Great location. Clean and Comfortable space inside. Outside it was on a block that needed some cleaning. Food was good. They are sensitive to spice sensitivity. Order at the register And wait for the food. Fast.

We really liked this place. Needed to stop in for a quick lunch. Service was friendly. Food was fast. It was also really good. Place was very clean on the inside. Would suggest stopping in for a quick lunch. I also believe they DoorDash. The pad Thai and pad see ew were very good.

Lunch special (L1) - Pad Thai w/ Chicken and side salad. Missing two pieces of crab rangoon, though.

I ordered the Lunch (L1) Pad Thai w/ chicken to go. The place seats roughly 16-20 people and there's a touch-screen kiosk as well as ordering from the cashier. Almost every seat was occupied, and there was no comfortable place to sit or stand out of the way should others need to access fountain drinks or utensils. In addition, there was no staff to bus tables, so customers left all their dirty dishes behind--despite a cart with a dish tray and garbage can nearby. The lone cashier not only brings you your food but is left to clean up after them. Not very efficient if you wished to dine in. Lastly, I would have given them a higher rating but after later reviewing the menu back at the office, I realized they hadn't given me my two pieces of crab rangoon.

Not Thai testing. Not authentic, everything tastes without the normal Thai spices. Cheap though.

I ordered the "Dope Drip Original" Tamafongo, and a Chicken Empanada. The service was kind, and the food came out after about 10 minutes, which was a little longer than I would hope for, but still within acceptable limits. The Empanada was fresh from the fryer, and even 10 minutes after being handed it, it was still blindingly hot on the inside. This thing was well sized, and did not at all skimp on the protein! The thing was completely filled with a flavorful chicken, with just the right amount of spinach to add a flavor without becoming even a cousin of rabbit food (I'm a carnivore, if you didn't know!). Also, I don't know how it is prepared or what is added, but it is, true to form, tender and even a bit creamy! My only complaint is that the sauce requested carried a small extra charge, and was only a half-filled small ramekin. Speaking of tender, let me tell you about the Tamafongo! It was superbly well balanced! It also did not skimp on very tender beef, but at the same time has a corresponding amount of plantain for starch, sauce for added savory flavor, and the use of broth only served to help the ingredients get to know each other, and added moisture. Was this dish as mind blowing as something I'd had at The Purple Pig? No. It was, however, simple, homestyle cooking! When it comes to value, considering the portion sizes, $7 for the Tamafongo and $4 for the Empanada feels extremely reasonable. Besides, where can one find a good, filling meal that isn't all carbs and oil for $11? Final verdict: I think the most dope thing about Dope Drip is that they deliver on something that is increasingly hard to find. That being homestyle meals that are relatively guilt-free, at reasonable prices to boot!

My order did not take long. I was told 10 minutes and I had it within 6 minutes. Everything was hot and well seasoned. I would come back again but would like try other items besides the jibaritos and rice bowls. Price wise it is a bit pricey coming out to ~$24 with a soda - but this feels like the going rate for non-fast food restaurants in the city.

I found Ila's on Google and liked the variety of menu items. The food appeared to elevate comfort food from multiple cuisines, such as American, Italian, South American, Asian, and Southeast Asian. I reached out to the restaurant and was assisted with a reservation for 14 people. Our table was set and ready to go as soon as we arrived at 8:30pm on a Saturday. Overall customer was excellent. Thank you to the hostess for making my sister, the bride, feel special. She complimented her and hyped her up for the night, which was really sweet. Our server was awesome too. He was friendly and highly attentive. Loved that our food and drinks also came out in a timely manner. I enjoyed everything I ate. I had a few bites of the appetizers including the scallops, fried paneer, and 2 kinds of empanadas (corn and chicken). We also got lumpia and a mixed bread platter for the table. Though I didn't have any of the latter, they were a hit at our table. I got the burger as my entree, and it was such a redemption from a crappy burger I got elsewhere earlier in my trip. The double smashed patties were juicy and flavorful. I devoured the burger and loved the thin cut fries. All-in-all, we had a lovely dinner at Ila's for my sister's bachelorette party.

We also tried the chicken & corn empanadas and the cheese pesto flatbread--all solid. The only downside was that it is super quiet with only a 3 parties including us, so don't expect a buzzing happy hour scene. The space is absolutely gorgeous though, with beautiful interiors, comfy high-end furniture, and great service. Hoping this place gets the love it deserves.

The outdoor bouncers were grabbing people and gripping them until they bruised, threw people out of line, verbally abused individuals, and physically assaulted a young man in the back. This was all one specific bouncer. A shorter male in a blacked out sox hat, a black polo that said security and something that started with an H. He wore meta glasses to record individuals who would confront him after physically or verbally abusing them. He would also make sure to do this farther away from the establishment (assuming so he wouldn't be on their cameras), although when my group was closer to the front I saw him talk to an individual in the street and keep her there until another bouncer asked her to get out of the street, she complied and the original bouncer in the sox hat and meta glasses pushed her and yelled derogatory things at her while she walked awa after doing nothing wrong. I would also like to add this place is extremely inconvenient with pricing, they charge almost $30 for a single vodka cranberry that has nearly no alcohol in it. I would only recommend this place is you have more power over everyone there, or would like your night to be ruined by miserable employees that are constantly upset they work in a disgusting establishment, and on top of that make one of the worst bartender salaries in Chicago because of the students and even shittier staff that unfortunately works at this establishment. The only employee that should be fired, if not arrested first is the security outside of the building on 8/27/26 wearing meta glasses and a black sox hat. He was violent towards indictable in line that were minding their own busines.

It was pretty quiet shortly after opening and the quiet ambience, upscale decor, and TVs playing the game gave it a half-fancy, half-sports bar vibe. They do have a killer happy hour that runs through the weekend, with half off many appetizers, pastas, and drinks. I love that they feature regular menu items, so it's a great way to try everything without breaking the bank. I came really hoping to try the stuffed dates, but although they had just opened, I was told that they were out. I was a bit disappointed and opted for the meatball instead alongside the tartufate. Although I was one of a handful of customers, my water was not refilled once nor were there check-ins. The staff instead was glued to the game on TV at the other end of the bar. The meatball was tender with a good flavor, but I felt that the sauce was a bit watery and under-salted. This was just ok for me. Halfway through eating it, a server reached over to take it away asking if I was finished, and I politely said no. The pasta was rich and creamy, and I loved how the orecchiette scooped up the truffle sauce. It was tasty and I felt the portion was great given the price. A large part of going out to a nice restaurant is the experience, and I felt this didn't quite hit the mark for me. I would possibly return for the happy hour given the value, but for a sure fire good time with others, I don't know that I'd risk paying full price.
