Shotgun Shrimp Po'Boy - This is the best item on the menu, and it's a must get. The shrimp is lightly breaded, and their shotgun sauce is sweet, savory, and a little spicy. 5/5 stars. Bubba's Lasagna - Everything you wanted the lasagna to be. Not greasy, good flavor, and the focaccia bread is artisan quality. 5/5 stars. Salmon - Good portion size but overcooked and dry. It's almost perfect but there's just something missing. 4.5/5 stars. Side Salad - If you don't like salad, this one will change your mind. Just get a side salad, cause it's pretty big. I attempted to recreate this at home, but it didn't come close. 5/5 stars. Spicy Italian Pizza - This one was forgettable. I don't remember a whole lot about it. I'd skip pizzas here. There's much, much better food on the menu. 3/5 stars. Blackberry Lemonade - I've tried the blue lemonade and the mango lemonade, but they both suck compared to the blackberry flavor. Just get the blackberry, and you'll be happy. 5/5 stars. We've been here 3 times. Every time the service is great, and the place is a bit loud cause the place is usually packed. No weird dances like Texas Roadhouse, but you won't miss it. Plenty of TVs to try and find something decent to watch. Go here, you won't be disappointed. Highly recommend.

What I really admitted about this place is the owner walking around communicating with everyone and checking to see if everything was going ok!! She was really sweet. Also shoutout to our server Noah who was awesome and funny. Not only was he gents or he also recommended! For it to be a carpeted space, it was very clean on the inside and smelled really fresh. The smell of food hit me before I even got inside. The seats were comfortable and they even had bar searing as well as an event space room. The food really deserves its own review but I can't leave two . Everything I would get again no questions asked! My only suggestion would be maybe add a tad of seasoning to the wings but the smoke flavor and sauce was too tier! Easy 10/10 for me!

Felt like the youngest one there and maybe got a few stink eyes, but hey I came for the food. :) Might build my own burger next time and see what happens. Bottoms up Morgan's!

Ducky's - duck pin bowling is fun, but is the food good?…read more Ducky's advertises themselves as a scrap kitchen. So...it should be good, right? They don't have a very big menu. There are five entrees to go along with a small amount of burger, chicken tender and appetizer choices. I went with the burger of the month - the pizza burger. The friendly waiter said the pizza sauce was made in house from scratch. The sauce was outstanding! It was thick and sweet with a bold tomato paste taste. The bun was soft and slightly grilled with a buttery flavor - very nice! It is odd that the burger is served in halves and vertical. The burger patty was very thin and cooked to a medium well done consistency - I would prefer medium rare but they didn't ask my preference. I thought the burger was over cooked and a bit tough/crunchy on the edges. It did have and nice high quality meat flavoring as it is sourced locally. The burger was covered with grilled pepperoni. This added a nice "pizza" flavor when combined with a nice bedding of mozzarella cheese. My wife really liked her chicken tenders. They were nice and moist. The breading was unique, tasty and crispy. She said the fries were very good while the best part might have been the house fry dipping sauce. That sauce was a nice combination of southwest and traditional meat flavorings. The side salad, to replace the fries, was fresh yet very small. The salad came in a half-ball type dish that was slightly larger than half a baseball. The half ball was actually unstable to eat out of. I had to cup the bowl with one hand to keep it from tipping over. The salad had a few side tomato and pepper parts added. There just isn't much room for things in this small of a dish. We decided to try the strawberry bread pudding for dessert. This was a fantastic dish! The breading was basically two pieces of fried French toast. It was soft on the inside with a cinnamon swirl and strawberry pieces. The breading was drizzled with a thin moderately sweet strawberry flavored syrup. The syrup was accompanied by some fresh whipped cream also bathed in syrup. Overall, Ducky's does have good food. They have a limited menu at moderately expensive prices. My preference would be to sit down and enjoy the scratch made items versus squeezing them in while you bowl. Also consider dinning at Ducky's and walking across the street the Pearl Arts Center for a program.

Big Eyed Fish on Wells Street - when you have a craving for Fish & Stroh style fish and tarter…read moresauce Yes, I know that I could go to Stroh to get this old time flavor. However, Big Eyed Fish is pretty good fish in its own right, local...and flavored like the taste I remember from the past. We visited the Big Eyed Fish location on Well's street. They have an express shop located on Huegenard Road and another dine in location at Leo Crossing. This location has been in service since 2003. It has a nice diner feel with super friendly service. You can find parking on the street or in the lot behind the store. The inside is rather large and works well for parties up to about 8 diners. There is a small bar and TV's if that is your thing. They also have a big and varied menu including breakfast items. Here is a run down of the food items: -Fried Fish: the white fish fillet is thin and fried with a thin breading. The fish is moist and tender. It will flake apart with a fork or by hand. The breading has a slight amount of seasoning and isn't very oily to taste. It has a taste similar to the Fish & Stroh style if you are familiar with that. The fillets are not very filling. For an extra $3...I went with the all you can eat option. Delicious fish! -Tarter Sauce: I love tarter sauce. In fact I might order fish to go with my tarter sauce - lol. This mayo based sauce is reasonably thick, somewhat sweet and has a hint of pickle flavoring. It's creamy and makes a perfect complement to the fried fish flavor. -Baked Beans: this side really surprised me. The bean is small and contained hamburger pieces. The sauce had a slight BBQ flavor but not enough to classify it as a BBQ baked bean dish. The meat flavor was a nice add to the smooth tomato spiced sauce. Delicious!! -Cole Slaw: I kind of use KFC as the standard for Cole Slaw. This is very similar. The slaw pieces are cut very small with only one kind of slaw. Seemingly no additives - just slaw. The sauce is mayo based, a bit more sweet along with a hint of vinegar. I loved this side too! -Hush Puppies: these balls are pretty small in diameter. The inside is very modista and sweet with that southern style corn bread taste. The outside is thicker, a bit oily to taste and has a mild corn bread taste/texture. These are probably some of the best hush puppies I've had in my southern raised life.
