Chicken Tikka Masala and Garlic Naan
    Grace R.

Very clean and well kept! Service was pretty good, looked to be only one guy covering the place but there wasn't many others ordering. Mostly people eating the buffet. I got chicken Tikka masala with garlic naan and it was very good. It came out very hot so it took a while before I could actually eat, but that was the only issue. The naan was a bit flat and lacking the fluff I desired, but over all I will come back to try more dishes!

Sooooooo good!! I had the red chicken curry, curried peas n potatoes, salad, rice & bread. Couldn't even begin to say which item I enjoyed the most. It was so freaking good! Cant wait to go back n try more menu items. Check them out on 'Too Good To Go', to get delicious food for cheap.

We tried the buffet this time around. They had 4 different curries - lamb curry, chicken curry, chicken korma, and a tofu curry. There was also a chicken tandoori. We got garlic naan which is an extra $1, regular naan is inclusive with the buffet price. It was good to try, but curry and naan can make you full. I ate 2 plates, definitely got my moneys worth. I learned that I really like their lamb curry, normally I get the lamb vindaloo but lamb curry is just as good!

Been on a bit of an Indian buffet kick lately, and this spot was just okay. I'd call it mid overall. The curries tasted a little watered down--not bad, just not super flavorful. I did appreciate that they had a salad. Price is $16.99 per person, and they charge an extra $1 for garlic naan (which feels a little unnecessary at a buffet). The place is clean, and the staff were friendly enough. It'll do in a pinch if you're in San Marcos and want a decent variety of Indian food, but probably not somewhere I'd go out of my way to return to.

Food was really good, but the keema samosa was wayy too salty I could eat it. I got the vegetable korma which was great, but mild was not quite as flavorful and I think I'd get mild+ next time. The lamb tikka masala (mild+) was also really good and again could probably go up a little on the spice level next time. The garlic naan was really good, though they make it pretty thin, but you get four slices. I ordered a side of rice and got two huge containers! Overall it was really good for takeout and a great amount of food for the price. The staff was attentive and the order was ready in a timely manner.

I found out about Curry Craft months ago, and we just never had the opportunity to try them- that is up until a few weeks ago. Today, June 7th, 2025, was our 3rd visit. I absolutely LOVE Indian food and have taught myself how to make chicken tikka masala ... but let me tell you its a labor of love! So when we took the leap and visited Curry Craft, I was SO happy that I can just jump in the car and go to an Indian buffet whenever I have a craving... and not just any Indian buffet, but an amazing one! The workers here are SO welcoming and nice, and wonderfully attentive. After being seated, we ran over to the buffet line where you can find an array of popular Indian dishes. Samosas, chicken tikka masala, lamb curry, tandoori chicken, channa masala, saag paneer...the list goes on and EVERY single item was delicious. There is also a salad bar too! Now for dessert, they have rice kheer! and it's some of the best kheer I've had. We also ordered the mango lassi, and I think that speaks for itself haha so good! If your near San Marcos or out for a shopping day in the area... stop by Curry Craft near San Marcos High School! They have lunch buffet everyday until 3pm, and dinner buffet Friday, Saturday and Sunday. You will not be disappointed!

Ask the Community - Curry Craft

Has the lunch buffet been brought back to this location?

Yes. We started Lunch Buffet at both CurryCraft locations between 11:00 am to 3:00 pm Thank you for…

Are the vegetarian dishes cooked in the same dishes (pans, etc) that the non-vegetarian dishes are cooked in? Or is it separate to prevent any contact with meat (oils and fats included)? Thank you!

We have all the veg and non-veg dishes cooked in different pans! Just make sure to tell our staff when ordering to make extra sure there’s no cross contamination!

    What's offered in the buffet?

Seems like the buffet changes frequently but they always have over 10 different dishes to chose from. Can't go wrong. I never had the buffet, always each from the menu but it's always busy when I go there which is once a week.

Disclaimer: Had I not been part of a large gathering that was coming here, I doubt I ever would have come to this buffet. Pros: They had the World Cup playing on a "2017 New" 36ish inch TV with the tags still on it The food was mostly hot The cream cheese wontons were delicious, creamy, and crispy Cons: I tried like 11 items, and only the cream cheese wontons were hittin'. Out of the 11 items I tried, only 3-4 items were passable as decent The food was salty The black pepper chicken tasted like fish The food ended up giving my bubble guts the bubble guts-SHEESH! While there were loads of offerings, which I appreciate, the organization of said offerings were a bit strange. The hibachi was set-up going left to right, while the food stations on either side of it were going right to left, creating this crazy clash of people heading in opposite directions. It just wasn't for me.

For this visit, I tried the beef pares for the first time. I don't recall my family ever making it, so I thought I'd give it a go. It reminded of adobo but sweet with a little hint of star anise. The only drawback was bitting into little pieces of it, but overall, I enjoyed it. It is a small spot, so seating is first come, first serve. The staff is always friendly and the music selection is always good. If you're lucky you might even hear Ate signing from the kitchen.

Not good. This is not a good representation of what Filipino food is at all. Our experience here…read morewas underwhelming, sad, and very disappointing. Service was incredibly lacking. One of the ladies at the counter seemed like she didn't want us there or she was just done for the day. She definitely did not give friendly vibes at all. We also weren't served any water at all, while we watched every single customer that came after us get served water. We had to ask for some at the counter, and even then, there were no apologies for forgetting or anything. Like we were really supposed to ask for it, but everyone else didn't. The lechon kawali was tough--it's supposed to be crunchy, but it was far from that. It was hard and dry more than anything. The pork sinigang was supposed to have pork belly as stated in their menu, but it did not seem like it was pork belly at all--more like remnants or trimmings from unwanted pork bits. Some pieces were chewy and didn't look very appetizing. Sinigang is also supposed to be sour from the tamarind, but the soup we got was extremely watered down that you only get the slightest hint of sourness from it. The lumpiang sariwa was okay--nothing to write home about. On top of all that, we came during a very hot day and were excited to have some halo-halo, only to find out that they have run out. In the span of time we were there eating, we have watched them tell maybe 4 or 5 groups of customers that they're all out of halo-halo. I get that their halo-halo is special and different than the usual ones you get elsewhere, but you'd think they'd be more prepared for this, seeing that this is not their first summer rodeo... I'm not sure if this is an every day thing for this place, but I'm really hoping it's not. I don't think we'll be coming back after the experience we just had.
