An upate is way over due - My wife and I celebrated our anneversary here last night. We met and married in Vancouver BC and loved our Indian curries there. So curries make us sentimental! Medium spice is medium - just the right "bite". The two veggie samosas we shared could have been the whole meal for me. Man, they were good! They were so flavorful and cooked perfectly crispy. My wife had a chicken dish and, as large a portion as it was (could easily been for two). She ate the whole thing saying how yummy it was frequently. The service was friendly and prompt but not pushy or slow. I couldn't ask for more. My 2013 initial review stands plus one more star than then. read more

We gave this place a try for lunch based on the reviews. The buffet looked so appetizing that we chose it before we saw a menu. Channa Masala, Dahl, Saag Paneer, Chicken Curry, Goat Curry, Butter Chicken, Tandoori Chicken, and of course, rice and naan. All of their dishes were tasty and they had a nice variety to their sauces. The staff was efficient and welcoming. At $13.95 this place is a deal. I only wish that I lived nearby! read more

Non vegetarian curry chefs special is what I believe the meal that I got was. It was amazing. I loved everything in it but especially the butter chicken. The service was amazing also. I accidentally didnt read the times they were open and walked in 8 mins past the time they were closed. The owners let me order anyways and I am sooo happy they did, the food was that good. Fabulous North Indian food, with campy Bollywood soap operas about vampires playing (silently) on the tv screen in back. Loved the friendly service, and my whole family (including the toddler) enjoyed the food. The staff were sweet and familial towards my kiddo, which is a quick way to win many stars from me. The Lunch special is very generous and so reasonably priced, if you get there before 2 I recommend ordering that- for a taste of many of their best dishes. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was full. We chose the lunch buffet, priced reasonably. The curries were tasty but the nan was a bit overcooked. The salad was good and the rice pudding was a nice touch for dessert. We also had a mango lassi. Overall an ok place for lunch if you want curries and a buffet with all you can eat. read more

Omg, what? Outstanding, very very good. I have literally no negative things to say about this and I have eaten: naan, lamb vindaloo, chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, the tandoori chicken,veg curry, goat curry (wow), malai kofta, korma, and some of the best bharta I've ever had. Super duper hot and you can still taste the eggplant and tomatoes. Most places cannot do that; it's either heat or flavor, but this place uniquely does both. Too much rice, man. They give huge boxes with each order; they need to give smaller amounts or sell separately. I have four unopened boxes of rice in my fridge. I guess I have to order again. This is the best East / South Indian restaurant around! The staff is polite, military discount (dinner times), and the food is incredible. I tried everything on the menu and loved it all. My favorite is the Baingan ka Bharta (Indian Eggplant) and the fish biryani. I can't say enough good things about this place so I will leave it at that. read more

Tucktaway in a small corner but big things come in small packages. Walking in seating is very basic open but you could smell the food coming from the kitchen. I only went here for the lunch buffet it was $13 and had a decent selection of food. The food was pretty good I had the chicken masala mushroom masala and the Non-bread or however it's spelled. This is my favorite Indian restaurant of time. And believe me, I've had a lot of Indian food in my life. Real authentic Indian food made by many friends from different states from India. My friend and I are always willing to take a 40 minute drive to eat here... and when we do we order a lot! And we are NEVER disappointed. These are the items we have ordered and recommend: - Aloo Chat (Heaven! Light and beautiful!) - Samosas with chutney - Chicken Tikka Masala - Butter Masala Paneer (this is my fav) - Chicken Korma - Garlic Nan - Lasi - Chicken Vindaloo (but if you like your curry spicy Indian hot and ask for the hottest they can go... it's not that spicy/hot at all - but remember everyone is different on defining what spicy hot is). My friend and I ordered everything on that list yesterday except the samosas and we paid around $35 each. The prices are way too generous here if you ask me. Back in Philadelphia we would of easily paid $50-$60 each! The best deal you can get here is during lunch where you can get a whole plate of food including curry(s), vegetables, rice/nan and a dessert! I think most people will take left overs home! If I were to only order two things, I would get the aloo chat and paneer/chicken butter masala. Both items are absolute perfection and have yet to find another place that can compete with the quality of their food. The aloo chat is light and fresh and the butter masala is soo creamy and fragrant. Every bite is as good as the last! Please don't change a thing! Being new to WA this was the first place I tried. We walked in and ordered, it took about 20 minutes for our order to be ready which seemed fast bc this place was packed! The flavor was phenomenal. We asked for one order to be extra Spicy and she delivered! We ordered the classic chicken tikka missala. The other one that had no spice was just as flavorful. My toddlers ate all of it. I can't wait to come back here and try more entrees. Next time I hope to eat there bc it had good vibes and friendly service. read more

This restaurant is very easy to order from for pick up and right on time. I've often found take out to be a fraction of what comes on the plate when you dine-in. Not the case with Curry House; generous portions and well packed for travel. We go out of our way to get food from here as our local Indian restaurant isn't as good. Quality has hone way down and the prices way up over the past few years. Like 18.00 for butter chicken, with a few dried, string pieces of repurposed tandoori chicken. Still not as good as Curry Corner, which is where the owner came from. He used to be a cook there. They seem to be doing brisk business though with lazybones people who use delivery apps. Avoid this place if you are looking for good Indian food. The only real option in the area is Curry Corner. read more

Called in for take out and asked them to keep it very mild on spices. It was so spicy that it was inedible! Pros Vegetable samosa was not bad Red sweet sauce was delicious Cons Rice was dry and bland Spinach Naan was so heavily salted and spiced it was absolutely inedible! Daal Makhana was over spiced Cilantro chutney or green sauce that came with samosas had some unnaturally Neón green color to it. I make cilantro chutney at home and it doesn't have that color. Upon closer examination I saw small green particles, not of natural food origin. Perhaps food coloring. Not coming back here. read more

Hands down the best Indian food I've ever had. We ordered the non-vegetarian curry house special which was more than enough for 2 people to share (wish the menu stated that, we almost ordered too much food!) On a cold Friday night we managed to get seated right away, but feel like we were in a restaurant that was full of life. The humble pride the family has that owns this restaurant is tangible, this place is a gem that showcases culture in the delicious plates they serve. My favorite Indian food take out in the area! Always am pleased with the order no matter what I get. I usually get a vegetarian dish (paneer or a korma) and always happy with it. Portions are big and I feel like there is plenty of rice and naan to share. My husband always gets chicken tikka masala wherever we go and he loves this one. The lunch specials are my favorite so if you have the time, go for that! A variety of food for less! This is one of my new favorite spots! The food is delicious and priced very well. My husband isn't a huge fan of Indian cuisine and he left very satisfied so that has to say something! The waitress was very sweet and tried to make my daughter laugh as she screamed and threw food . We just ordered a side of rice with veggies for my daughter and it was huge. My husband ordered an appetizer that was as big as a whole meal so you really get a lot for you money here. Just had an AWESOME din din here with my mom. First, I am going to tell you- this is what service should be. The employees here were so pleasant and made sure we were taken care of. Now- the FOOOOOD! We had the Aloo Chat appetizer to start. This little dish is served cold. It contained tomato, chick pea, cucumber, potato and crispy bread. The sauce it was in was unlike anything I have ever tasted. We ordered the "Vegetarian Special" which came with 3 entrees, rice, naan, sauce and dessert. Of course we ordered an extra Garlic Nann. Every thing was spiced just perfectly. The richness of the dishes was not overwhelming, but just right. Seriously great food and great service! We left with 2 to-go containers jam packed full of Indian goodness. I am already looking forward to my lunch tomorrow :) read more

Stopped in for a quick bite while traveling through. We had the chicken curry, chicken tikka masala, tandoori chicken, rice pudding and naan.
