Probably the best Indian food in the south sound- definitely the best lunch special.

So have been a foodie in Seattle, Redmond zone for the last 2 years now. Especially of Indian food but I was in for a surprise when finally I landed up in Olympia in this cozy place called Curry Corner. It did not look very convincing since there were no Indian Customers to begin with. We were doubting whether the food will be bland and spiciness reduced to americanize the food. It was not . We were plesantly surprised by all the items we tried from the green chutney ( added color , so you might be taken a bit surprised by that ) . The naans from Naan n curry are good, so does the large ones from Cedars in University district but all of them tend to go hard by the end. This was one awesome naan that I have ever tasted. It was simply out of the world. The veggies were too good. Now coming to the meaty part, the mutton and chicken that we tried, the mutton mughlai korma was finished in matter for minutes. I have never done that so quick in the past. The chicken was superb My wife tried their lassi which she said was too sweet but being mango lassi, I have taster horrible ones for higher prices. Curry Corner makes the best Indian food in the area! The naan is consistently delicious! Vegetarian options abound - lots of vegetable and paneer dishes (Shahi Paneer is my favorite). My brother in law took me here for the first time after I moved here. It was delicious! Their garlic naan and chicken tikka masala were so good! Though I have lived in the Olympia area for 16 years, I only heard about Curry Corner a few years ago from my foodie brother who lives in Indiana and read about this fabulous Indian restaurant on one of his foodie blogs. Since then, we have made it a point to eat here every few months; and it has been spot-on fabulous every single time. It has also become one of our favorite "take out" places when hosting large family dinners; as you can always find something on their varied menu to please the most finicky of palates. My personal favorites are the butter chicken, the chicken tikka masala, and the palak paneer. And the naan (both garlic and regular) is divine--obviously made fresh, thick and chewy. Though, as other reviewers have noted, it is not at all fancy--located on a strip mall behind a gas station with sundry Indian pantry items lined up along the wall for sale; I have always found the ambiance charming and the staff are incredibly friendly and responsive. read more

Best Indian food in the area. Don't expect much in the way of ambiance or décor - and the place is always busy - but the food is awesome.

This place used to be very good several years ago but they lost their touch. The food isn't as good as it used to be and every time my family went there, they seemed rude and unfriendly. I miss how they used to be and stopped coming here. read more

For the price of the food, you would think rice would be included with each order. Was charged $10 for three small orders of rice - for that amount, I should've just made my own at home for a month! My son and I frequent this restaurant. It is definitely his favorite spot for food! He loves the Chicken Tikka Masala and I love their Shahi Paneer. Love the convenience of this place.  Call in a take out order and it's ready when I get there.  Very generous portions and a great variety of choices. A Diamond in the gas station parking lot! I LOVE Curry Corner. My husband LOVES Curry Corner. A coworker of mine visiting from INDIA LOVED Curry Corner (he had the Butter Chicken). Everyone I have every brought to this place has truly enjoyed it. I've never had a meal I wasn't completely satisfied with. The Palak Paneer (my favorite food ever) is to die for but if you're not sure what you want and you're rather new to Indian food, you can't go wrong with one of their sample platters. In addition to the great food, they have a nice selection of Indian groceries which are otherwise difficult to find in the South Sound area. I mean, it isn't a grocery store but you can stock up on essential spices and so forth (garam masala and paneer cheese... the cheese was just OK. Not what they use, I think.) here. It's odd to find decent Indian food in such a random spot (behind a gas station in Lacey, WA). I am only aware of this restaurant because it is not far from where my folks live. Having lived near downtown Seattle for ten years, I can safely say this place competes with anything you can find in the big city. The food is delightful - though I would add that dining in is a better experience than doing takeout. The butter chicken, while not the best butter chicken I have ever had, is nonetheless very unique and unlike any I have had at other Indian restaurants. It is very rich and buttery. It can sit a little heavy after you have finished your meal - but that comes with the territory. Spiciness levels are appropriate. I tend to order the spiciest and it does have adequate kick. The naan is thin and never burnt - two things that are of importance to me. Service is friendly and fast. I am sure I will go here again when I am in town visiting. read more

Best Indian food I have ever eaten! We ordered butter chicken lunch special and lamb biryani. Butter chicken sauce was very creamy and delicious. Lamb biryani was cooked to the perfection. This is exactly what I am looking for when I got on Yelp. I got the lamb curry lunch special. It came with rice and a ton of delicious sides that I have no idea how to spell. It was 8.45. A steal for the amount and quality of food. So while I can't spell the names of the food I can tell you that the for one the lamb curry had a ton of flavor and the lamb was well cooked. Even the rice was on point. The service was really what made me want to bump it up to five stars. the wait staff was knowledge able and very attentive with out being annoying. I LOVE this place!! Best Indian cuisine in the area, and affordable. Unfortunately I have not sat down there to eat my meals yet, however whenever I go to pick it up the atmosphere is genuine and comfortable, sometimes a little warm though so you might not need to bring in that sweater. It's a bit snug with little privacy from other people, so it might not be the best place to bring your group of 10+ people. However its nice for a couple or group of 4 to enjoy a fairly intimate meal. I usually order the non-vegetarian meal for two and it comes with a wide range of foods for only $15!! The only thing that I'm not a fan of is the rice pudding that comes with, its too watery for my taste, but I'm also picky about my rice pudding so, to each their own. The food is absolutely authentic and tastes fresh. Customer service is phenomenal, they're all so friendly whenever I pick up my food. I've always loved this little Indian restaurant and I lived in LA for nine years--had the best to compare it to. That said, my only complaint (and I have this at Thai restaurants too) is that the level of heat changes from visit to visit. I attribute this to peppers changing throughout the year (some hot, some not) and so it's difficult to gauge the degree of heat. I always leave with a meal or two leftover so I feel that I'm getting a very good value for my money. read more

this is the place to go in the Olympia area for some good Indian food. the naan is delicious (and lets face it, thats my favorite thing about Indian food). we always get the chicken tikka masala and some sort of lamb dish. the portions are huge and the leftovers make a good lunch the next day. we dont take our dishes too spicy, so i cannot attest to spice levels. but the flavors are all good. havent had a bad experience there in out multiple visits. id recommend it to anyone read more

Worked in fine dining for 10 years. During my time I acquired quite the palate. This food is delicious, unique, and tasty.
