Food was good but not as good as my first time here. Parking was horrendous and it doesn't seem to be a handicapped accessible. The venue was decorated beautifully and staff was really friendly.

We're celebrating a birthday today and we're trying out something new. Six at the Curry Estate is an upscale restaurant. Beautifully decorated and romantic with incredibly delicious dishes. We started with an espresso martini which seems to be our go to. Delicious and creamy but not real boozy. For starters we ordered the Maryland crabcake and French onion soup, both delicious. I especially liked the cheesy, brothy soup. The broth was great. We shared the pear salad and that was also delicious. The pears were marinated and the salad was dressed lightly with really good olive oil. I loved the blue cheese, nuts, and cranberries mixed in. I would have been happy having that for dinner! Finally my hubby got the blackened Shrimp with Grits. Again, delicious. Generous portion with huge shrimp cooked to perfection. The grits was rich and creamy with a delicious sauce. I had the Tarragon French Cut Chicken. The breasts are skin-on and boneless, except the wing drumette is still attached. Seasoned and cooked perfectly over papperdelle pasta and roasted vegetables in a wild mushroom sauce. My dish was so so good. I loved everything about it. I was impressed with how delicious it was and how it all complimented each other. Our waiter was fantastic. He was very attentive and nice. All in all I loved it here. Knowing that it is owned by six sisters warms my heart.

Smaller building with an indoor venue space. Comfortable space with restrooms and antiques.

What wonderful ambience! - lovely historic buildings set on a hilltop close to Route 9/Albany Post Road and some lovely back roads as well as the Taconic State Parkway. The estate is a multiple buildings with the large estate house serving as an Inn and restaurant. EVENT SPACES: We were attending a bridal shower at one of the upper buildings, in particular an open air pavilion decorated with lovely summer drapes and flowers. AMPLE PARKING on a gravel lot adjacent to the indoor event space and outdoor pavilion. Our bridal shower party of about 45 ppl fit very comfortably in the space where a buffet style breakfast was set up along the far end. The decor was very tasteful with delicate golden bamboo banquet chairs and crisp linen-topped table. Service met the moment-our servers were attentive, pleasant, and discreet. We started with a cocktail option of mimosa, either orange, pomegranate, or another variety. The food at the buffet was fresh and hot. Not an overwhelming amount of choices, but enough for an abundance on each plate - small pastries, and croissants, bagels and accoutrements, scrambled eggs, which were not dried out - creamy French style with a large curd, and , bacon, sausage, etc.. I doubt the pastries were scary-made, but they cleverly heated them through so they felt fresh and hot. What was the only thing missing was a preserve or jam of some kind to spread on the croissants. HIGHLIGHTS: The end of the buffet was punctuated with really authentic , thick Belgian waffles, not those thin flappy kind but a really thick crisp outside, tender on the inside, waffle with fresh whipped cream and maple TIP FOR MANAGEMENT: switch to 100% maple syrup. Coffee and tea service at the Close of our event was timed nicely. I've been in the hospitality industry for more than 30 years and I would say they did spectacular job. I would highly recommend this venue, a birthday, engagement, party, bridal shower, or a small intimate wedding.

Last night I went out to dinner with some friends. Our reservation was for 6:45. We were about 15 minutes early and were started promptly. Since my last visit the restaurant has had some sprucing up. Our room looked beautifully. Our waiter was friendly, knowledgeable of the menu and very attentive. Our appetizers came out in a timely manner. We had the crab cakes and French Onion soup. Our meals were all delicious! Their specialty cheese cake was the perfect end to our dining experience. Looking for a great night out. Restaurant Six is a can't miss!

This was an interesting stay last weekend. I assumed since the on line pictures showed the different rooms, I was imagining it was more like a bed and breakfast. The best way to describe Le Chambord at Curry Estate is more like an inn. B&B rooms with no full breakfast. There's coffee on the bakers rack, enjoy your day! When we checked in on Monday, we had the hotel to ourselves. There were no guests, just the person at the front desk. During check in, I said I'm an early riser. I like to make a cup of coffee and relax in a sitting room while my wife is asleep. I was told I could make coffee in my room and bring it down? Breakfast is at 8am and coffee and juices are served. Initially, the breakfast offering wasn't explained to us very well. They had a continental breakfast with freshly made muffins along with fresh fruit and cereal boxes. No one is making me Brioche French toast with freshly picked New York berries. Bummer. The bright spot of our morning was having breakfast coffee with Michelle. She gave us lots of tips on what to do in the area. She also showed us around the kitchen and proudly showed us a wine case from the 40s that's still in operation today. I can still see her bright smile explaining on where we should go after our walking tour. Before dinner, we decided to open a bottle of wine and light a fire outside on the deck. It was a perfect and relaxing time on the back deck. The ground are impeccable and the hotel went out of their way to make guests comfortable. The bathroom had hot water, nice shower products and they provided fresh towels when they cleaned our room. At night, being the only guests staying at the far inn? When we came back from dinner, the inn had "The Shining" vibe. All those empty rooms, if I would have heard a door slam I would have peed my pants. Other than that? It was a nice, relaxing stay for our time at Le Chambord at Curry Estate.

This was our first time here tho we drive by it regularly. We went to the restaurant Six on a Thursday night to celebrate my daughter's 15th birthday and we had the whole place to ourselves which was nice (I told her I rented it out just for her haha). We went mid January so the Christmas decorations were still up which made for a nice atmosphere. Our waiter Antonio was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. We started with the Maryland crab cake which was chock full of crab chunks. I had the tarragon chicken and my daughter had the rack of lamb. Both were cooked just right and were quite tasty. For dessert, I had the flourless chocolate cake and my daughter had the chocolate mousse, both of which were very rich and a nice way to end our dining experience. I have already recommended this restaurant to a number of people and hope to make it back again soon.

We recently spent a night at the LeChambord at Curry Estate for a Winter Getaway package. The package included a night at the Inn with $100 credit towards dinner in their restaurant located in an historic 1860s estate house. In addition, the inn provided champagne and assorted treats in our room and a continental breakfast the next morning! The restaurant was lovely and quaint. The menu selection was included several different dishes that sounded amazing. For appetizers, we chose the baked french onion soup and the baby green salad. I chose the Fillet Mignon Rossini and my husband chose the Osso Buco. Both dishes were beautifully presented, perfectly cooked, and came with a potatoes and green beans. We decided not to have dessert at the restaurant and instead headed downstairs to the bar area to listen to Johnny Dell the piano man. It was a great way to end the evening. The room was cozy and spacious. The bed was comfortable and the freshly baked treats were amazing!

The excitement was unmatched walking into the building. Peeking in the back where the beer is made, so cool. The open room of the venue itself was nice as well. Lots of merch, lots of beer to go. We purchased two crew necks, a hat, and some beer. The staff behind the bar were able to help answer any and all questions that we gave to them. THEN we sat down to eat. Juice Bomb pint (obviously) and a Happier Hours pint. Started with the chilequiles tater tots and holy heck those were delicious. We also ended up getting the Porky's Revenge sandwich and Sloop Smashed Burger....no photos though because we were too excited to eat!

On our way back from meeting our new grandson for the first time in Rhinebeck ((born early this…read moremorning, 10-4-25, and everyone doing splendidly) , we stopped at one of our favorite local places for authentic tasting German food--Jaeger Haus (5084 NY-9G) in Tivoli, NY.  My one sentence review for card-carrying members of team Cliff Notes: "German beer on tap, a good selection of German wines, and authentic tasting German cuisine at really reasonable prices served up by friendly staff in an environment which just exudes Gemütlichkeit."  Everyone else is invited to continue reading, Bitte. There used to be numerous German restaurants in NYC and throughout upstate NY, but over the years those numbers have dwindled substantially to a handful.  A relatively new addition to the local Hudson Valley dining scene Jaeger Haus was started in 2018 (in a 70 year old restaurant building) and serves up seriously tasty and authentic tasting German beer, wine, and food.  We've dined there a few times over the last two years of visiting this year--the mood is relaxed, the beer is delicious, and food remind us of our travels to Germany and Austria.  The menu is tight and by that I mean it's focused on what they do well--which is traditional German food. While I wish they might add a few classic German appetizers to their menu for variety, their range of entrees provides ample choice and I am slowly making my way through those selections. Lola, one of our servers for the evening, quickly took our drink orders.  I ordered a mug of Hofbrau Original Lager (on tap) and after being given a tasting, my wife ordered a pint of Hofbrau Weissbier (which is similar to the sort of wheat beer she occasionally enjoys).  So refreshing.  A basket of house-made thinly sliced Roggenbrot (rye bread) arrived soon after our drinks with softened butter, lightly sprinkled with sea salt. We passed on the appetizers, knowing that our entrees would be substantial.  My wife ordered the Wienershcnitzel which comes with braised red cabbage and house-made spaetzle lightly sauced with a cream gravy.  These are classic sides which one can find served in restaurants from Vienna or Munich to Heidelberg or Berlin.  I ordered exactly the same thing (having tried other dishes on our prior visits), except I ordered my Wienerschnitzel "a la Holstein" (with a fried local farm egg).  The egg, especially the large yolk, provides an added level of lusciousness to the crispy veal.   Our meals arrived in due course.  They were gorgeous to look at and ate even better than they looked.  The spaetzles were soft and fluffy, the red cabbage was rich and well spiced, and the veal . . . the veal was heavenly.  Crisp on the outside, fork tender on the inside, dipping into a bit of the egg yolk (in my case); goodness what a delightful taste sensation. Just delicious.  We both earned "clean plate" certificates tonight--suitable for framing--felt satiated, but not overly full (which is where we like to end a meal).  We nursed our beers a bit longer, sharing memories from this special day, paid our bill (the bill encouraged customers to tip in cash, which we did), thanked the staff, bid the co-owner "danke schön und Wiedersehen" and we were on our way.

Lenox has some really cool spots and Ombra is one of them. Recommended by a local, we stopped here on Valentine's Day after our dinner for a nice glass of wine. The place was crowded but luckily a few people were leaving so we scored some seats at the bar. I ordered a glass of Nebbiolo from Italy which was good. My husband had a beer. The place is so cute and very romantic with dim lights, a great wine selection and their food looked so good. Unfortunately, we were so full that we did not end up ordering anything. We met a local who is very nice and told us how Ombra is very popular. I think we will have to come back in the spring/summer to get those french fries :) If you are ever in Lenox definitely make your way to Ombra for a nice glass of wine or try a cocktail.
