We actually went to the one on Muddy Ranch in Gaithersburg. The $9.00 buffet was hot, fresh and delicious. Best deal around for lunch.

Delicious. Lots of food for the money. Small, but good buffet. Not a lot of tables, come early for lunch. Best palak paneer anywhere.

I drive all the way from downtown Silver Spring for this place. So delicious and cheap!! Literally half of what you pay at other Indian spots. Some of the things I've tried and LOVED: bhel puri, veggie samosa, chicken biriyani, butter chicken, paneer tikka masala...and several other things. I've had only the lamb curry & the saag; but both were crazy good. The lamb was perfectly cooked & tender. Not the chewy chunks you normally find. The saag was almost creamy, in a good way. Well priced. The guy in the restaurant was very nice and patient while I looked at the menu for several minutes with crippling indecision. read more

Jewel of a find. Started with the samosas which were perfect! The dough was flaky and the filking had just the right amount of spices. The paneer tikki had a wonderful hint of smome to it. Moving on to our entrees, the chicken vindaloo had the right amount of heat to clear your sinuses but didnt over power the rest of the sauce which had deep rich flavor. The chicken briani was also quite good altho personally, I'd request white meat only. The service was good and the staff attentive. This place was highly recommended to us by a friend of mine. My husband and I finally decided to try this place last week, we did carry out. Man oh mann...the food was delicious!! It actually tasted fresh, not some old warmed up food. The flavors were just right; I am drooling as I write this review. We ordered samosas, chicken lollipop, tandoori chicken, and chicken khadai and each item was a big hit for both of us! Nothing was extremely spicy, neither was it bland, it had perfect amount of flavor and was simply finger licking good! You can always request to adjust to your spice level. The food in this place is fabulous. I'm a brit who's been living in the US for 14 years desperately trying to find a good indian restaurant. This place is probably better than 90% of the Indian restaurants I've been to back in the UK, and certainly the best by far I've been to in the US. The staff was quick and diligent. The food was deliciously amazing. The price was rather inexpensive considering the quality of the food. This place is clean; the wait staff is friendly; price is reasonable; the wait staff is attentive; and the food is delicious (full of flavor but without being overly greasy/oily like most of the Indian restaurants I've tried). I'm fairly new to Indian food, but I know what tastes good! I stopped in for the lunch buffet and everything I tried was excellent. The food tastes fresh and wasn't overly spicey - simply delicious. I agree with another reviewer in that there aren't a lot of items on the buffet, but what's there is really good. Love the lunch buffet. Place is pretty small and collects a lot of workers from nearby Dpt of Energy so seating may be limited. Usually a half-dozen entrees plus tandoor chicken on buffet. Dishes are normally very good to excellent. Fresh naan served with meal. Very reasonable $. read more

I have been a regular customer for years, but I ordered food for take out and would never go back again. Veg spring rolls weren't cooked at all. Paneer tikka was just a red block of paneer, no flavor, with one onion slice and a lemon wedge. Hakka noodles was again not cooked right, no flavors, had to fish for veggies in there. Gobi Manchurian on the other hand was too greasy. Bhaigan malai sauce had curdled cream floating around. This place once had flavorful naan. The ones yesterday were dry and thick. Overall awful flavors and food was not worth the money. Customer service on the other hand was bad. Called in to place an order for pick up, was put on hold a couple times during conversation without notice. When I got back home I noticed that 2 appetizer orders were missing. I was asked to come back to the restaurant since they forgot to place the order in the bag. When I asked if they could deliver, the lady refused and said she can adjust the money next time and not even refund. I wish I could give them 0 stars. read more

My wife and I were looking forward to authentic Indian food and were greatly disappointed by Curry Place. They promised to make the dishes mild but the end result was excessively spicy. The "lamb" tasted like beef, so I question whether or not it is even lamb. I know my lamb, because I've been eating it for the past 44 years. Also, the cashier assured us that the meat was halal. We find that highly questionable as the restaurant stank of beer and serves a variety of alcoholic beverages. Lastly, the meat/rice in both of our meals did not taste fresh. The fair prices and fantastic food will make Curry Palace part of my rotation in Germantown. I've had carry-out from here twice. Each time the food has been fresh and delicious. The Butter Chicken is a dish I could eat multiple times per week. The Paneer Tikki Masala is a well seasoned vegetarian dish that has me wanting to explore that part of the menu further. With two small children/picky eaters, eating out at an Indian restaurant is not in my best interest, but with great quality for carry-out Curry Palace solves that issue. read more

Beyond decent Indian food. Slightly chewy, flavorful, crispy naan. Junky, corn-syrupy, bland mango chutney. Perfectly blended (mechanically and spice-wise) baingan bharta. Rich, perfectly cooked and seasoned paneer tikka masala. Soft, well-clumped rice. Service was polite and thorough, albeit slow. Prices are unbeatable in Montgomery County.
