. Food was good. They are sensitive to spice sensitivity. Order at the register And wait for the food. Fast.

We really liked this place. Needed to stop in for a quick lunch. Service was friendly. Food was fast. It was also really good. Place was very clean on the inside. Would suggest stopping in for a quick lunch. I also believe they DoorDash. The pad Thai and pad see ew were very good.

Lunch special (L1) - Pad Thai w/ Chicken and side salad. Missing two pieces of crab rangoon, though.

I ordered the Lunch (L1) Pad Thai w/ chicken to go. The place seats roughly 16-20 people and there's a touch-screen kiosk as well as ordering from the cashier. Almost every seat was occupied, and there was no comfortable place to sit or stand out of the way should others need to access fountain drinks or utensils. In addition, there was no staff to bus tables, so customers left all their dirty dishes behind--despite a cart with a dish tray and garbage can nearby. The lone cashier not only brings you your food but is left to clean up after them. Not very efficient if you wished to dine in. Lastly, I would have given them a higher rating but after later reviewing the menu back at the office, I realized they hadn't given me my two pieces of crab rangoon.

Not Thai testing. Not authentic, everything tastes without the normal Thai spices. Cheap though.

First time I tried to go here I couldn't even get a table cause they had a long wait. The next day I placed an online order and I even downloaded their app. Place opens at 11 so I picked up at 11:30. When I got there my order wasn't done though and I had to wait another 15 minutes. They then forgot my lemonade and told me to grab one from the fridge which is fine. But upon eating my food on my hotel I realized they forgot allllll the sauces that come with my food too. So no sauce for my nuggets that I ordered and none for the Philly eggrolls. It was def frustrating since the app makes it super easy to order and I waited 30 min from opening to get my food even. The food though was bomb. Highly recommend the Philly eggrolls especially. So crispy and flavorful. But again, they forgot my sauce The nuggets were great, again no sauce though Fries were delicious but it's hard to mess those up. I also got a chicken sandwich which I didn't eat the bread with though since I ordered so much food to try lol. Again, delicious as hell though. Their smoothies and lemonade were fabulous and refreshing too. Seems like they're maybe understaffed or something but it's a great vibe and great food for vegetarians and vegans. I would go back if I'm in Chicago but I'm double checking they didn't forget my drinks and sauces next time.

I ordered the "Dope Drip Original" Tamafongo, and a Chicken Empanada. The service was kind, and the food came out after about 10 minutes, which was a little longer than I would hope for, but still within acceptable limits. The Empanada was fresh from the fryer, and even 10 minutes after being handed it, it was still blindingly hot on the inside. This thing was well sized, and did not at all skimp on the protein! The thing was completely filled with a flavorful chicken, with just the right amount of spinach to add a flavor without becoming even a cousin of rabbit food (I'm a carnivore, if you didn't know!). Also, I don't know how it is prepared or what is added, but it is, true to form, tender and even a bit creamy! My only complaint is that the sauce requested carried a small extra charge, and was only a half-filled small ramekin. Speaking of tender, let me tell you about the Tamafongo! It was superbly well balanced! It also did not skimp on very tender beef, but at the same time has a corresponding amount of plantain for starch, sauce for added savory flavor, and the use of broth only served to help the ingredients get to know each other, and added moisture. Was this dish as mind blowing as something I'd had at The Purple Pig? No. It was, however, simple, homestyle cooking! When it comes to value, considering the portion sizes, $7 for the Tamafongo and $4 for the Empanada feels extremely reasonable. Besides, where can one find a good, filling meal that isn't all carbs and oil for $11? Final verdict: I think the most dope thing about Dope Drip is that they deliver on something that is increasingly hard to find. That being homestyle meals that are relatively guilt-free, at reasonable prices to boot!

My order did not take long. I was told 10 minutes and I had it within 6 minutes. Everything was hot and well seasoned. I would come back again but would like try other items besides the jibaritos and rice bowls. Price wise it is a bit pricey coming out to ~$24 with a soda - but this feels like the going rate for non-fast food restaurants in the city.

It was pretty dead shortly after opening and the quiet ambience, upscale decor, and TVs playing the game gave it a half-fancy, half-sports bar vibe. They do have a killer happy hour that runs through the weekend, with half off many appetizers, pastas, and drinks. I love that they feature regular menu items, so it's a great way to try everything without breaking the bank. I came really hoping to try the stuffed dates, but although they had just opened, I was told that they were out. I was a bit disappointed and opted for the meatball instead alongside the tartufate. Although I was one of a handful of customers, my water was not refilled once nor were there any check-ins. The staff instead was camped out at the other end of the bar glued to the game on TV. The meatball was tender with a good flavor, but I felt that the sauce was a bit watery and under-salted. This was just ok for me. Halfway through eating it, a server reached over to take it away asking if I was finished, and I politely said no. The pasta was rich and creamy, and I loved how the orecchiette scooped up the truffle sauce. It was tasty and I felt the portion was great given the price, but it wasn't revolutionary. A large part of going out to a nice restaurant is the experience, and I felt this missed the mark. I would possibly return for the happy hour given the value, but for a sure fire good time with others, I would probably hang my hat on another establishment.

Cutesy restaurant with plenty of photo op props! Huge dining area downstairs and upstairs and large wrap around bar. It was rather warm, but there has been a heatwave this week. The charbroiled oysters were charred well but the seasoning was wayyy too salty to enjoy the oysters. For our meals we shared the Cajun salmon stuffed salmon and dirty rice and jerk lamp chops. I really wish the dirty rice was offered as a side dish because it was so good and the lamp was cooked to perfection! Thank you to the 2 managers that stopped by our table, Fatima and Jada, to wish us a happy anniversary. There was also an anniversary well wish card on the table which was a nice touch. The restaurant also offers a walk in waitlist, but it seemed to depend entirely on cancellations. There wasn't an estimated wait time or any guarantee of getting a table. The staff were very strict on reservation time and having the entire party present. The restaurant is beautifully designed with a great ambiance. I loved the warm, dim lighting along with the gold accents and decor. The menu is well organized with cold dishes, warm dishes, rice and noodles, curries, and entrées. The dishes stay true to traditional flavors while adding a refined, modern touch. We ordered: * Salted mango limeade with preserved citrus served over shaved ice: 10/10 Such a fun and refreshing drink. The flavor changes as the ice melts, making every sip a little different. * Prawn toast: 8/10. The toast was crispy and well made, but the herb nam jim sauce is what really made the dish. It added so much freshness and flavor. * Wagyu short rib khao soi with crispy noodles: 9/10. Khao soi has become one of my favorite Thai dishes, and this version did not disappoint. The flavors and textures were balanced perfectly and rich without feeling too heavy. * Clay Pot Lobster Pad Thai: 9/10. A classic pad Thai with well balanced flavors and generous pieces of lobster throughout. * Crispy eggplant banh xeo: 10/10. This ended up being my favorite dish of the meal, which was unexpected because it's a side. The combination of flavors and textures was unique, and every bite was incredible. Still thinking about this one!! * Crying Tiger dessert: 10/10. This dessert was memorable for the presentation, the experience, and the flavor. I've never had anything quite like it. The banana with the caramel sauce was absolutely spectacular. I'm not sure I'd go back, but I'm so glad I had the chance to try it. A lot of upscale Asian restaurants lose the traditional flavors when they try to elevate or add a fusion twist to their dishes, but Crying Tiger strikes that balance really well.
